Yep, came in the mail today direct from Nintendo. Not bad at all, I enjoyed it. Of course I was expecting an actual case. It's a good thing those discs are mini, otherwise a full sized dvd would've been snapped in half during shipping.
Anyone else get it today?

I didn't get mine today, hopefully tomorrow.

What all is on the disc?

I should get mine soon then too. What do you mean that it wasn't in an actual case? Was it in a small paper sleeve like Pacman Vs.?

It was just the disc in a small clear plastic envelope. It came with the 'safety precautions booklet' and those secret confidential things about how to play the NES Metroid on Metroid Prime 1.

As far as what's on the disc.
You get the Metroid Prime 2 demo(not sure how long it is yet)
A preview(which kind of tells about the events leading up to MP2)
An art gallery,
'The Metroid Chronicle'(which has videos and descriptions of all the previous Metroid titles)
A trailer(just short clips set to cool music)

Like I said, it's pretty cool. The game should be a ton of fun.

And I just finished it. Pretty damn short, but very fun. The light and dark worlds thing is very new to Metroid, but it does kick ass. You can be sure I'll be picking it up when it comes out.

I think I'm gonna buy the Metroid Gamecube bundle once I get the money.

Got mine today also...didn't get a chance to play it yet. I was also hoping for a case, but at least they gave us a manual (sort of). I put it in a reg cube case and am going to try and make a full cover for it. Maybe I'll throw something together tomorrow after I actually play it.

Where did you get the demo from?

Where did you get the demo from?

You can register a cube with certain games at Nintendo.com, order a year subscription to Nintendo Power, or buy the new Metroid Prime cube bundle.

I got around to playing it today and I like it. It seems like it'll be just as good as the first, but with a little more challenge cause of the dark/light stuff. The thing I really like is how when you go to scan things, the items in blue are ones that haven't been scanned yet, and the ones in green are. It'll really make it alot easier to keep track and not miss things like in the first one.

I played around with it today, as I finally got mine. It is definitely cool, they could do some seriously sweet cinematic moments in the dark zone. Too short if you ask me, but that's a good thing-just makes me want to play it more.

Oh cool, thanks Drexel. Id love a MP2 demo over here in England. When I subscribed to Nintendo Official Magazine (our Nintendo Power) I got a red mario t-shirt and a zelda soundtrack CD. Thats pretty good but id love a MP2 demo. A pic would be much appreciated. Maybe i'll see if anyone has one for FS/FT in buying and selling forum.. Anyway, thanks again.. :)

I got mine today and was also shocked.

I got the padded envelope, saw the name "Nintendo" and said, "WTF? This can't be the Metroid Disc, so what the hell is it?"

It was the Metroid disc. What a gyp.

I'll try it later. Maybe I can actually get into Metroid if I have as much time as I want to play. Maybe not.

I got mine today too, and although I was shocked by the packagin, I guess it's just a marketing ploy to get me to order a case from their store. Oh well, I need like 10 anyways to replace lotsa of old EB stickered cases.

I got mine yesterday and loved the demo. I'll definitely buy this when it hits stores. Anyone know if these guys (retro studios) have made any other games? I hadn't heard of them before metroid prime. I was also expecting (and hoping for) a case... oh well.

This terrifies me. I live in an apartment. I've only been here a month, but so far the postman has flagarantly disregarded all packaging pleas to "not bend".

Unless your mailbox is teeny tiny, it'll fit. The disc is 3 inches, the envelope is like 5 or 6. 5 if you don't count the edge. 5 inches of bubblewrapping. And unless the mailman purposely grabs the middle of the disc and folds it. I dunno.

Kill your mailman if you have to. @_@

Does anybody know of any fan-made box inserts for this bonus disk? I put the "manual" and the disk in a Gamecube case, and I would like to add a cover.

Go to the official Nintendo website and register a Gamecube and 5 games, then find the page where you "request" one, and hit the button. You have to sign up for their "My Nintendo" thing first, its free.

To get codes for the games, you COULD go to, say, a Gamestop and look in the boxes of the games that have them:

Pokémon Colosseum
WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles
Mario Party 5
Classic NES Series: Bomberman
Classic NES Series: Excitebike
Classic NES Series: Ice Climber
Classic NES Series: Super Mario Bros.
Classic NES Series: The Legend of Zelda
Classic NES Series: Xevious
Classic NES Series: Donkey Kong
Classic NES Series: Pac-Man
Custom Robo
Legend of Zelda, The: Four Swords Adventures
Mario Golf: Advance Tour
Metroid: Zero Mission
GBA Video: Pokémon - For Ho-Oh the Bells Toll!
GBA Video: Pokémon - Johto Photo Finish
Mario vs. Donkey Kong
Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Games
1080 Avalanche
Mario and Luigi
Mario Kart

And probably some others too.

I was thinking about making one myself, but I'm having a hard time finding a good pic of the MP2 logo and screen shots in general.
