Has anyone played it? I read reviews on IGN, but I want a real opinion from the board that I trust.

Is Wario World worth $20 bucks?

Yes. It's fairly short (8 hours or so) but it's fun fun fun all the way...

Wario World is not, in any which way or form, worth 20.00. I believe it may be worth 5.00, or maybe 10.00 on a very very boring day.

I got mine free (blockbuster gift cards) and I really really wish I got "King of Route 66" instead. THe game is like a side scroller, but a 3D side scroller where you can move up and down the screen, fight annoying repetitive enemies, play annoying "bash the blocks" minigames, collect a lot of unecessary junk, and otherwise seriously waste your time. This game should not have been made. Id rather have a 3D platformer! This is just so bad. I got past the first level anfd quit, put it on the shelf, and will never touch it again.

Put it this way...I spent more time with "Britney's Dance Beat" than I did this game.

I paid $40 for mine (used) and it was worth it. The game is short, but fun.

I love Wario World. Definitely worth 20 bucks. It's a good, simple, FUN platformer romp. Plus Wario's running commentary really doesn't get old.

I just got WW for the holidays and think it is a title worthy of your buck. So what if it only takes a few hours to beat? I find that while a little repetitive during combat it has high replay value. Plus it is developed by the Game gods that are Treasure although You won't find their developer stamp on the packaging or disc which is sad. Pick this title up!

ehhh. I got this game day of launch and its nothing special. Sort of slow and boring. Has some fun points though. Worth 20, no more

Wario World is worth the money if you like platformers. If you are not a big fan of the genre, it probably is not worth it. I rented it and beat it 100% in a day, easily, so that is something else to keep in mind. I do, however, want to buy it, even though I am done with it, which goes to show how much fun it is, sans some repetitive gameplay.

Hey Cmos, I'll gladly throw 20 bones your way for your copy of Wario World :D. My game-buying for the GCN these days knows no bounds (6 games in the past week alone).

Wario World may be short, but every part of it is great. It's not like some (or even MOST) games where the game is long but the length is totally superficial. I mean, like where you spend 20 hours with a game and 15 of those hours are mindless collecting. Wario World is just non-stop goodness. I loved it while it lasted and would gladly play it again. The fact that I'd love to play it again will make up for the quick play through.
