I recently picked up a package of 40 replacement cases at Wal-Mart. I had to look around a bit to find them...I found the regular ones like you see games included in...they also had the ultra-slim ones but I don't think those can fit instruction booklets in. I'd like to find some of the double-disc replacements, though...I accidentally stepped on and cracked my case for Metal Gear Solid...

OR, if you still need them, PM me. I have a ton, and I'd sell them super-cheap.

Griking do you have a uk link for those double cases since alot of mine for psone(since i bought the games preowned) are in bad shape. A 5 pack is fine.

As for all those single jewel cases there are two options

1.If you live in teh Uk go to poundland they usally have some

2. Buy one of those soft wallet thingys again availible from Poundland

 Seems everything is at pound just gotta wait for em to sell console games

Kmart as well. I am planning on trying to replace all the cases (That are really bad or covered in non-removable stickers from EB) for my PSX and DC games that aren't special. Like ones that have multiple discs or are special looking.

theres an AIDs action thrift near me that was giving away copies of elton johns "englands rose (candle in the wind)". i used to grab 2 or 3 every time i went there. maybe i was dissing princess di but it sure felt good destroying all that elton while i re-cased my games. jewel boxes suck, how can they charge somuch for a CD and package it in that brittle crap?

Hey! Elton John rocks. Though, I do like the original Candle in the Wind better than the more often played 1997 version.

The last box I bought (40 cases) were the clear ones...they're actually made by Maxell so maybe they aren't the cheapest ones available...

I've seen them at Dollar Tree, in 3-packs. The part of the case that holds the disc is black instead of clear, though, but if you just need to replace another part of the case, that shouldn't be an issue.

Anyone know a good source for different colors / slimcases?

I get a lot of the 5 color slims from walmart, ect for backups but I've had trouble findind any other colors. I'd like to get some colorcode system going for various formats but with only 5 colors and tons of different formats...it doesn't work so well. I'd really like to find some opaque orange-back clear front ones, but that's unlikely. I have seen clear orange, teal, darker greys, ect before but never in bulk, just with loose disc games inside at resellers.

Unfortunately I can't help you in the UK. I know that Staples carried them because I work for Staples, not because I went looking for them or anything.

Has anyone ever seen empty longbox jewel cases for sale anywhere? I looked at several stores, offline and on, and couldn't find any anywhere. I guess they're not made anymore at all.

I prefer jewel cases to the slim ones myself. But yeah, head to Staples, K-Mart and even Best Buy for replacement cases.

I got my cases at Wal-Mart, same as Rogmeister. They are completely clear just like the originals. I bought the 40 pack, but they also had a 10 pack. I think I only paid $14.99 for mine.

Best deal I've found is Sam's Club - 100 for about 10.99 (slimlines).

sorry to say it dude, but you are about a month too late. one of my friends was moving and through out at least 150 extra jewel cases. i got 5-10 for myself from it, but he didn't feel like keeping that many when he moved, so he tossed all those jewels

Just for general information: The front and back clear sections of a PS1 double case are the same as the back piece of a clear single case. As long as your black middle section is good, all you need is one or two spare clear single cases to replace cracked front and/or back.

The only special part of a PS1 double case is the "no cd mount" insert piece with the playstation logo on it.

I got a box of jewel they were throwing away from work the other day with several hundred standard black/clear ones, and a few double ones that take up one slot. Great for free!
