Goodies from Goodwill this morning:
http://img5.exs.cx/img5/2950/SMS.jpg
Found the sports pad games complete for $1.99 each, and hurried over the hardware section. No console, but no problem...the controllers were in a big pile, obviously just dumped. RF and regular controllers .49 each, 3-D glasses and sports pads .99 each, they had 2 light guns as well, but at $1.99 each, I left 'em behind (they're at the Oklahoma St. GW for you Milwaukee boys, along with a few standard SMS sports titles).
Good start to the weekend!

Well, today I decided to mix things up. Got tired of constantly thrifting so I finally tried out some garage sales and then went to a swap meet down the street. The day ended with a bang but first at the garage sales:
Only thing I found was at one house: Random Grab Bag of SNES/GB games.
SNES - F-Zero

SNES - Desert Strike
SNES - PGA Tour Golf

SNES - Super Mario Kart
SNES - Turtles IV
SNES - NBA Jam: TE
SNES - Megaman X

5 bucks for the two bags...nothing huge, but some good stuff.
Then I decided to go to a nearby swap meet and found something I was just thrilled with! The first booth I walk to a guy was showing something to a couple of girls which I ended up quickly buying for 20$:

Saturday was election day here, so after voting i went shopping and bough a traded in R: racing evolution for PS2 from EB for $19.95 AU. Ive wanted this game since it came out, but wasnt prepared to put down $80 AU on it..
Sucks that ill need a new ATM key card though (they invalidate them when you guess the wrong number too many times). :o

Popful, to be honest, I just happened to be in the right place at the right time on Friday night. When I was at an EB that I frequent, they had just received an unmarked box of promotional goodies, and the employees popped that sucker open and took what they wanted which included a weird Dragon Quest/Warrior crayon set with kanji letters on it, a beta copy of Guilty Gear: Isuka, an SNK decal, and an Aiai Super Monkey Ball doll. One of the smaller things left in the box included the DS stylus, so they just handed it to me after I asked if they had any leftovers. I thanked them and promptly left the store. (I think they wanted to empty the box of its contents before the manager came in the next morning.)
Oh, and yesterday, after I posted, I got an N64 with a gold controller and an Interact Sharkpad Pro along with a loose copy of Doom 64 at another yard sale for $4. Then, I returned a defective copy of Colin McRae Rally (PS1) to EB and bought a complete copy of The Weakest Link (PS1) for 3 dollars and some change.

jose - Good deal for you. I find it interesting that an EB store got a box w/ promo goodies such as the one's you listed. I've worked in numerous gaming stores for years, and can't recall ever seeing goodies like that coming through in a delivery. Anyway... Now I must figure out why out of all of the great finds listed in this thread, I'm most jealous of the guy who got a stylus?

I agree also. And I would also say that I probably don't find somthing every one in five times that I enter a thrift store. You just have to be patient. I go a couple of times per week before or after work and I find something at least every other week. And I definitely spend more time hunting than playing, but I'd like to change that.

Star Wars Trilogy VHS 1995 box set - 2.00
Do you mean the THX WS VHS box set that came in that big box with darth on it? If so, and if the tapes are in nice condition I'll give you $50 for it.
Haha! I wish, It was just the common box. Believe me, if it was the large box set...It would have been on eBay already. Even though I do plan on putting the one I did get on eBay. LOL I have it on DVD, I watched the originals this weekend and now I have no use for em.
