ARE YOU TIRED OF THE NINTENDO REMIXES YET?

No? Well I've heard more than a few and these are probably the only ones really worth listening to in my ever so humble o-pinio-nay.

Could be because everything else I've heard are mostly just straightforward translations of 8-bit tunes done in guitar and percussion.

You ever check out www.ocremix.org ? They're games of all systems, and THEY'RE GREAT! Each one goes through a long judging process. You should look into the judging forum... like 95% of everything entered doesn't get in and there was a 4-month backlog the last time I checked!

Heh. Which FF Remix? There are dozens of them! I really like some of the Space Harrier remixes myself.

I only wish I there weren't links to the forums on the main page. There's some freakish stuff going on in those forums. And methinks that the four-month judging backlog speaks more to the flaws in the judging process. (Not too long ago, you could expect to see a lot more new remixes a lot more often than you do now.)

I haven't gotten anything from OCRemix in quite some time, but I have to say I'm quite fond of the Zelda remixes there (except for that one rather obscene and stupid one...). Anyone remember the 10-minute Zelda 2000 remix that they had on New Year 2000? It was hosted by aniother site and OCRemix had the link to it for only a few weeks. I still have that on tape, although I lost the mp3 a long time ago. :(

And what about the Pac-Man rap song in Spanish? That's quite something! @_@

The Mega Man and Punch-Out tunes can't be beat. Everyone who hasn't been there should check them out. I also like the OC Remixes. :)
