I don't know if we ever did this, but does anybody here have games in their collection they'd be embarrassed to show people?

The reason I asked is that I finally decided to try out my copy of N'Sync: Get to the Show for Game Boy Color tonight. The game consists of simple mini-games that wouldn't tax the brain power of an N'Sync fan. Oddly, there's a decent Burgertime clone where you try to drop toppings and the letters that form the word N'Sync. It's worth it just to see Joey Fatone say, "Tight work!"

I hope you guys detected the rampant sarcasm in that last sentence...

Stunt Race FX for the Super Nintendo... I hate that game intensely. You play as cars with faces on the front of them. But, the FX graphics used make the framerate 1 frame every race (a little sarcasm)... You'll be driving along the track and all of a sudden a dolphin (or something like that) flies over your head. It gets really annoying, as this happens in every race (sometimes a plane, etc...). I just really hate this game, but if you are a person who must beat every game you know of, it'll only take about 20 minutes to beat the entire game. Its a bad name for a game "Stunt Race FX", as the Stunt mode is just going of jumps collecting yellow and pink diamonds. I'm so embarrassed about owning this game that I don't know why I even bothered posting this.

Stay away from this game if you have the chance, or even if you don't have the chance!!! :rockets: :2gunfire:

for myself, it would have to be Michael Jackson's Moonwalker for the genny.
But I gotta say, I freakin love this game, and on the Hard difficulty it's quite a challenge without being insanely unfair to tax my skills when I wish. Any game that has an accurate and actually usuable Difficulty adjuster gets bonus point in my book. I hate it when Easy is TOO easy, Normal is normal and Hard is so cheap that you can't do squat, like they do with most games, BUT that a horse of another color, backto the subject...
Yeah, as you may know, you play michael jackson and you go around finding kids who are doing their best to hide away from you... tsk tsk... and when you run out of magic you just grab at your nuts in frustration...
If I seen this game now a days I'd think somebody made it just to feed all the rumors and oddities surrounding his life, but the fact that HE made it himself? makes me wonder even more....

I will admit, in the 80's Michael had a cool voice, and a knack for writing hit songs, but.... he's just become a very very creepy odd human being...
but there's no denying this is a fun game... to me at least...

Alex Kidd

PS, anybody got a copy of this for the SMS they wanna part with? ;)

Oh man, I want this game...seriously...I love collecting cheesy games like this.

I know there is a Sesame Street Sports game I have to buy as well.

I just bought Backyard Baseball 2003 for my PC, best baseball game since Baseball Stars on the NES.

Something keeps pulling me towards the N'Sync game as well, but I've resisted so far (I wish it was a remake of Journey Escape though...)

I don't think I'm embarrassed about any of the games I own...I like Stunt Race FX a lot...

Pokemon Snap is my favorite N64 game...

I don't know, I'm not ashamed of any games I have.

Now, maybe next week when I go to get BMX XXX for the Gamecube (new $10 at EB) then I'll be ashamed of a game...

@ Richard Simmons Scary Town

OMG ROFL

Yes, every day I work I can go see somebody making fun of Richard Simmons. It's in an arcade game, too! WELL, it's actually three old Win95 PCs hooked up to a server, and it's got a laserdisc for a main TV. I call it an arcade game because I've seen the message "ATTRACT MODE" on it, rofl.

Anyhow, the questions are all trivia stuff about my favorite cereal company and such, and the Cook Dude gives you the answers in his funny theatrical way. For whatever reason the question (Nutrition Facts for the category) about "What's the most important breakfast of the day" is answered in the following way:

"Okay, here's a clue. You're standing in (sarcasm here) Cereal City, USA, all about Cereal blah blah blah.(/sarcasm)

Then it gets interesting. I forget the exact words but he says something about healthy food and then he finishes up the question saying something about "eating bon-bons on the couch all day might lead to a date with Richard Simmons."

ENTER

RICHARD SIMMONS INPERSONATION!

