I actually found something worth posting. I also had a 30% off coupon which helped. I'm not sure about current value though, especially for a complete copy.

Thanks for that link. It is a bit hard to find info on it, it's not listed properly here on the DP guide either. It is on Atari Age listed as an R9 which is why I thought I should get it. Usually I try to stick to $5 tops for any game purchase as that's my personal comfort zone, but I make exceptions when I obviously should. At least now I do. It's been ages since I've found any game stuff remotely as good/interesting as this game.

That original ebay listing for a complete copy shows a listing of $1999.99 but it sold with a best offer option, I guess it could have been sold at $1500.00 though I can't exactly find conclusive proof to confirm the amount. A photo of it is still available to see on watchcount, but the best offer price still can't be found from it. It used to be possible to find the actual best offer prices before ebay made some changes to their site.

I did manage to find this yesterday, priced at $4.99 and I used a $2 off coupon. It's complete with inserts. Out of two large stacks of DS games it was the only game really worth getting. I'm surprised I even found this so soon as it's been mediocre for games for the longest time. Usually just terrible trash games or common titles priced more than they're worth, or just recent gen games that I have no real interest in. I might find the odd controller but usually just broken systems or hookups I don't really need. I mostly find non-game stuff that's still decent. I did pass on a few things today, a loose untested GBA SP with a lousy game for $19.99, a loose PS2 slim that was modded but looked to have coffee spilled all over it(I think for $14.99-$19.99?), and a loose Xbox One controller for $3.99 which was priced well but I can't really test these at home and I assume these to be defective in some way because it seems too current to be donated(maybe I'm paranoid). I'm ignoring all the damaged/overpriced Wii, PS3, PS2, Xbox 360 consoles and hookups that are usually there. Maybe I miss other good stuff because I'm not there the whole day.

I found this Coleco Pac-Man tabletop in a thrift while on vacation. No battery door (of course), bad stickers, but it was only a dollar. I need to pick up some batteries to give it a go. If it doesn't work, I have one that's got a bad joystick, maybe I can do a salvage on this one. Or turn it into a Raspberry Pi project.https://i.ibb.co/7RLhd15/pacman1.jpg

Shockingly, I found more stuff on vacation. I found another copy of Boing! for the Atari 2600, in the same flea market where I found my old copy a few years ago. It was a dollar. The joystick however cost $15, which doesn't bother me since I've wanted one since seeing it in catalogs back in the day. The joystick is a Milton Bradley Flight Commander joystick (missing the giant target sight on the tip) for the Atari 2600. I've had the pack-in game for it, Spitfire Attack, for years but I always wanted the controller too. I'm happy to have one now, even though it's in really rough shape.

I went to a thrift store today and noticed quite a few games behind the counter. There were probably about 10 boxed SNES games but it was really hard to look with customers checking out and all the cashiers were busy so I figured I'd ask about them when we were ready to check out. But of course when we did about 10 minutes later, EVERY SINGLE ONE WAS GONE!!! :grrr:

I did end up getting Donkey Kong Country Returns(Wii) and Prince of Persia Revelations(PSP) though.

The local Goodwill got a butt-load of donations from Gamestop. Over the week stuff's been trickling out but nothing that sparked my interest. Tonight I picked up Crime Scene, Clubhouse Games (both complete) and Transformers: Autobots (case and game) for DS for a total of $11.

I handed Transformers to my third youngest and he couldn't figure it out but another traded him so he could take a crack at it. At twelve years old he couldn't figure it out. Then I get questions like I mastered it (played it once when it came out).

I'll have to make sure I hit up that Goodwill to see if anything good hits the floor. I did pass up a Minecraft for 3DS for $15 and a Fire Emblem for 3DS (no idea on price) a week ago.

The site from your link shows the complete game sold for $1500, and going to the actual source ebay link shows the game as sold for $1999.00. I would have to trust that this site actually recorded the best offer amount properly, from that ebay link I can only see the original buy-it-now pricing of $1999.00 as they don't display the best offer prices. Ebay used to show the actual sold pricing for best offers but only if viewed through another country's site, it's since been changed so I can't do that anymore. So it might have sold for $1500 or maybe not, also assuming that the buyer actually followed through on the payment and didn't request a partial refund later or any funny business.

