Hi folks,
as you may or may not know, the DP home page attempts to keep up with current events. We really aren't a "news site" but significant events in and out of the classic realm are shown whenever possible. You can get a good idea of what we've done just by checking the archives - we've been running news items since the start of last year.
Trouble is, either people forget to click that "submit news" link or they don't know how useful it is to us when they do.
It IS useful. Though we screen them and don't use EVERY item, I can say that over the last two years we've used 80% of the news submitted through that link. Over the last few weeks I haven't seen much come in, so it seems high time to point this feature out once again. People who submit a significant number of news items over a period of time will be rewarded, but even doing this once in awhile when you think of it is a great way to support this site and more importantly, your gaming community.
Here endeth the plea.
