Before posing this question I want admit (though most already know) that I am part of the small team that runs Nintari.net. I think it's only fair that people know that before hand.

Ok, here's the question I have to ask:

What sites do you like better for game trading and why?

Some possible trading sites are:
- IGN
- GameTZ
- Nintari.net
- Fatman Games
- Ebay (for buying and selling, not used for trading though)

...and of course there are many others...

Cheers,
Max

I like your best even though i havent traded on it yet, but i think it is set up sincer than any of the other ones. its really easy to find games and its easy to see what people have that you want and what you have that other people want.

This is the only site that I trade on. If there are no takers here for the stuff in my trade box then I dump it on eBay.

that vs that vs this vs that...

ebay is just going to always have more stuff available, theres just always going to be more stuff there at any given time, I mean so many more people know of it and how to use it than some site somewhere made specifically for game trading. this is of course, just my opinion.

I like Gametz alot. I have been trading there for over 4 years. I like the fact it keeps records of your trades and the people you have traded with. Its easy to enter games into your want or available list. It has a matching system for find trades. I have traded for alot of hard to find games and made some great friends there.
I also enjoy trading here at DP. Its low key. Just post what you want or what you have for sale in the buy n sell forums. I also find the Nes/Snes/Genesis games are more popular here than at other sites.
I also traded at Switchhouse back in the day :embarrassed: Glad to see that site died. I hated selling a game there and having them take a % of your sale for site "fees"

Yeah, I like GameTZ's set up as well. Nintari.net has most of those same features. I think that the database is better on Nintari.net, but the forums are neat on GameTZ.

As far as collection tracking, matches, trade history, they both have similar stuff. GameTZ has a much bigger user base at this point though.

Some people have mentioned that they like the way IGN gives an estimate of your collection value. I don't personally think it doesn't enough to make up for other shortcomings.

I think the idea of nintari is AWSOME. but it is still kinda new. There are a TON of games missing from the database. I dont think that users should be alowed to add to the database. This just allows inconsistant data to be in the databse. I think it would be a lot more useful if the databse were scrapped and redone with a site-controlled one. If this happened and it was accurate and complete it would be the best game trading site on the net by far.

I really like GameTZ allot. I've been trading there for 4 years and have almost 80 trades under my belt. Scored some pretty amazing deals there too. I was kind of pissed when they became a subscription site, but it the long-run it was good because it cleared out allot of the riff-raff and dramatically decreased the number of stupid trade offers I used to get : "hey, u want 2 trade your Hot Slots 4 my loose 3DO Madden disc???" ( yes, I really had an offer like that once x_x )

Digital Press is of course great to do trades on too. The people here are friendly, have great stuff to trade, and you hardly ever have to worry about getting ripped-off.

You'll be REALLY happy to know that we'll be adding a feature to our online database that allows everyone to create personalized "for trade" and "wanted" lists. I can't say exactly when that will be done because it hinges on a few other projects completing first, but it is certainly in the cards.
