Okay so i was thinking what would be my favourite system if i was to choose from all the consoles/handhelds released by sega and nintendo while i -_- in this lecture i had in college this afternoon...

it took me a long long time to decided, but ive decided on the Gameboy Advance SP..

Why?
Graphics, Gameplay, dinky-ness n portability, Emulation of other systems (with flash card) and a superb range of software avaliable!

I really appreciate my N64, but it doesn't have many 2D games for me to play. Well, I don't play favorites, really. I will say that my top three would have to be the Genesis, SNES, NES, and N64, not necessarily in that order. I've had a few slightly less pleasurable run-ins with Genesis titles recently, though...playing a bit of Growl, Saint Sword, Slaughtersport, Time Killer, and something else almost as bad as Slaughtersport sort of depressed my faith in the console, momentarily. Momentarily, though. Gynoug is great fun, and I really do like Growl and Saint Sword...but when I look from those to some of the stuff on the SNES, the difference is pretty noticeable. Alright, I've said my piece :)

I've been a Genesis man since release. I've come and gone with gaming, selling and buying back often... but I've ALWAYS had a genesis. It's just old hat to me, and I always know my collection is solid if I have one kicking about.

I was gonna vote for the Virtual Boy, but then I decided to vote for the Gamecube for a few reasons. First, I'm playing Metroid Prime right now and loving it. Second, besides all the good cube games, with the addition of the GB player, I can play all the good GBA games & the kicker - using a flash card, I have play ANY NES game on the cube. All that with the Hori snes style controller really makes for a great gaming experience.

saturn, has some of the best games ever, and it does 2D near flawless.

NES

It's the system that single handedly created my interest in video games. I had an Atari 2600 before an NES, but it never impacted me like some of the classics on NES.

Sega was ahead of its time. My genesis with 32X is by far my fav. I never had the chance to get a sega CD to make it complete. Saturn was fun and I love my DC (the controllers never really grew on me  ) Four player ports, three victims, Quake 3: Arena. 8-)
Messy.

Such a difficult choice...I LOVE most of those systems.I had to choose NES though, because I play it so much more than the others i own. There are so many fun games to hunt for, and i score many more NES games in the wild than anything else. :D

Genesis, it has Phantasy Star, Shining, Sonic and Streets of Rage, plus a mess of other platformers that I like.

N64.

I dunno......plenty of memories of great gaming. I love how "chunky" everything about the system is. The console is big...the controller is big....the carts are big.....and the game boxes are big. We used to affectionately remark that if Fisher Price made a gaming system it would look exactly like the N64.

It's a "friendly" system. Lots of fun and magical game worlds.

My favorite Sega system is the Dreamcast. Last week I re-bought one and started over again and already have 14 games. I bought 11 of them today. :D
Same reasons.....lots of fond memories, and Dreamcast software is starting to get hellishly rare around here. It seems that others are interested as well. I figured that I'd better shit or get off the pot.

My choice would be the SNES followed closely behind by the Dreamcast. I still play these two systems.
SNES had a wide array of games (great RPG's and adventure games) and the dreamcast showed me (although a bit late for Sega in the mind of others) that they were willing to try new things (built in modem for example) as well as great games right of the start. :D

Gotta be the SNES, has the BEST rpg's than any other system. Playstation rivals it, but didn't top it, and the ports from the older systems don't count in my book.

Genesis all the way baby!

I have to second that! The groovy hard plastic cases just kick too much ass! Not to mention most of the games inside them seriously kick alot of ass too!

But SNES is a very close second, followed by Saturn & Dreamcast. I would say Saturn is a very close second, but 16BIT rules over 32BIT in my book.

Well even though Im tempted to vote for N64 as it doesnt get the repsect it deserves, there's only one winner and that is NES. :P

GENESIS DOES!

Saturn/NES/Dreamcast are second.

Everything else filters down from there.

However, the N64 will never get any love from me. :devilish:

That avatar and picture have a story:

A person (you know who you are) kept bugging me to get him a Neo Geo for $20. So on a boring afternoon at the game store i worked at we dressed up an N64 (which cost $20 at the time) like a Neo Geo.

Its funny that nobody noticed the Daikatana by SNK in the homebrew "Neo Geo"

Dreamcast. Almost every game I bought for that system is noteworthy. It likewise has Shenmue, Shenmue II, Jet Grind Rado, and Project Justice. What could be better?
