I just got back from the mall and they have a really nice condition Simpsons game from 1991. It's a 4 player beat em up , which I'm sure most of you have played before. Anyways , I have never bought a full size arcade cabinet before , and I am looking into buying this game , because it was one of my favorites as a kid , and because it never came out on any console(to my knowledge). How much do you think this thing is worth? I was thinking around 500-600 bucks , which is the most I would pay for one. Please give me some advice. Thanks alot

That probably a good rough price range. That game is always expensive, since it was a popular game and because the Simpsons are still popular. Plus, any four player game will be higher than a two player.

Simpsons is a JAMMA+ PCB so there shouldn't be any weird surprises inside. Any problems with power supply, joysticks, buttons and/or monitor can be easily and pretty inexpensively fixed.

Obviously, the higher the price the better shape the game should be in. For $500+, the cabinet may have some rough spots, but all the electronics and everything should work properly. While buttons and joysticks are cheap to replace, a new monitor could cost a couple hundred dollars.

like flack said....if your gonna pay 5-600 for the game...the cab better be pretty decent and the monitor better work......i would said that is about a fair price though, because, like he said, 4 player games are gonna cost more than a 2 player cab....plus, it would be a nice cab to own

i also recommend looking for a Neo Geo MVS cab....you can get into arcade cabinets with this, and not be stuck only having one dedicated game to play

I wish I could afford a cab with Simpsons arcade game. :(

However, maybe one day when I have a job and some extra cash, I might just build a MAME machine since it's supposedly cheaper.

If I had to guess, I would say 500 to 600 wholesale probably $800 to $900 retail.

Not entirely too sure on that.

I priced one out and it ends up costing me around $1k to build one.

Just depends on how many parts you have lying around the house.
