Indeed. I failed in trying to make the point that the GameCube has been embraced by children and fanboys, whereas the PS2 and Xbox have been embraced by teenagers, grown-ups, and people with lives.

I cannot believe I just read that on this site. Talk about GROSS generalization. Does no adult here take even a small exception to that?

Your .sig doesn't exactly put the lie to my generalization.

ok enough of your nintendo-fanboy-paranoia!
You constantly bash nintendo users (*looks at your ridiculous sentence written above*) and everyone who says ANYTHING positive about gamecube or whatever is a fanyboy in your eyes.
too bad for you that you look the worst fanboy into the eyes when you look into the mirror
I'm surely not the only one who rolls his eyes when you fight your own war against Ninty-fanboys but defend every bit of Sony at the same time and with the same passion(example: your DS thread).

I don't care if you are a "well respected" person(here in this forum) who has tons of experience in VGs business.....well I don't respect you at all.
I already see the waves of "Look at his sig!And OMG,he disrespects Z!Kill the N-fanboy"-replies to my post but guess what? It's worth the trouble.

Oh and I'm a Nintendo-fan WITH life (you might know: girlfriend, dog etc)!

So an NES site makes me a childlike Nintendo fanboy. That's cute. So is you're problem with Nintendo or Nintendo fans? Do you actually mean to sit there and say every Nintendo fan is a whining 2 year old baby or that they're all rabid braindead animals?

Who's coming up with the gross generalizations now?

I have no problem with Nintendo. I have a huge problem with the fanboys who have attached their egos to the company, and whose considerable presence in these forums makes it very difficult to conduct intelligent or even rational conversations about the modern video game industry. (Look at the previous post for a glaring example of this presence.)

And you should take up Nintendo's targeting of the pre-teen demographic with the company, not with me. I'm only observing that most of its GC/GBA franchises--Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Donkey Kong, Kirby, Pikmin, Animal Crossing, et cetera--are aimed at children.

I played the demo of Metroid Prime 2 last night and I actually liked it. But I'm not a big Metroid fan. I never put too much time into Prime 1. I am wondering if I should buy the first and try it out. Seemed like a solid FPS. Controls were odd, I'm used to FPS games where the second stick strafed and turned like Halo, Serious Sam and most other good FPS games since, but it was cool for the most part.
