Hey, this is my first post here, I hope you guys can help me. I just got a turbo express from ebay, it's my second one, and I went through and replaced all of the capacitors. Everything looks and sounds great, the only problem is that the controls don't work. I did replace the capacitor on the controller board. When I put in Victory Run, after a few seconds on the title screen it goes to a name input, and the cursor constantly goes down, like down is being pressed constantly.

I hooked up the controller board from my good turbo express and it's the same thing, so I'm thinking it's something on the main board. Any ideas where I might start looking? I haven't found anything out of the ordinary yet.

i'm not sure about turbo express systems in general but it seems to me that one of the many things on the motherboard between the controller board connector and where ever the traces are going might be a fuse.
it could be a super tiny surface mount pain in tha butt sort of fuse too.

if your good one doesent work at all, like no signs of life not even a little wiggle when hitting a button then it might be time to break out a multimeter and start poking and prodding.

I would test your working one to see what pins give what readings and then move onto the broken one and see whats different and then go from there
