WILL ALIEN SOLDIER (JAPANESE NTSC) WORK ON A GENESIS 3 (domestic)? I need to know. I am selling my VF2 machine soon and feel as though I should treat myself to something. I am going to pick up Alien Soldier for the Japanese MegaDrive. I was wondering if anyone knew for sure if it would run on a Genesis 3. THanks to all, you know I love ye!

Good question. Contra The Hard Corps doesn't work on a Nomad, so that one probably doesn't work on a Genesis 3 (I have both systems to test with, but I don't want to scare myself like I did when I took the Contra HC cart out). Anyways, the reason I mentioned that is 'cuz Alien Soldier's one of the later games for the system...I wouldn't be surprised if it's chip-locked.
Gens is no help, even when I choose USA for the region. It plays everything, and I know that just isn't the case. :/

Probably not due to the Genesis 3 being a USA region system and you'd be trying to run a JAP region cart. And since you can't override the lockout system unless ya want to cut up your Genesis, it's nigh impossible to get it to work.
