There isn't enough free time to finish all the games we want to finish so you should feel proud when you've managed to get through one, even if it's considered a "short game".

So what was the LAST game you finished? I mean, played through some kind of career, season or story mode from beginning to end - not necessarily completing 100% of the game's objectives but still seeing start to ending credits and most of what the game has to offer.

And if you finish another game tomorrow or next week or next month... come back and tell us about that one too.

I finished The Suffering for Xbox earlier in the week. It's not a long game, took about ten hours in normal mode. Fun fact: when you beat the game, you're treated to a "director's cut" prequel level to start your next game - it's a scene that they originally intended to use but it wasn't as exciting as the opening death row/prison stage used in the original version of the game.

Who's next?

I've finished Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance on the GBA. It's not that long a game anyway and it's pretty linear (once you finish it, you could almost play it again with your eyes closed), but since that's the only hack-and-slash game I have for the GBA, that's the reason why I continue playing it, even after finishing it...

My only real qualm about the game is that its ending supposes that DA II was to be ported to the GBA, which wasn't the case. Therefore, in order to see the end of the story, I now have to get DA II for the PS2...

I just finished System Shock 2, which took a little more than 20 hours. I'm still in awe of how good it was. Definitely one of my favorite FPS ever, up around the Half-Life level.

I've been on a FPS beating kick recently. I've plowed through Halo, Red Faction I and II, Return to Castle Wolfenstein and System Shock 2 in that order in the last month or so, and am working on XIII. I've tried to beat Turok Evolution a couple times during this period, but it's pretty bad and I haven't been able to finish it.

Finished Silent Hill3 today, Onimusha 2 last week, Onimusha 1 next week (don't ask)

My biggest thing is NOT finishing a game. In the past couple years, I can name off all the games I've played and HAVEN'T finished....

Ikaruga - Can't beat level 5, hate going through all four levels just to practice level 4 boss and level 5.

Mario superstar saga - Didn't like this game, stopped playing it. Overrated as hell.

Golden Sun 2 - Too many GD random encounters solving long drawn out HORRIBLY LONG puzzles. And yes, I beat the first one.

Fatal Frame - This one pissed me off, because I REALLY WANTED to beat it. Some invisible ghost in the aquarium room couldn't be beat, alas.

GTA 3 and Vice City - Awesome games, but by the time I get near the end, I get bored of it. Need to spend less time wandering around killing people and more time doing missions I guess.

I think that's about all of them...

I hardly ever finish games because I'm such a bad gamer, but I did play through Crimson Skies about two weeks ago and just beat the platinum cup of Re-Volt on DC today, still missing a bunch of extra cars though :(

Pikmin 2, after repaying the debt. I enjoyed a mojority of the, although some of the enemies and caves (I'm talking to you, Water Wraith) were not very fun. I am going to continue to play this until I find all of the treasures :D

Well, yesterday I beat Super Mario Bros. for the umpteenth MILLION time.

But if that doesn't count, I beat Painkiller a week or so ago, I'm working on Doom 3 and Final Fantasy X-2 now.

System Shock 2 multiplayer coop mode is just as good - if not better - than the single player. EdOscuro, SoulBlazer and I have been going through it, and it's good times. We tried to get that basketball through the hoop for at least a half hour, hahaha!

We have to finish our adventure soon - we're almost done.

But anyways, back on topic - last game I finished was the Transformers for PS2 on Veteran mode. Going through it again on Commander and am writing an FAQ for the most difficult level of the game. It's a challenge, and it's awesome!

EDIT: Just remembered: I've beaten Metal Gear Solid 2 on Very Easy mode.

I don't finish games that often, and for three reasons:

1. not enough time
2. too many games
3. I'm not very good at games overalll

The last game I finshed was Astro Boy: Omega factor for gba on easy. I loved every minute of it.

Finished last weekend, got it last Christmas but didn't even open until about a month or so ago. Great game, about 20 hours of play, although I don't think I found most of the little secrets.

Yes! I did keep my save. I think I'll give it another try in a few months to see what it's like on hard. I heard something about being able to switch costumes on Alyssa in the beginning after you beat the game but I couldn't find them. Do you know to get them?

I believe it was either Mario Sunshine or Pikmin. Can't remember which was last. (Guess I could search for the corresponding threads for each and check the date. Too much work.)

I beat Shenmue for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Now I'm working my way through Lunar SSSC with a little SMB Lost Levels sprinkled in (when trying to beat the game without warp zones, that game is HARD). Like many here, I have an overwhelming backlog of games waiting in the wings.

I usually dont beat that many games for different reasons...But in the last month or so ive beaten....Socket (Genesis), The Little Mermaid (NES) and Super Mario World (SNES)...My two college roomates laughed at me for never beating Super Mario World before...and they laughed at me for beating the Little Mermaid.

The last game that I beat was Shenmue about 2 weeks ago. Zelda Wind Waker before that and Metal Gear Solid : Twin Snakes before that (two times in a row, I seem to NEED to do that with Metal Gear games).

I'm working on Pikmin (1) right now. But I'm also playing Shenmue II on Xbox - and I badly want to beat FF7 again before Advent Children comes out as well as the new FFVII Vincent game which was announced this week (it takes place AFTER advent children and seems to be styled like Devil May Cry...)

Add Fable (Xbox) to my list. The game could be finished in under 12 hours, I'd say. With some exploration I did it in just under 18. I'm playing it through a second time now to get the stuff I missed the first time.
