My new Mario addiction

Its true. I am addicted to Mario and gang. I just can't stop loving him. I just got into getting Mario merchandise. I am going to make a whole wall in teh Video Game room mario stuff.

Is there Cereal in the box? I really could go for some right now. Damn.. they just don't make generic licensed character cereal like that anymore. Not-a-days, the cereal's REAL. WHAT THE FUCK? When did licensed characters get REAL cereal? Back in my day, cereal for TV shows and Movies was the same generic processed thing. The Nintendo Cereal, the Addams Family Cereal, they werre all the same thing. But it was good. Now we got Kellogg's making cereals for Disney and Scooby-Doo. WTF??

I remeber eating that Nintendo cereal back in the day.....it was really good. I wish they still made it.

I have an extra loose one because I just picked up a new in box one. You should really look into one as it would look great in your Mario collection. I can still remember getting this on Christmas back in 1989. Below is a link to the auction I won a few weeks prior. If you do go after one, make sure it comes with the hat. 80% of the ones I see up for sale don't have the hat. Make sure to get the bobblehead they have at gamestop if you haven't already. The gamestops near me have started to mark them down.

I was forutnate enough to have some of this cereal back in the day. Good stuff.

As for Mario merchandise, I had some stuff back in the day... I had a t-shirt with Mario (as he looked on the box for SMB2) and matching blue/white shorts with the same image. I also had a Mario pin and some of the Super Mario 3 Happy Meal toys. Of course, I grew out of the clothes and my mom gave them away. The Happy Meal toys and the pin got lost in my childhood.

Try to see if you can get any of those Mario stickers they used to give out at hospitals. I used to have one that says "Super Patient!" with Mario holding his thumb up. I have no clue where that went, but I probably stuck it somewhere a long time ago.

No, back then, all that Generic cereal had a distinct sweet taste. It was generic. Made by a lesser known cereal company. Not by a big shot company. Now-a-days, it's all Kelloggs and tastes like corn with maybe some marshmallows or chocolate. I've HAD that stuff. In other forms. But they don't make it like they did when it was Generic.

I guess you'd say today it's TOO good. And TOO much like all the others.

You aren't kiddin on the hat. I have that doll from when I was a kid, and I'd lose the hat for years at a time. Finally when I did find it, I put it up on a shelf away from the plumber, and now that Mario himself is on that shelf, he is once again proudly displaying his hat.

I should post some pics of my Mario plushie collection... that one that everyone is mentioning, I got hatless, but I really like the design of it. Don't know why, but it just seems like whoever made it did a really nice job (Unlike some of these other dolls I have).

Man, seeing that pic gives me second thoughts about selling that viewmaster that I accidentally bought on Ebay. I'd love to have a set of those slides. Great find man!!!!

BTW I agree with you guys on the cereal, it all tastes like CRAP nowadays. I haven't had a bowl of cereal in at least two years now.

I'll have to find some of those things, I don't have much. The vintage Space Invaders T Shirt I bought on Ebay never came, I have a couple of DK plushies and the coolest thing I have is probably ithe Mega Man 2 StoryBook/HintBook from its release days.