It's also difficult to know current pricing as pricing can change over several years and there's very few examples of recent pricing for this condition. I'll have to decide if I want to keep it for myself, possibly sell it, or possibly trade it for several rare games that I've actively been looking for. Four figures would certainly be nice. :)

I have found a few other things recently but haven't got around to taking pictures, I'm not sure if it's worth the effort for the other stuff. I'll see if I get around to posting it.

Also found a bag of Disney Infinity stuff that the wife is now playing with the kids...after not touching it for years.

Got myself another Nintendo Wii, bought at a Salvation Army store for $9.99. Shockingly it works, I have two others but neither have working disc drives. This one seemed to be owned by an actual adult who didn't drop it on concrete all the time like kids seem to do.

Couldn't find any of the handful of Wii games I own, so went out to a used game/movie store today and bought a dozen titles that looked the least "kiddie". House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return, Rygar, Cruis'n, Heatseeker, Geometry Wars Galaxies, Ghost Squad, The Conduit, Battle Rage, Brunswick Zone Cosmic Bowling, Counter Force, Heavenly Guardian, Dragon Blade; Wrath of Fire, and Ocean Commander. They were between $3.99 and $6.99 except for House of the Dead which was $14.99. Pretty slim pickings as far as non-childish games goes for the Wii.

I also picked up a loose Atari 2600 cartridge, Sea Hunt by Froggo, for $9.99.

The first used Wii I bought had the disc drive problem, so I found a three-part YouTube video on how to fix it, took the console apart, and couldn't get the next video to load. Turns out near the end of the video my modem took a power spike and died, it was a month before I ended up with a replacement. By the time I got my internet back I had given up on that console. I only spent maybe $8 on that Wii, it's too much frustration to bother with.

My finds as of late have been a bit slow. However, I did manage a pretty good score last month in the form of an RCA Studio II (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RCA_Studio_II), with its original box, and three games. The system itself seems to be complete, including the cool molded styrofoam packing material, as well as paperwork. The games are similarly complete, with boxes and manuals. Should make for an excellent addition to the "Hall o' Fail" if/when I ever get my museum up and running:

In addition, I attended a local flea market today, and picked up both an Atari Flashback 2 and an original 'fat' PlayStation 3, both without cables. I haven't taken a picture of the Flashback 2 yet, but the PS3 looks to be in fairly good shape overall, if not likely to be the version with all the backwards compatibility (only has two USB ports on the front). Still think I probably did pretty good for $5:

I went to Midwest Gaming Classic last weekend and was able to pick up a few wants:

Vita: Metal Gear Solid Collection (case and card) $25
DS: Metroid Prime Hunters (complete) $15
3DS The Legend of Zelda: OoT T-Shirt $15
Original Xbox controller Type S $5 (bought untested but works!)

That Saturday I stopped at a store in my daughter's home city to find Pac-Man plush for my son. There I found GTA:Liberty City Stories for PSP, which was on my list and I had store credit. So that got snapped up.

Wow. It's amazing to think that somebody was still holding on to a boxed RCA Studio II after all this time, and it didn't end up in a trash can. I'm totally jealous. It's one of the few pre-crash consoles I don't have (that and an original Odyssey). It's great that it's going to somebody who will treasure it rather than ending up in a landfill.

Now that I have a working Wii console and the desire to collect for it I've ended up buying around 40 games for it altogether. It's pretty easy to buy for since all the stores with Wii games keep having "buy 2 get 1 free" sales around Easter, and a lot of the games are under $5, and the shelves aren't stripped of any good games like the GameCube sections of game stores lately.

If you ever find yourself in the Shreveport, Louisiana area you can go to the Greenwood Flea Market just west of town. In the east side of the building is a lady with a bunch of Atari games, and there's always a copy of Spitfire Attack there. No top label, but the end label's still on. It's been there for years. It's the same flea market I found the controller for that game at, along with all sorts of odds and ends over the years.

