I just got this thing in a trade recently. It's a file save transfer device for the PS2 (kind of like a Dex Drive). Unfortunately, it didn't come with the box or instructions so I have no idea how to use it. I've got a PC disc, PS2 disc, and a strange double-ended USB cable for it. I've looked all over the net for a manual or instructions but couldn't find anything. Can anyone help?

Use the PC disk to install the software on your PC. Then put the PS2 disk in the the PS2 and LEAVE IT IN. (Very important-dohhh!). Connect the PS2 and PC with the USB cable. Start the software on your PC and you are off and running.

Thanks for the help Spartacus. So I have to have my PS2 powered up and next to my computer in order for it to work? Do I need a monitor for the PS2 or does it just have to be plugged in and connected to the computer?

I don't believe it's necessary to have the PS2 connected to a monitor. It just needs to be on and the CD loaded. The USB cable they give is rather short. I bought a USB 'repeater cable' for mine. It boosts the USB signal for long distances. My PC is 25' feet away from the PS2. It works perfectly, but truthfully, the newer version that's a simple USB memory key you walk from one to the other is the way it should be.
