The subject pretty much says it all. I can pick up the game for a reasonable price, but I won't do it unless I'm sure it would be worth my while. Please note that I'm not a fan of strategy RPGs, and that I probably wouldn't play it after I purchased it.

Worth maybe $20 in mint....not valuable. Great game...but you won't be making a killing on it!

Yup i agree with Maxlords. The copies that I see floating around tend to be priced about 20. It was hard to get a few years ago (at least for me), but since has re-emerged and isnt all that difficult, though not common. 20 is what most charge, and 20 is about what its worth. So if its cheaper than that, and complete then your not too bad off.

And I'll third that.

Great story, great gameplay, great music, jaw dropping cinematics (they rival PS2s!)

Definitely worth picking up for yourself to play. Other than that, not really :)

I sold a sealed one on eBay a month or two ago for $56. Not bad for something I originally bought on clearnance for $10 or so. :)

Well, the game SEEMS uncommon -- I paid about $30 to get my used copy from Amazon about two years ago. O_O

I'd love to know where you guys can get this game for that little.....

But I agree with the 'great' parts said about it. One of my all time favorite strategy tactics games, hands down. :D

Well, I've come across at least 4 or 5 a year for the last several years at that price. I always pass it up because it seems so common, and the times I have bought it and resold it, it never goes for more than about $20 in mint. That's what I'm basing my statement on. Factory sealed (especially lately) is a whole different ballgame of course.

I recently passed up one at Gamestop for 19. Ive probably seen 2 or 3 so far this year. Woulda grabbed it but I dont need it, and most of the harder to get games prices equal the eBay going rates for them (at least in GameStops where I tend to find them), making them useless to try and resell.
Yeah I can see that sealed one going for 57. Almost anything Square and sealed is a minature little mint for the PSOne now. Sealed FF VII go for 200+ (For Non-GH copies)

I wish I'd see it floating around once in awhile. It's one of the PSX games I still need. Oh well. It'll turn up eventually.

Wow, they actually go for a decent amount of money. Looks like it's time to get rid of mine! I got it back when it originally came out. I played it to completion, but I absolutely HATED it. I was just so bored. :) Seriously though, it's a strategy RPG with FOUR FREAKING MOVES (I can punch a guy, or use my shotgun, or machine gun, or rocket launcher, or...that's it). Pure monotonus pain. What were they tinking?

You played a 30 hour game to completion and hated every minute of it, eh?

Anyway, I would recommend FM3 and I'm certainly no fan of RPGs.

Hell yes. If I put down money for a game I'm going to play it no matter how bad it is, dammit! I still have terrible mental scars from my 30+ hour Legend of Legaia quest... *shudders*

I copped out of FF8 after 6 hours. Whatta piece of crap. Anyway, back on topic. I paid about $15 Canadian for my FM3 but never see it in the wild up here. I wish I still had it.

Again off topic. I just got my FM4 demo in the mail from Square.

I quit FF8 about 25 hours into it. I went through the whole shebang about getting Tonberry King and all that crap, then when you get to the point where you need to catch the girl as she's floating through space, I just gave up because I realized I didn't give a crap if she died or not. I just wanted the stupid thing to be done with.

I think I got mine for about $20 used. Last time I checked the Gamestop up the street had one, if anyone wants me to pick it up somewhat cheap.

Nooo...FF8-haters! :( I love FF8 so freakin much, I've easily spent many hundreds of hours playing it. I love the junctioning, the item refining, and the sweet, sweet games of Triple Triad. I just find the gameplay way more addicting than most other RPG's. Unfortunately I'm a very rare breed. Anyway, I don't want this to turn in to a debate on the quality of FF8, so I'll end this now.

Yeah, we've allready hashed out FF games in other topics, but anyone here who knows me knows I love FF 8 as well. :D

If you really CAN get FM3 for only $20, that's not a bad price. Many times if I'm curious about a game and can't rent it, I'll buy it used from Amazon and then re-sell it on there for very little money loss if I hate it.

JR

Eat a dick.

Seriously, if you're not gonna play the game, even just once, why fucking buy it? To make profits? Add another worthless game to your shelf, just for the hell of it? I don't get it.

Keep on keepin on, dumbfuck.

Don't mind if I do!

There, now you don't have to listen to him constantly try to convince himself and everyone else how cool and subversive he is. That schtick was a whole lot better when Seanbaby was doing it.

I'd appreciate it if you guys would not turn this into a fight.

I can understand asking the value of a PSOne game and then getting it, and not really devoting the time to play it :::looking at my 500+ PSOne games::: and in some cases getting the game simply to get. It isnt "common" and is averaging around 20-25 for a copy. Yes it can be dumb to get a game and not play it, but then again you could be a Square collector and this could be one of the games that you need.

ANYWAYS... back to the topic

Yea, I'm just trying to be cool. On a videogame message board. Where everyone, including myself, are mega nerds. Fucking dipshit.

Seanbaby isn't funny.

Butta, take a chill pill, please. Your posts over the past few weeks have gotten more and more hostile. If you need to take a break from the board, we'll understand.

That's right around where I quit too. To date it's the only FF I've actually gotten bored to death of (including FFX-2).