I went flea market shopping today; it was one of those situations where I drive out pretty far for a flea market, don't find anything, then decide to drive out even farther. I ended up using almost a tank of gas and drove around for 7 hours. Time really got away from me! Didn't find anything at flea markets, but I bought a bunch of Wii games at buy 2 get 1 free sale prices at a few GameXchange stores, about 14 in total. Also bought Kether for the Philips CD-i for $7.95 (A store had CD-i games! They even had 2 of the Zelda "games" and Hotel Mario! I have Hotel Mario already and one of the Zelda "games" so I can't imagine spending over $100 for any of them, but it's still good to see) and a loose Atari 800 cartridge (with a damaged label) of Submarine Commander by Thorn EMI for $12.95.

For those of you who haven’t seen my post in the “import purchases” thread, I haven’t logged into DP in almost two years!

Here’s my backlog of un-posted finds for that period:

Systems:

Playstation 4 1 TB Model (New)

Game Boy Advance SP Charcoal Colour (Used)

New Games:

Cave Story + (Switch) - Even though I don’t have a Switch console yet, I wanted to grab this while the first print run (with manual & mini OST) was still available.

Code Realize: Future Blessings Limited Edition (Vita) - The only reason I bought it is because apparently there were only 2000 copies of the Vita LE printed.

Code Realize: Wintertide Miracles (Vita)

Collar X Malice (Vita)

Detective Pikachu (3DS)

Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Hacker’s Memory (PS4)

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze (Switch) - Got this during last year’s Black Friday sales.

Dust: An Elysian Tail (Limited Run Switch Release) - I have this digitally on my PS4, but I always prefer physical copies when available.

Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past (3DS)

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King (3DS)

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age (PS4) - I will also be double-dipping for the Switch version, so I can re-play the game in 2D mode.

Harry Potter & The Prisoner of Azkaban (GBA)

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue (PS4)

Kingdom Hearts III (PS4) - I had this preordered for $50.00 (Canadian) since E3 2017!

Kirby: Planet Robobot (3DS)

Kirby Star Allies (Switch) - A chain of Canadian stores (The Source) had a temporary clearance sale on all their games. So I got this for $29.99 (plus tax)!

The Liar Princess and The Blind Prince (Switch)

The Longest Five Minutes (Switch) - I found a new copy for cheap on Amazon.

Monster Boy & The Cursed Kingdom (PS4) - While playing through the game, one of music tracks reminded me of the music from an Ys game. When I looked up the composer, I discovered he previously composed tracks for Ys Books I & II!

Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom Premium Edition (PS4)

Sabrina The Animated Series: Spooked (GBC)

Sega Genesis Classics (PS4)

Shantae and the Pirates Curse (3DS)

Shantae: Risky’s Revenge (Limited Run PS4 Release) - This was the first PS4 game I bought. I found in a small game shop one town over from mine.

Sonic Forces (PS4)

Sonic Mania Plus Japanese Launch Edition (PS4) - I bought this because of the exclusive soundtrack CD.

Tales of Berseria Collector’s Edition (PS4)

Undertale Collector’s Edition (PS4)

Yo-Kai Watch 3 (3DS) - I originally had this preordered, but then I cancelled it after being unimpressed with Yo-Kai Watch 2. However, when I realized the game was actually way better than YW2, I could not find any copies at the MSRP! The only place still selling for a the MSRP was Nintendo’s own online store.

Ys Origin (Limited Run Vita Release)

Ys VIII: The Lacrimosa of Dana Limited Edition (Vita)

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (Switch) - Like Kirby Star Allies, I got this for $29.99 plus tax. But it was a different retailer, and I suspect it was specific to that one particular store.

Used Games - Complete, unless otherwise noted:

Akiba’s Beat (Vita)

Breath of Fire (GBA, Cart Only)

Crash Bandicoot: The Insane Trilogy (PS4) - These remakes/remasters fix the issues I had with the original game’s save system.

