Hey everyone...
I'm looking for any open source Gameboy emulators written in C (not C++) if anyone knows of any... I don't want GBA, and I really have no use for Gameboy Color, although it seems like all the ones I see are GB/GBC emus. Does anyone know any good ones? So far, I've seen gest and gnuboy, both of which have GBC, and although gest seems to have better sound emulation, gnuboy seems more portable... Has anyone tried either of these emus, or know of any other open source ones? Does anyone have any suggestions of which would be more portable/compatible/better/non-GBC?
I'm sure you guys are wondering what I have planned for this... well, I've been thinking of this for a while, and every time I look at the similarities between the Virtual Boy and the Game Boy, I keep thinking that with a prebuilt GB emulation core, it wouldn't be THAT tough to port a GB emulator to the VB. But of course before I start on a big project like this, I'd like everyone's input on how these emus are, and if anyone knows of a better open source one.
Thanks,
DogP
