bought me a turbo grafx-16

I bought a turbo grafx-16 off of ebay the other day for the buy it now price if 50$. Came with all the hookups and 7 games.The games are: Power Golf, Victory run, Baseball, Final Lap Twin, TV sports football, Kieth courage and Alien Crush. I have never played the turbo grafx but I have al ot of great things about the system. I was wondering if I got a good deal and if the games are good or not.

The system itself is selling at 40 or higher lately. Seems like a fair price in all honesty.... Alien Crush they say is really good but I've never played it.

i would say that was a pretty good deal, the sports games arent worth too much but alien crush makes up for it.

And like I said I LOOKED EVERYWHERE ONLINE.. the cheapest I found for the system was $40 not counting shipping. I found plently much higher than that.

I plan on getting splatterhouse, also i was wondering about the cd addon. If it was like a whole new console or if you could put it on the turbo grafx 16 just like the sega cd or the jaguar cd?

its a nice system...i didnt spend too much time with mine, but its still nice


the one thing i dont like is the fact that it only has 1 controller port

i need to pick up an extra controller and a multitap (anyone have extras, send me a PM)

The CD attachement is just like the Sega CD. If you're going to get into the CD stuff, you might as well just put out the cash for a Turbo Duo. It plays almost everything and there is no need for extra cards (unless you want a few of the imports) w/ extra memory.

Final lap twin is the best game ever !!!!!! I thought it was just some stupid racing game but the story mode is like an RPG/racing game - you have to out race the enemies to win. I have a sealed copy of that game in my collection :-P Alien crush is ok. A good way to get huge points is by playing at the lower level. Keep on hitting those heads that are in 3's and when the alien's mouth is open ( the arrow is yellow) DO NOT ENTER. Keep on building up untill you have pleny of green eyes filled and the 5000 X 5 on then cash in (enter the mouth). You can figure out what i'm saying when you play

Thats not a bad price at all. Alien Crush is probably the best game you got out of that lot (from a collector's view). It seems to sell upwards of $10 on eBay if it has the case and instructions. I'd recommend the following TG games to look for in the future:

Legendary Axe
Neutopia
Dragon's Curse
Bloody Wolf
World Class Baseball