Crash Bandicoot: The Huge Adventure (GBA, Cart Only)

Crash Bandicoot: N-Tranced (GBA, Cart Only)

Dragon Warrior III (GBC, Cart Only)

DuckTales 2 (GB, Cart Only)

Harry Potter & The Philosopher’s Stone (GBC, Cart Only)

Harry Potter & The Chamber of Secrets (GBC, Cart Only)

Kid Dracula (GB, Cart Only)

Legacy of Ys: Books I & II (DS)

Mole Mania (GB, Cart Only)

Mother 1+2 English Reproduction (GBA, Cart Only)

Mother 3 English Reproduction Cart (GBA, Cart Only)

Persona 5 Steelbook Edition (PS4)

Pokemon Adventure (GB Pirate, Cart Only) - This is weird Sonic clone starring Pikachu!

Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed (Vita)

Suikoden (PS1)

Super Mario Bros. Deluxe (GBC, Cart Only)

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition (PS4)

World of Final Fantasy (Vita)

Yo-Kai Watch 2: Psychic Spectres (3DS)

Ys: Memories of Celceta (Vita) - I bought this from a Craigslist seller, who later became a good friend of mine.

Ys: The Oath in Felghana Premium Edition (PSP)

Ys: The Ark of Napishtim (PSP)

Ys Seven Premium Edition (PSP)

Used Strategy Guides:

The Art of Ni no Kuni II (Bought New)

Sonic Heroes (Prima)

Tales of Legendia (Bradygames)

Ys: The Ark of Napishtim (Bradygames)

I went on another search for non-kiddie Nintendo Wii games again today, and came across this in a Movie Trading Company for $19.99.

https://i.ibb.co/gZQV2Sb/heavybarrel.jpg (https://ibb.co/9HBtDbm)

I'm disappointed with it. I was imagining that it would be the original arcade game, maybe hacked to use a regular joystick rather than the spinner joystick it originally used. It never occured to me that it would be the crappy port to the NES. I've bought a generic Famiclone-type machine in that same arcade cab style case, with a bunch of terrible or hacked games on it (oddly enough, bought at a Hastings Entertainment that used to be in the location the Movie Trading Company where I bought this one currently is) from this same manufacturer and was horribly disappointed with that one too. Looks like this is my final purchase from the My Arcade company.

I stopped at a local thrift to find some books by Mary Higgins Clark for my wife as she's laid up from foot surgery. Found a bunch along with some gaming hoodies:

GBA games with DS case $2: games were Pokemon Sapphire, Polly Pocket, Backyard Football and I think a Lizzie McQuire game. The case looks like a tiny purse with the inside resembling the looks and texture of a jewelry box.

Guitar Hero for DS: $1. Included accessory and game.

Today:

Bought a Genesis II with cables and several controllers for $10 at a yard sale. Glad I got something at all.

So, my kids (7 and 3) have been really getting into Disney Infinity lately, but we only have the gimped Wii version which doesn't have multiplayer in the playset mode, so me and my wife had been kinda sorta toying with the idea of getting one of the newer systems that has the feature.

So, anyways. while looking for some additional characters for them to use with it we ran across the following lot for $110.

A Wii-U system
Pro controller
A couple Wii motion plus controllers
Pretty much all the Disney Infinity 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 characters
A few Skylanders characters
And the following games...
-Batman Arkham City
-Disney Infinity
-Disney Infinity 2.0
-Disney Infinity 3.0
-Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze

I wasn't necessarily in the market for(/couldn't justify buying) a Wii-U but it seemed too good a deal to pass up...even if it is an oddity of a system that never really caught on. But hey, I have quite a few of those in my collection from generations past.

Persona 3 Official Design Works (Used, Udon English Ver.) - $8.39

This art book, as well as the P4 and Bravely Second ones list below were all found my local Value Village. When I researched the books at home, I realized the P3 one was out of print and stupidly expensive.

Persona 4 Official Design Works (Used, Udon English Ver.) - $9.33

Bravely Second Design Works (Japanese) - $9.33

Poinie’s Poin (Used, Complete) - $21.06

Technically this should have been in the import finds thread, but I thought it wasn't worth it for one game. Actually, it was a post in the import thread that made me aware of this game's existence. For those unaware, despite this being a Japan only release, the game is playable in English. Even weirder is the fact the English script was apparently written by one of the writers of South Park (and it shows)!

