I just finished it this weekend and man was it fun. No fancy music, no fancy graphics, just a good story and fun gameplay.
Now it's on to Simpsons Hit and Run.

I'm stuck near the end where the guy with the bazooka is after me and I really, really suck. :(
AWESOME game though! I love how stuff falls all around you and you can view it from pretty much any angle, especially if you manage to get to safety and turn around to watch it all collapse....
Very nerve-wracking too. Not for people who are afraid of heights!

Is that the game where you have to live through a bunch of survival scenarious? I saw that at my local rental place and thought it looked intriguing. What system was that for, PS2?

I completely forgot about that game. I remember reading about it and was real excited about playing it. So thats one more game this week I had to buy. Thanks for reminding me about this game.

I snagged one for that price at the local Best Buy. I dunno if they have that deal up in Canada, but it's worth a look if there's a store near you(I'm unsure if they're in Canada).

Disaster Report is something like $65 used here. I haven't seen one for less than $55. It's insane. Damn Canada!

Anybody know what was changed from the Japanese version? I've seen the cover art, obviously, but I'm curious if any of the character designs, scenarios, etc have been screwed with. It's the only thing that's kept me from picking it up...

OK it took most of the afternoon but I beat the game (little upset on the low difficulty, hopefully when I rerun it on hard that it'll fix that up).
about finding it, I picked a sealed copy up off ebay for like 17 bucks.
I really enjoyed this game

hey just wondering if it would be worth it for me to pick it up, I found it previously viewed at a local blockbuster for 14.99 and it looks pretty good.

i've gotten 4 out of the 6 or so endings so far. there's a japanese sequel out there that i'd really like to play.
the bazooka/mercs segment is easy. the hardest part for me was the acrobatic leaping of firetrucks in the burning pit during the subway.

Oh yeah, I beat this one right after I bought it. That is rare for me too because most games I buy only keep me interested for a week or two before I shelf them permanently. Disaster Report kept me interested all the way till the end. Gotta go back and try to get some of those other endings though. I remember the one I originally got was pretty lame.
Didn't the U.K. get the sequel too?

I think the Jap one supported the Trance Vibrator, but I don't know firsthand.

I beat it on a rental. Got the "horribly depressing but romantic" ending. Didn't get time to play it over and try for the other endings.

I got it on ebay about a year ago for $11 brand new, but never got around to opening it. Maybe I'll give it a shot since this topic reminded me about it.

That's weird, I got mine from EB for $13 used after my edge discount. It's there new for $29.99 CDN too. Oh and on the original topic, no I haven't beaten it, I've played only like 15 or so minutes, I'll get back to it sometime.

You're kidding. :eek 2: Disaster Report is $7.99 used at my local EB Games. The reason I know this, I went to trade my copy in for something else, and was told the trade-in value was 99 cents. It's officially one of those "we have a zillion copies that we can't give away" games.