The origin of the robotic Richard Simmons:

Troy: [voiceover] A few years back, Bart was adopted by Mr. Burns. In this very special outtake, Homer attempts a reconciliation with his estranged son. Watch.
Homer: Bart, you're coming home.
Bart: I want to stay here with Mr. Burns.
Burns: I suggest you leave immediately.
Homer: Or what? You'll release the dogs, or the bees, or the dogs with bees in their mouths, and when they bark, they shoot bees at you? Well, go ahead. Do your worst.
Burns: "Do my worst", eh? Smithers, release the robotic Richard Simmons.
[a door open and said robot walks out]
Simmons: Come on, big boy! Shake that butter off those buns.
[a speaker pops out of its head and plays "Shake Your Booty"]
Homer: Aah! [runs away]
Simmons: Come on, come on, girls! Shake, shake, shake!
Burns: Smithers, it's out of control!
Smithers: I'll take him out, Sir!
[cocks shotgun, blasts it in the head]
[the hole closes up a la T2 and the dancing resumes]
Simmons: [slowing down] Shake, shake, shake! Shake, shake, shake! Shake, shake, shake...
Smithers: His ass is going to blow!
[they all run in the house]
[the robot explodes, its head landing far away]

Sadly, I don't own any games I'm embarrased to own. And actually, I get off on telling people all the weird games I own. Some reason it makes me feel good.

I don't have any Sesame Street games yet because they're way too expensive at GS. I had one years ago when I bought a DOA NES off eBay. I stupidly traded all the games in that I didn't want. I wish I had kept them. If I had known I'd be a collector 3 years later. We also used to have both Pokémon Snap and Pokémon Stadium. But we traded those too. Dammit!

The only game I have that was mentioned here is M.C.Kids. That game is actually GOOD. I feel any licensed game that is actually playable can't be bad. The Virgin and Capcom Disney games for the SNES and Genesis are some examples.

My dream is to have every game that makes normal people embarrased to own. Because I can't be embarrased by them.

At CGE 2K3 when I was working on my NGPC collection and I bought this one game at the Neo-Geo booth that was complete and kind of interesting-looking, but entirely in Japanese. A guy translated for me right before I bought it: "Melon-Chan's Growth Diary."

It's fun to tell people about that one, they just get that "WTF... wha...huh?" look on their face. If I could read Japanese, I could tell you more about it, but it seems like a sort of Tamagotchi game with a little girl (apparently named Melon-Chan) to raise.

I wonder if that beats rbudrick... or at least competes...

Super Mario Sunshine :embarrassed:

What's wrong with this great game..one of the reasons I bought a GameCube :D :)I just got that the other day. I'm still torn. But I'm not embarrassed. It's fun, but it's no Mario 64. But it is a big challenge. I can't believe how hard they made this game. If they had included a remake of Mario 64 with it, I'd probably be spending more time on that first.

But it's fun. Not sure if it was worth the $30 I spent. $20, yes. But damn you Nintendo.. I've bought it! Now you can lower the damn price! Just like you did with Viewtiful Joe the week after I bought THAT! :o

Heh, I've got that one - haven't tried playing it, yet. I think my SNES copy of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers will likely come first, even though my Genesis is hooked up right now LOL

I have no shame. o_O I am proud to share with others that I very happily own two Choaniki games (the Super Famicom figher and the PS2 shooter), and I fully intend to buy more whenever I can.

I also love dating sims (hentai or not). Now that I think about it, it's odd that my boyfriend's family is so accepting of the fact that I play dating sims (not the ones designed for girls, just the standard ones). They've never once questioned my sexuality or anything. O_o But then again, I only play Japanese dating sims, so for the most part, they have no clue what's going on in the game.

And of course, I have a whole slew of crap. Tons of cheesy NES games, lots of Sega CD FMV games, two different versions of Bram Stoker's Dracula, Home Alone, Shaq Fu, both Quest games (Quest 64 and Brian's Journey), Xena, War Gods, and that's just the beginning... O_O

That probably accounts for everything.

Say, got yerself a Night Trap? Just curious.

Myself, I'm not ashamed of anything I own - really the only game I'm mad to own is that blasted sealed Baloon Boy/Funny World Genesis cart. Buttasuperb gets the blame for that. Hey, anybody need one of those? Real cheap.

well I've got tons of the kids games across multiple systems. Sesame Street, Disney, Barney, Blues Clues and the like. Yes, they do pad my collection but I do have a 4 year old daughter who plays a lot of them. She particularly likes Grovers Counting Cafe on Genesis and Miss Spiders Tea Party for PS1. I can't say I'm embarrased to own them.

I do have Britneys Dance Beat but that was really for my wife along with DDR Max and a Dance matt.

I've got no excuses for purchasing these 3 though: NSYNC: get to the show, Marky Mark Make my Video and one of the Mary Kate & Ashley games for PS1.

I probably should be embarrassed by these but I'm not. The 4 Harry Potter games that came out for PS2, 2 on PS1 and one for Game Boy color. yup I'm a proud 36 year old Harry Potter fanboy.
