OK, I know this is a pretty hard game to get ahold of, but It's sitting at my local pawn shop priced at 20.00 and personally, I don't want to pay 20.00 for an sports game unless it's something I am not going to run across again.
So, anyone have an idea of the print run on this, I've had 2 people tell me I'm an idiot for not getting it and that they doubt I'll find it again.
I heard the print run quoted at both 5,000 and 2,500.
So any idea on a print run or how/why this is rare?

Ahem...
GET IT YOU IDIOT!!!
Seriously, this game can easily go for $70 USED. It was only on store shelves for a WEEK before Sega pulled it. This will easily become a "holy grail" in years to come.

not sure on an exact printrun, i've heard from between 3 - 30 thousand depending on who is talking, but this game came out just as sega decided to stop making sports games for the gamecube. so they stopped production midway through and apparently recalled them all, although i have heard stories of tons of them showing up in places like oddjob and other discount retailers
plus having jason williams on the cover didn't help it sell too well either...

No clue on actual numbers... Ive only seen 2 copies in the wild and I got one (which was mis-marked at $24 [still had the old Gamestop price tag on it,] not the $34 it rang up at). If the story i've heard holds true, it was the last 2k released Cube title, and was on shelves for like 2 weeks tops, when Sega had it pulled for deciding to back out of the Cubes sporting lineup.

The price on this game has come way down lately.
It's going for between $35-$45 on Ebay in the last 30 days.
The days of $70 are long gone.

The reasons this is and will be rare -
: The last and final SEGA Sports game for the GameCube
: Was on the shelves for about 2-3 weeks, selling around 10,000 copies or so.
: Is the ONLY NCAA Basketball title on the GameCube, and seems to stay that way.
Trust me, get it.

I will if I see it. Just because I like to get the very last version of a sports game for each console. That's it. I only need one copy of a game, and the most recent/up to date one is the one to keep. :)

Personally, I'd like to find Cubivore.
Though I'd probably pick this up if I found it unless it was overly expensive. I'd probably sell or trade it off, though.
