That is really great. Perfect timing, as I am knee deep in OOT on the gamecube. This is only the second Zelda game I have played, the first being Wind Waker.
Thanks for putting it up.
By any chance can you get music from Wind Waker?

I myself have finally started to play OoT for the first time in my life on the N64 and I'm loving the music, so that link was great. Thanks!

Good stuff, thanks!
You can never go wrong with the main theme, but my two favorites in this collection were actually Lon-Lon Ranch and Gerudo Valley. I was surprised because while playing the game the music in the Gerodu Valley didn't leave any kind of impression on me. But this arrangement is awesome! Now I'll have to go back and replay the game. Poor me. :D
For any of you peer to peer users out there, there is also a version of the Zelda theme being performed by John Williams and the Boston Pops Orchestra floating around. Just search for "zelda" and "john williams" or "boston." It should pop up (I used Shareaza.)
It's kind of fun to hear, although I actually prefer the arrangement used in the games. They stray away from the theme a little too much and go off on some tangental riffs. The opening also feels more like Superman than Zelda. Still fun to listen to, tho.

That would be a case of a mis-labeled file. John Williams is a composer, not a performer. He also only conducts his own music. To date, he has not arranged the zelda theme for symphony orchestra. Although it's possible it was the boston pops, it's more likely that it is either the London Symphony Orchestra or, more likely still, the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra. Both of them HAVE performed the theme, and the tokyo symphony version has been published on CD.

I never knew the LSO did the Zelda theme. I have the Tokyo one on CD. Is it possible to find the LSO copy?

Oh sure, I know Williams isn't performing it--I meant that he was conducting the Boston Pops performance of it.
However, you're probably right that the file is mislabeled. I didn't know that the Tokyo Symphony had played it and simply took the file's name at face value. Since Tokyo even put it on CD it's likely that it is their version floating around out there.
Even still, searching for John Williams and Zelda will lead you to that recording. I prefer the arrangement in importaku's version, tho.

Got it; thanks. Could probably use underscores in the directory name though ;)

Thanks! That's great! It's a nice addition to my LoZ: Wind Waker soundtrack (which I bought, thinking that it was legitimate only to realize later on that it's a pirate copy. Oh well, live and learn, as they say)
Thanks mate :) Another fine addition to my CD collection.
