What system would you like to see emulation pages for next?

http://www.digitpress.com/emulator.htm

I'm thinking NES but it seems like NES ROMS are the kiss of death to many sites. Thoughts?

trying to avoid nes all I can think of would be
Sega Genesis........
or maybe Atari Lynx?

Maybe it's just me but I agree with Atari Lynx. I've always found it harder to find quality Lynx stuff...

...but stay away from NES. that stuff is easy to find and at the same time could get you shut down fast.

With the GBA card reader, old NES games are making a comeback of sorts. That might make things risky from a ROM-hosting standpoint.

Yeah, I'd say stay away from NES, it's just too risky.

I'd love to see more TG16, maybe even some of the CD games. I know those eat up space like nobody's business, so maybe a game of the month or something.

Maybe more old computer stuff. I always loved my Atari 400 and Apple ][c back in the day. I know others did too.

The Atari Lynx is a great choice. There are many great titles for the system, and Handy seems to handle the emulation quite well. And you know the people from Atari and Epyx won't come after us :)

Lynx isn't a bad idea, but personally I'm not as into portable emulation as console emulation. Maybe that will change!

I like the TG 16 idea, but would definitely understand if they took up too much space on your servers. Mind you, unless you go the portable route larger files are on the horizon.

This somewhat relates: workspace icons. I'd like to see a place where I could download a console icon if I don't like the icon that comes with the emulator I'm using. z26 is a good example of that. I've tried finding stuff using search engines but haven't really come up with much (I have a nice black Atari logo, but since my wallpaper is black it doesn't show).

Hey JG! We've had TG16 on the emulation page for quite some time now! Check it out.

I'm thinking Genesis. We could tackle it one genre or theme at a time so that it builds. Just too immense to put out there all at once. As for the space, that's really not an issue - we own our own servers now =)

Icons... I've SEEN console icons before. I might have them on my PC or in an archive somewhere. I shall check.

If you're gonna start with Genesis, start with rare/unliscenced/foriegn games first, as those are often the most interesting. That would include games like the Super Mario pirate game, and that Brazillian Woody WoodPecker game.

Genesis would be a wise to me actually. First 16-bit console, many classic games, you could tackle all the roms for that quite easily.

My mistake. The reason I don't have any TG16 emulation is that I don't have the machine for it (I'm still using a P233 laptop that is about 7 years old now). Seems like you need more than 32K of RAM for that emu.

Genesis sounds cool. I think I have some of that stuff around already if you need help getting ROMs. My dad found that stuff though so I'm not sure if I still have the CD and what I have. Email me if you need something.
