Hello All,
Being a long long time collector (but never a seller!), I've got two interesting bits of equipment and was just wondering about their rarity (not necesserily their value!).

One is a Saturn Dev kit model, i.e a Basic Saturn but with an extra unlabel cartridge and a RS232 port on the side. I don't have the PC software for this tho.

A dreamcast dev kit, looks like a mini "fat" tower but is a dreamcast in essence, connect to the PC via SCSI, I don't have the PC software for this either.

Rareity guess?, or even helps to find the PC software to development on them, please??

I know the DC dev kit is common in relation to dev kits. YOu see them occasionally on eBay, but not often. They're still rarer than most games/systems but you do see them here and there.

Saturn dev kit? cripes, never seen that before, and hell I wish I had one. I'd love to develop homebrew Saturn games :D

This saturn dev kit should be pretty rare. I never heard of it.

Hum okay £20 it is then, I get the funny feeling you might be lieing tho, as the Saturn Dev Kit came from the programmer of Trash It, I wonder how it programmed it without a dev kit? :-)

Didn't he have any software for it ? I'd hit him up for some software. :)
and then sell it on ebay for many many ££££££'s ;)

He did have for the DC Devkit and Saturn devkit, but when the company went bust he formated the PC to use for something else without backing up the software :-(

As everyone said, the Dreamcast Dev kit is much more common than kits for any other system. However, you'll really want to get one with the GDRom drive mounted in, and those aren't very common at all.

As for Saturn dev kits, I can only remember one, and I don't even remember what it was called. Quark maybe? It was black and blue, and sold for about $150.

Luckily for me the DC Dev Kit does have the GD Rom in it, and the saturn is a bog standard grey saturn (from the looks of it) except for the RS232 port on the side (which goes to a Pcb mounted in the saturn and then several wires to several other places), maybe its not an official saturn dev kit?
