According to USPS tracking #, the package I sent was delivered on the 6th. But the recipent has not posted to say that they got it. They have posted in this forum since the 6th. Should I worry?
Nevermind, I got a PM from my reciepent that he had indeed recieved the package. (I guess he figured out who it was from). :P

Okay... I am starting to lose my temper here. Today is December FIFTEENTH, ten days before Christmas. And yet, I STILL have people who have not told me they've shipped their packages. If I DO NOT hear from you TODAY that you HAVE shipped your package, you will be banned from participating next year. I'm sorry I have to do this, but it's really pretty ridiculous.

Tracking number emailed. It was sent out Monday and then I completely forgot to send you the tracking number or email. :embarrassed:
This won't happen next year, but never fear, it's well on it's way by now...I sent it Express!

I don't think we want to go down this road. I understand Jaime's frustration though. She tries to organize this and just needs a bit of cooperation from those of us who are participating so that it goes smoothly. And, yes, she's being very aggressive this year so we don't have anyone left in the lurch. Perhaps there may have been a better way of handling it, but there was also a better way of responding to this.
So, before we turn a freaking CHRISTMAS thread into a flamewar filled with "I said, she said, he said," let's all drop back and get some perspective on this issue. This is supposed to be a fun exchange of gifts. Everyone go back to your respective corners and cool down.

I understand where Jamie is coming from, why she's frustrated, and from what I gather, there have been a few problems in previous years with people not sending gifts (ie. basically being freeloaders).
I too was frustrated, as I made every effort on my end to let her know what was going on - and it was my understanding that everything was fine. Tempers flare, and if I get fired up enough, I can have a bad one, just as everyone else.
Regardless, sorry, no hard feelings Jamie, or the rest of you guys - I'm not like that, and hopefully you aren't either.
Anyway, I did as I said, and I went home and sent my package out just about 25 minutes ago.

seriously guys, i know that might sound stupid as i was one of the "problems" last year, but if you participate in something and the organizator sends you several pms and emails than why in gods name don't you reply? and if you participate in Secret Santa, then why don't you even bother to check out all threads that have to do with it... i can't understand that

Perhaps he means we should post pics when it's time to open the gifts, not now? That's a possibility...my cats may want to help me unwrap them come Christmas...o.o my dog goes crazy over opening up gifts. We often just let her do it instead of us :)

Your Secret Santa forgot about that when he printed his shipping label but wrote it in pen down at the bottom later so you would know not to open it.
At least that's what he told me. Or something.

I forgot to do this myself (that is write "Secret Santa" anywhere on the box), so I hope my recipient doesn't open it :)

I sent mine out a long time ago, the person should have t by now. Unless that person has done dealings with me in the past, I was quite sneaky about even revealing who sent it (it is in there when you open it).

Mine went out a little while ago. Unfortuantly I had an error, so my gift has been split into 2 packages. Probably recieved on different dates to. If you thought a box was very small, the other had some more stuff in it. ;)
I still haven't recieved mine unfortuantly. :/
The present I received, I so want to open it. Unfortunately for me, my mother had received it at the house while I was up at college. She had...well...then told me not to open it until Christmas, since she saw what it said on the outside. Now if I do open it beforehand, I am sure she and my brother will both get on my case about it. So it stays closed LOL

yeah i'm still waiting too, not worried either, the only fear i have is that it get's delivered to my main adress during the next days as i wouldn't be able to receive it then, i'm on holiday from today on, i did state that in my Santa email but i really hope my Santa noticed it and did send it to my parents

*Ahem* Your Secret Santa told me that he *did* indeed notice the date, and that the date said December 27, not the 17th.

Yeah but if there is dc at least we can keep track of it. Shipping is always screwy this time of year, unfortunatly. I more worry that the person is going to like what they get. But then after not getting to do it last year (was too new at the time) I started throwing odds and ends in a trade/secret santa box so I would be prepared.
