Good Finds guys..

No Flea today ..rained out......though I bet there is a few vendors who showed up.

It was pouring this morning..
I just called the flea market and someone answered and said.
We have a few vendors here..

.........
I'm looking for something specific I passed up last time, but I doubt that vendor will have went there today.
I'm not going there today but I have someone who's going by that way who's going to take a peak for me.

I'm glad the market was ..rainded out today..Sometimes you you need a break from them, atleast I do.

I posted this in the other thread. I'll just repost it here.

I just did some work at my parents' video store. I took $10 out of my pay and got

NES:
Track & Field II-loose
Duck Hunt-loose

Sega Master System:
Great Baseball-complete
Reggie Jackson Baseball-box, no manual

Strange thing really. As far as I know, I've never seen a real life SMS game/cart with my own two eyes
I guess they never really caught on here in NY. So, when I saw them, I decided I needed to get them.

I got a Sege Genesis model 2 with a model 2 Sega cd and 2 games for $18 at the flea market. Then I went to the post office and picked up the model 1 Sega Genesis with the model 1 Sega cd and a couple games that I had won off of ebay a week or so ago. When I got home I hooked them both up and neither of them work. I am now a very PO'ed Sega cd-less video gamer :( Oh, and I got curse of Monkey Island or some such game for the PC for $2, big consolation prize eh

i had the same problem last week... if all you get is a black screeen, the fuse is gone!

look at this on how to repair it.. worked a treat for me!
http://www.mrvfone.com.au/sega/fuse.htm

a quick rundown of it...

http://www.mrvfone.com.au/sega/fuse.jpg
this is the fuse, cut the wire, n short the fuse, or replace the fuse and it should work...

I'm in Virginia Beach near the ampitheater. Been in the Virginia area for 10 years and collecting the whole time. Started out in Norfolk when I worked at NAB but when the apartment was overflowing and I transferred to Little Creek I bought a house near Dam Neck & Holland Rd. I have a business trip starting tomorrow and will be back around the 1st of the month. Would be cool to get the VA collectors together. Quite a few posting on the board since the beginning of the year but seems a lot of them have fell out.

Thanks Cauterize. I'll give it a try on the model 2. I'm hoping the seller will give me a refund for the model 1. The systems act like they are getting no power at all during start up. Also, I cleaned the board on the side of the Genesis where it connects to the Sega cd. On both systems the board was completely black. Anyways, I don't want to get to far off subject here so thanks for the info!

Walked into my normal game store today and the manager asked me if I did anything with TI 99/4A stuff. Told him I didn't have one yet, but I could get a hold of one. Brought me a box of carts. Not all are games, but still interesting.

Also came with a stack of manuals (21 total) and 2 sets of 2 joysticks.

Free!!! X_x X_x :D :D

I also bought a copy of columns for the game gear, just so I could test my new system.

I think my next find tops that one though... I found out about an upright Star Wars arcade (the original) from a friend of mine. Went and looked at it and it's the nicest one I've seen in a long time. Not mint, but not torn up like they usually are. It was just beeping on bootup, usually indicitive of a problem. Went ahead and bought it because it was complete and very nice (nicer than the 2 others I own right now). Got it home and opened it up. Realized the test mode switch was on. Flipped that and the game board booted. The monitor is out, but it played blind and I already have a rebuilt Amplifone to put in it. Twenty minutes from now, I'll be playing Star Wars!!!

All for the low low price of $450. Once I sell my 2 projects off, I'll be at least even if not ahead!

Been a heck of a weekend so far for me. I hope tomorrow can top today and yesterday!

Went to Goodwill:

Atari 400 w/o power supply-$4.54
Tomy Pocket Arcade "Attack in Space" Wind up game-$0.76 (Not a video game, but neat.)

Not bad considering this is the first time in a good while I've seen any video game stuff at a Goodwill besides common NES and Genesis sports games.

I live in south wales cauterize. I picked the apple up from a regular boot at fairwater secondary school in Cwmbran. The rest i grabbed from Caerleon (Near Newport) and Madeley (Near Hereford). Must have done about 100 miles or more today. Most of the boots in my local area were rubbish. The boot sales have been good to me lately. I grabbed a boxed secret of Mana last week for a fiver :)

well, garage sales were rained out yesterday, and decided I'd go to some today. I actually ended up sleeping in late, and I didn't get to leave until about 12:15.

I didn't expect to find anything, but I did quite good.

NES system w/ 2 controllers, zapper, all cords, and a max action controller, and these games:

Zelda (Gold)
Adventures in the Magic Kingdom
Mega man 3
Total Recall
tetris
Milon's Secret Castle
Double Dribble
10-yard fight
Mario/duck hunt

for a total of $15. All this was very dirty though, and required quite the cleaning.

and then I found:

NES system w/ 2 contollers and all cords, with these games:

Super mario bros.
Ice Climber
Zelda (gold) w/ box

For $5. Dusty, but otherwise nice.

and finally,

N64
Fighter's destiny
Jet force gemini

$5 for the two.

Not bad, once I cleaned everything up. I really gotta get id of some of these extra NES systems. I have far too many lying around.

- Super Slam Dunk
- ACTRAISER!!!

$4 for the whole thing, and everything was official Nintendo stuff. HALLERUJAH! $15 worth of games for $4. Then I blew most of the difference on some ancient ('10s-'40's) textbooks and other fun stuff. Yay

I went to EB Games Sunday to check out that buy 2 get 1 free sale, and was very surprised to find some boxed NES carts. Picked up:

Solstice (box, no manual)
Remote Control (boxed)
Yoshi (boxed)
Burai Fighter (boxed)
SNES Q*bert 3 (loose)
Some other common game that I can't remember (it was free!)

I got all this for $12 total. :)

As for the question about Battlefront, I'm a game reviewer for a newspaper.

As for the question about Chesapeake Square Mall FYE, I quit there yesterday. After I told them to suck it, I walked out.

I don't often post my finds in these threads, but I wanted to share a funny Gamestop story.

I've been looking for Thunderforce V (Playstation) for a long time now and never seen one. Friday I go to Gamestop and they have it. Yay! Open it up and inside is Air Combat. Crap! For the first time ever I searched through all the loose discs hoping to find it, but to no avail (I even checked the Air Combat box, but it had the right disc in it). So I put it back and went to the other Gamestop across the street (weird, huh?). By some bizarre stroke of luck they had it too! With the right disc this time! With the 10% discount from my card plus a 10% coupon I got it for only $6.80.

Also picked up Star Ocean: Second Story (which I am loving, but I still need the manual) and Beyond the Beyond (which I haven't tried yet) while I was there.

Slow weekend, but did pick up a new boxed Intellivoice at a garage sale for .25 cents. I thought that was unusual especially considering there was nothing else game related there.