Sand of Destruction The Complete Series Anime Set (Used, Complete) - $5.37

The Muppets Blu-Ray (New, Sealed) - $5.58

WiiU Pro Controller - $6.70

I found this randomly hanging in the electronics section of Value Village. I picked it up thinking I a cheap alternative to the Switch Pro Controller. As it turns out, it can be made compatible with the adapter below.

8Bitdo Wireless Bluetooth Adapter - MSRP

While I don't have Switch yet, I was able to get the WiiU Pro Controller and adapter working with some game emulators on my MacBook.

The Very Best of Sega (Fan Remix CD) - $14.99

Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D (Complete, Nintendo Selects Ver.) - $19.95

Freedom Planet Deluxe Edition (Limited Run Games Preorder) - MSRP

Skies of Arcadia Eternal Soundtrack (Wayo Record Preorder) - MSRP

Last I heard, this will be shipping out sometime this month.

A few weeks ago my daughter broke the hinge off her Zelda 3DS XL system. I bought a replacement one (after market) and attempted to swap out the plastic. Two hours and a crooked back (from hunching over to see these tiny pieces) later, the clip fot the touch screen flew off and busted. So I had to find replacement parts.

Anyway, I ventured onto the 'Bay to see if I couas I've been lucky finding fixer-upper systems for a good price. My then-unknown-if-working Wii U is still working great, my Vita that bled power works great after I removed the cell modem...why not go for a hat trick? In my findings I came across a "New" 3DS XL system that supposedly worked but had cosmetic damage (paint on top lid peeling, some dings here and there). The seller could not test, but I took a chance and won it for about 50ish dollars.

When it arrived, I charged it up overnight as it would not start with the power cord. The next day, the system came alive and worked beautifully. It even came with Minecraft loaded. I bought a skin to cover the scratches andca stylus and it's ready to go!

This was from about a month(?) ago at a Salvation Army, all for $10. I nearly passed thinking I had pretty much all these, plus a bunch are sports, but remembered something about Hercules being really good or worth something? For $10 I went ahead. Turns out I didn't have the ones on the right + Spyro Ripto's Rage (not pictured).

You might be thinking of Herc's Adventures, which is on the rare side and sells for like $75-$100 complete these days. But apparently the Disney game can pull in like $20+ itself, which is more than I would expect. Either way, that's still a great haul for only 10 bucks.

You are probably right. Easy to get wires crossed with stuff like that. Unfortunately, and I think you can even see it in the pic, the a/v port appears to be jacked up. Only get 1 channel of sound out of it, and no video.

I recently snagged up a little bundle of GBA joy from a local thrift store a few days ago for $10 (all loose):

-Blue GBA Advance with charger (with a goofy "Ratatouille" sticker on the top)
-Super Mario Advance
-Mario Golf
-super Mario Kart Grand Prix
-neat little zippy case that's not game related, but have no clue what it was originally intended for
and a bunch of kid games (Petz, The Incredibles, Over the Hedge, Cars, etc.) with a few sports (one of the Need for Speed games I think, two different years of Madden) to total 15 cartridges.

The GBA, sticker aside, is in immaculate shape for being a kid's system.

I swear I think Bira Bira wants me to continue to collect but with portable systems as that's about all I can get game time on these days.

Disney's Hercules is actually a good 2D platform game, it also came out on the PC. Maybe I mentioned it elsewhere on the forum years ago. At least you also found MediEvil as it's a somewhat expensive game, it alone should more than cover the cost you spent on everything. Even with a broken PS1 that's a really good deal and I would have bought the lot too. It's hard to find any PS1 games where I am anymore.

Stopped at a video store and came across some interesting titles:

Wii U

Kirby and the Rainbow Curse
NES Remix

3DS

Pokemon Sun
Pokemon Omega Ruby

The games are complete and the total (with my rental) was $31, so the games were maybe $6ish a piece. The PokeMon games are going to be gifts this Christmas.

