I am thinking fo selling my Wii. But I have over $150.00 in download games on it. Like PC Engine stuff, Nes, Arcade games, and your standand classic game collector games. I am so confused reading online if my Wii Virtual Console games will play on a Wii-U. I know I can transfer them over but reading up online I see no Mega Drive, or PC Engine support in the Wii-U master list. Is every Wii game that you could have downloaded compatible or just the Wii Ware stuff?

Also, maybe I will just sell my Wii and buy them all back. Is the Wii-U shop the same as the Wii shop? I would be upset if I sold my Wii and couldn't buy back Dracula X, Sin and Punishment, and Dynastic Hero.

You can transfer all of them to the Wii U, and they will play in the Wii U's Wii mode, where the Wii U emulates a normal Wii. But be warned you cannot use the gamepad currently with anything in Wii mode on the Wii U, and the Wii U lacks Gamecube controller ports, so to play anything that needs more buttons than the standard Wii mote has such as SNES, N64, etc... you will need a classic controller pro for wii.

Bravo to them for having made the option. It's sad that this might have come at the cost of using an "out of date" system which put them at a disadvantage in the market; I wish more companies actually had a plan for keeping Virtual Console-type releases relevant through generation changes.

Yeah it's frustrating. You should just have an account and yo should simply log in and all your crap should be there ready for download. But what do they care if you buy it 20 times or can't ever play it again. They already got their cash.

Checking the list of what you can't transfer, the first mentioned was Lost Winds. Talk about a bummer. Anyone able to confirm if this also means the sequel?

And that of course is one of the games I have. Where is this list?
