I know this is a weird request, but I recently have started playing poker with some buddies of mine, and I thought it would be a good idea to get a poker video game, so that I could practice on the video game and get a better feel for how to play poker.
So what is the all time best poker or casino game on a console?

Casino Games on the Sega Master System! Where else can you fold 10 times in a row to see a dinosaur run across the screen!
The Slot Machine provides a fairly authentic experience as well, and when you get bored of gambling, you can play Pinball!

ColecoVision's Ken Uston Blackjack/Poker has a good Blackjack game on it. You can double, hit, stand, try for a five-card-Charlie, split, or go for "insurance." 1 to 4 people can play.
Best of all, it actually comes programmed with Ken Uston's advice.
Intellivision also has a good Blackjack game.

Do any of the more modern systems have any good poker or casino games?
The farthest I go back to is NES. Well, I actually have a Atari 2600, but that is besides the point.
Basically, I'm looking for more of a more "state of the art" poker game. Did the Playstation have any poker/casino games? What about the Saturn or Dreamcast? I'm pretty sure that the XBOX and PS2 and Cube don't have any casino type games. It seems that casino type games have pretty much dissapeared.
I know of a game on the 3DO called "Cowboy Casino". It appears to be a goofy full motion video game based on playing Poker in the old west. I've thought about that one, but I don't think it's a very serious poker game.
Maybe I should look towards the PC. It seems like there are tons of casino type games on the PC.
There might be one that does a very good job of simulating real poker situations.

Huh, the ColecoVision, after Opcode programs and translates a few MSX games for it.

I quite enjoyed Vegas Stakes on the SNES. As for Playstation, there's Midnight in Vegas

This isn't on a console, but to me the best game is POKER LADIES which was playable in Mame.. (not sure if it still is... but if not, just use an older Mame).
I mean you just can't beat the scenes with the
TIT LICKING SNAKE!
SHINING FLASHLIGHT ON THE WETTING PANTIES
SYRINGE DRIPPING FLUID ONTO THE CROTCH
I mean.. how can you beat that?!?!?!? LOL

There was certainly a Casino game for the Dreamcast in the form of Hoyle Casino. It featured several games (although memory fails me as to which ones). It was a bit cheesy w/ the voice acting, but I'm assuming any casino game you pick up is going to have a certain cheese factor. I bought this thing a while back for $10 (when the DC was still kicking) but I was offered the Sega Smash Pack in a trade (when the Smash Pack was still bundle-exclusive) and had to hop on that! BTW, Hoyle Casino was a port of a PC game of the same name.