Passed up an Xbox console at a thrift store. They wanted $10 and it only had the power cord. When I plugged it in, the fans turned on right away. The DVD drive wouldn't open (probably dry belt-I can fix that) but the auto power on concerned me.

Went to a yard sale this morning that said they had a lot of games for multiple systems, which they did, but they were mostly sports games or just stuff I wasn't interested in. I only ended up getting Kingdom Hearts 2 for PS2 and Tron 2.0 for pc.

This afternoon we went to 2 different game stores and all we got was Disney Infinity characters for the kids. It's gotten to the point where everything I would be interested in, I already have, never shows up in the wild, or is more than I'm willing to spend.

alright i found a thing
popped into a computer donation shop the next town over on a work trip and i check with them from time to time to see if any thing had been donated and this time they had

PSP 3000 (black, loose)
Final Fantasy Tactics (complete)
Every Extend Extra (complete)
Lumines (complete)

all for $10

Then i popped into the video rental store down the road that has a game shop in the corner and got

UN Squadron $20 (loose)
Clash at Demon Head $12 (loose)

retail prices but i also want this place to stick around and after 9 months with out any thing its ok

Then i hit a goodwill on the way out of town and found

PSP Charger $4
xbox - Sega GT / JSRF combo $2.50 (complete)

i get the feelin that psp charger at goodwill was the one that was supposed to go with the psp system at the first place
the psp works fine with it too, it has no battery but aside from that and a bit of dust/dirt it was well taken care of, no major wear, no scratches at all and no signs of being dropped

Another weekend, another hunt for non-childish Nintendo Wii games. I go to GameXchange stores because used titles $7.95 or less are buy one, get one free. And it looks like the majority of the Wii's library are around $3 to $5 there. But I'll drive really far out of my way to hit the stores because there's always one game at each store that none of the others seem to have. Pretty much most stores that sell used Wii games has a title that I've never come across elsewhere. This trip, those type of games were SpeedZone, Spray, Little King's Story, and Haunted House. I remember reading back in the day that Atari were attempting to reboot the classic 2600 game Haunted House for the Wii, I wasn't aware it ever came out until I found a copy this afternoon.

Altogether, the roster of games are...

Speed Zone
Spray
Alone in the Dark
Little King's Story
Overlord - Dark Legend
De Blob
The Calling
Haunted House
Zack & Wiki - Quest for Barbaros' Treasure

I haven't been able to satisfy my collector's instinct since it's virtually impossible to find any games in thrift stores and flea markets. Getting a Wii has really ignited that drive in me. It's been a few months since I bought my first functional Wii, and I probably have around 125 games for it. I'm getting to the end of the line for really grown-up games on the system, and will have to start delving more into the more kid-friendly, casual gamer titles. Luckily those are common as hell and are dirt cheap except for first-party titles. I have a fascination with crappy shovelware for the Wii... Ninjabread Man was garbage, but the company that put it out reskinned the levels, put new characters models in it, and put it out as three other games. Talk about balls. I might pick those up just for the horribleness.

By the way, if anybody in the Dallas area wants a Japanese Saturn console, go to the GameXchange in Mesquite. They've got one, right next to a US version, for $65 if I recall (same as the US console). And next to that is a toploading 3DO (don't remember the price on that one).

I went to the same video store see if they marked down any more games. They added stickers to some but of course not the ones I really want.

My daughter talked about not havingbRayman, Raving Rabbids at home, which I thought I left the cooy we had during the divorce and buying my own, but I guess not. So I picked up that title for $2 with the case but no instructions along with Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, also for $2. I'll give my daughter my Rabbids original copy and keep the rental.

They still have other titles I'm debating on, like Fortune Street and Batman: Bold and the Brave (or whater it's called). The former more for collectibility and the latter for my Batman-fan young step kids.

I'm debating

Went to another GameXchange location, and ended up buying an original Xbox. My old one died many years ago (killed by my nephew, who also killed my Xbox 360 - I stopped loaning my brother game consoles after that) and I really wanted to play some of those old games. Plus, a game that only came out on the Nuon, called FreeFall 3050 AD, was graphically upgraded and ported to the Xbox but was cancelled at the 95% complete mark. A guy who has previously programmed for the Xbox got the source code from the developer and finished the game and released it online. I really liked the Nuon game, so I'm going to have to figure out how to modify an Xbox, burn a DVD of the game, and play it.

