I dont know if its exactly "difficulties"; but i paid him 115 US for a sega nomad, shining force 1 and 2, plus Pirates gold for genesis (thats 3 days ago...August 22th..) And the moment i paid he stopped responding my messages on vbender and here in digitpress...

I´d just like to know if hes already sent my stuff, or if hes busy or whatever....

Today I filed a Paypal Claim against Dave Reinquest. Its been 10 days sicne I paid him for my nomad and games and he hasnt responded to my emails. No proof of sending has been provided either.

Last sunday (august 29th, 7 days after i´d paid him) i found him on #vbender. he said he had sent my stuff but didnt remember the day. and he even mentioend that he included an extra game! I asked him for proof and he didnt answer and just disconencted.

Yesterday (August 31st) he talked to a friend of mine about my stuff and said he HADNT shipped it yet...so basically he BLATANTLY lied to my on sunday when he said he´d sent it.....

Dave Reinquest promised he´d send it today and send the tracking number by 5 PM. The deadline has passed and i have no tracking number yet....so i filed the complaint.

Im not trying to start a bashing-thread. Im just letting people know about my experience with this person. I hope he sends my stuff...

ANy ideas on what else I can do to get my $115 US back?

I got a reply today from a woman with the last name "Lothridge". It could be James Lothridge´s wife, sister or some kind of relative. She sent me a scanned receipt from ups.com with a tracking number. The tracking number doesnt work though...i will wait until monday and try it again...

P.s. Oh she also said that im getting special treatment because James usually ships stuff from 3 to 6 weeks after payment is done. LOL. I replied and said that i was NEVER warned about that (and i keep all conversation logs)...otherwise i would´ve never bought from him.

I would recommend leaving the PayPal claim active until you actually receive the package. If you cancel the PayPal claim and you end up with an empty box you will have lost your PayPal protection.

The tracking number works. The scheduled delivery date from UPS is september 13th.

But following the advice from Darth Vader (who´s the moderator here), Kamino, and other friends here on DP, I wont drop the claim until the items arrive.

I dont want to drop the paypal claim and then find that Dave Reinquest sent me a box full of bricks or something like that.

Should paypal give me a refund before the package arrives, i can assure everyone that I will return Dave Reinquest all his money, up to the last cent.

He didnt send me Pirates! gold (the most expensive game of the lot). He also didnt send the nomad AC adapter

The nomad is a non-working piece of junk: the brightness button doesnt work, the ac port is loose, it doesnt work.

I now understand why James Lothridge was SO desperate insisting for me to cancel the paypal claim. I will email him tonight and tell him i want my money back, and i will return all this JUNK to him.