I also stopped at a store called Freaks and Geeks in Denton, Texas and bought Fire Ball !! for the 3DO (it's a Japanese import pinball game) and an official version of Tetris for the Palm OS Handspring devices. I didn't know what it was at the time, thinking it was for a sort of educational handheld oddity that I bought in a thrift many years ago. Oh well, another oddity to add to the collection. Both games were $8 each.

It played catch-and-release today on an item. I kinds kick myself for doing it buuuuut....it's probably a good thing.

I went to the local St. Vincent De Paul thrift store and spied an N64 with power and hook ups for $20. I grabbed it and saw two controllers that were priced seperate. After much debating, I put the system back. However, I did keep the controllers, which need a little fixing on their sticks. And I picked up a couple items as I couldn't pass them up:

N64 Controllers (original, grey and red)-$3.50 each
NES Life Force(loose)- $2.99
NES Contra (loose)-$2.99

Cisco/Linksys EA6500- $35

I needed a good WiFi router as I will now have 7 kids actively using computers for virtual school and the DSL modem's wifi pipe is getting tight.

I went to a game store I wasn't aware existed before, and picked up a couple of Atari 400/800 cartridges, Demon Attack (damaged boxed with instructions) and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi: Death Star Battle (loose). Both $12.99 each. It's just so crazy rare for me to find any Atari home computer stuff nowadays. Well, past commons. Dallas has a bunch of stores called Movie Trading Company and recently I tend to come across lots of absolute dirt commons there in the past year. Never anything third-party though, mostly just BASIC and Centipede. I don't know why there's been so little Atari 8-bit stuff in this area, any time I've ever found Atari computer stuff it's outside the state.

Found the Pong Console at a yard sale on July 12th, paid $1.

Not Pictured:

Nintendo DS Lite, Crimson Red & Charger - Not Working - Free (Yard Sale Item)

A Game Boy Advance (missing the battery cover,) 3 Playstation 1 Controllers and a bunch of twine for $1 in the last week.

Found all the other pictured items (Playstation, N64, Gamecube, Controllers, Wires, Memory Cards + Rampage on PS1, Madden 06 on Gamecube, Mario Kart 64 and another N64 game I forgot) today but not all at the same yard sale. I found the Gamecube at one yard sale and paid $5. There was a cute, little nice dog at that sale. At another yard sale a few hours later, I paid another $5 for the N64 and Playstation. Funny thing is both lots were "$20 or make offer" and I got them for $10 total. Otherwise, many yard sales lately just had Playstation 2s or Xbox 360s either at market value or overpriced.

Father and I have been finding other items at yard sales that don't pertain to Video Games; Stainless Coffee Pots, for example. I also bought 2 Dazey Donut Makers from the 70s recently (not worth a lot) and made donuts at home. It doesn't sound like I look at donuts from a health standpoint but I do; I don't eat them much but if I want any, I want to know what I put in them.

I was searching for a few Wii games that don't end up in store shelves too often, and for some reason I came across loads of 3DO games. I want to know what's going on. After I bought my 3DO it was a pain to find any games for the console. I went to Game Master in Rowlett, TX today and they had a stack of copies of Return Fire. About 6 copies, and mixed with their other 3DO games. Went to a Movie Trading Company location and saw maybe 15 different titles. Where were all these games when I was searching all over for them, ready to feed my freshly acquired console?

Movie Trading Company was charging $550 for a caseless copy of Snatcher for the Sega CD. They like to put odd games with recognizable names into their glass cases and charge out the butt for them. Star Fox for the Atari 2600, loose, for $15. Or Donkey Kong for the 2600. One store had a Wii truck racing game for $60, the next location had it for $2.99. But $550? Screw them.

No idea. While seeking a Power Glove from 2003 - 2008 (when finds were much more abundant) I never found one. Come mid 2018, I found one while not looking and paid nearly nothing much to my surprise; all with no NES to test it with.

been dry out west, and since i haven't been finding any thing lately (even at yard sales) i picked this up to spend some time on:
10665

$400
1992 Mercedes 300ce Sportline
rather un common car
about 325,000 miles

it didnt run when i bought it but the next day i had it running, had a blown fuse on whats called an OVP relay
after i got it running i made a quick run down of what else it needs: water pump, power steering pump, has no reverse.
alot of stuff in it is serviceable, the power steerin pump for instance can be re built for about $20 and some time.
Reverse its acting differently than what the internet explains when reverse is out in these cars, i get the feeling its some broken spring/valves in the valve body, or it might just be stuck from sitting a while

I never came across Colecovisions in the wild until I went to a convention in 2008 where I picked up a Coleco homebrew, Spectar. After that I started finding loads of consoles in the wild. And none of them worked. My fifth machine was boxed and finally worked, and after finding a functional one I never came across another unit again. That Colecovision was dead within a year. Of course.

I bought a Power Glove at a flea market along with an Atari 7800 and some Atari 8-bit cartridges, $1 each. I didn't need an Atari 7800, but it was such a shock to me in finding one I just had to get it as a spare. After that I started finding loads of them. After the fourth or fifth one I decided to stop buying them, and they stopped showing up in the thrift stores I went to. It's funny how these kinds of things work in waves.

I've seen it happen multiple times. Would you believe it, I've bought a second Nintendo 64 just this month not even 10 days later? I've also seen 3 of the same rare guitar model show up on eBay simultaneously in 2010; this is a guitar that had a production of 300 (give or take) in the 70s. There really isn't a large demand for them, few even know about them and fewer want one. It's a Mosrite 350 Stereo Guitar.

As for my finds on the 14th and 15th (Saturday and Sunday: )

On the 14th (Saturday,) I went to a community yard sale on the side of a grocery store. I only bought a PS1 or PS2 extension cable there for 25 cents.

Later, I followed a yard sale sign to a trailer. Someone had 7 N64 games and a few PS1, PS2 and 360 controllers out along with common 360 and PS2 games I mostly passed on. I didn't pick all of this up on the same day and not everything was out until I asked if there was more than what I listed just above but I didn't want to complicate the list:

Genesis:

Model 2 System
1 RFA
1 Official Controller

Games:

The Adventures of Mighty Max (Complete but Manual's missing its cover)
Ecco the Dolphin (W Box)
Kid Chameleon (W Box but the game is a MEGADRIVE cart? Why?)
Mick and Mack Global Gladiators (Kinda complete but the box spine plastic's gone and the insert, which is tucked in the case, is messed up. The game doesn't work, yet at least, even after cleaning with QuikGlo. and Rubbing Alcohol.)
Landstalker (Complete but not working, yet at least, even after cleaning with QuikGlo and Rubbing Alcohol.)
Monopoly (in case without spine plastic)
Mortal Kombat II (Complete)
Ranger X (Complete)
Sonic 2 (W Box, Spine Plastic's damaged)
Sonic 3 (Complete)
Toxic Crusaders (Complete)

N64:

System & Power Adapter
1 Official Controller
1 Offbrand Controller
1 Memory Card (not working, apparently)

Games (All Loose: )

Diddy Kong Racing
Monopoly
Pokemon Snap
Pokemon Stadium
Rush 2: Extreme Racing
Super Mario 64
WCW vs NWO Revenge

Xbox 360:

Fallout 3 (With a junky case and scratched up)

Controllers:

PS1 Official
PS2 Official
PS2 Off Brand
Xbox 360 Wired, Gamestop Brand, Missing USB Stress Relief Cable
Xbox 360 Remote

I paid $23 total. Frankly, some of the Genesis games really weren't working right even after Rubbing Alcohol so I had to use QuikGlo in more of a liquid than a paste form to clean the contacts; that fixed Mighty Max, Monopoly and Ranger X. Global Gladiators and Landstalker aren't working yet. I'm not going to try working on them now.

Also, I apologize for the color tone in the photos. Next time, they'll be closer to reality.
