Hey guys, would a Dreamcast power cord work on a Saturn? Also is there probably any other place besides online where I can find maybe A'V cords for a saturn, I gotta chance to get a saturn but it has no hookups  I'm thinking wether I should just pass on it for now and get a Master System WITH all the hookups instead

I know the dreamcast uses like a genaric stereo type power cord. So it's swapable with the PSX and XboX (although the later is cosmetically different). I think the Saturns the same, but I wouldn't swear to it.

Get the Saturn! I've used a Saturn power cord in one of my Dreamcasts. I forget if it was with an original Saturn or a model 2. How much are you getting the Saturn for? You can get a complete Saturn for pretty cheap. The lowest i've bought a complete Saturn for was $10 complete with 2 controllers. THe highest was $399 at launch!

It works fine, in fact, the AV adaptors might too.

Man thats awesome to find one for just 10 bucks I dont see how you guys do it @_@. There sellin it for 55 but I might be able to talk em down cause there isnt no cords, for it. I know you guys are thinking 'wow thats high' I know but hey I'm only 17, dont have a credit card yet, not really legal to go on biddin like crazy on ebay. So yes I AM stuck finding stuff in the wild, and let me tell you it IS harsh LOL. Researching, making phone calls...its crazy. So when I do find something like a Saturn or master system I jump on it immediately. So the Power cord is out the way...What about that AV :hmm:

Yep I've used a DC power cord with my model 1 Saturn. No problems at all.
Finding the AV cables for your Saturn offline is next to impossible but they aren't expensive online either. About 10 bucks shipped for the s-video cables. Linkage (http://www.electricquarter.com/saturnsvhs.htm)
Is this saturn coming with games or is it just a console and controllers? Also how much?

$55 for a system without cords? I'd pass. I know you can't sign up for ebay without a credit card but you can trade with cash through well- places like this. For that kind of money I'd expect hook-ups, couple controllers, and maybe even a common game or some sports titles.
Edit: I also want to say I've used my genesis model 3 av cordes with my saturn. Or maybe just a regular nes or genny RF. Can anyone confrim or deny that? I honestly don't use my saturn much right now. I only own two games for it.

Exactly!
My Saturn was $13 for a loose console and two controllers and by the time I got games, cords and an import adapter I was still less than $60 into it. Even today I run across complete unboxed Saturns for $25 at my local new/used gamestore
What Daria said 8-)

Well I'm looking over at Vidgame.net and theres 10 prongs on the tip of the Saturn av cord and I'm looking at my Genesis rf adaptor and theres only 3 I dunno wether it'll fit.
EDIT: Thanks guys, I probably will pass on it and get a master system which is even more rarer to find in the wild. . My hunt for the Saturn continues I guess...

Just want to agree with everybody here.
(1) Power cords for Saturn, Dreamcast, PlayStation and PS2 are interchangeable, since they all have internal power supplies (the cord is just getting house line current into the console).
(2) $55 for a no-hookups Saturn seems like a bad deal. I picked up my last Saturn from GameCrazy for $20 with all required cords and one controller.

Just a FYI...
If you want a Saturn , I could do one for $38 shipped. That would include Saturn , hookups, and a controller.
I have several...

Wait what 55 U.S.D nevermind your getting screwed wait it out get the master system. I managed to get saturn and master system in the same month my advice is check those little ad books called like buy and sell those are good places to buy systems for cheap.
you can pick em up at gas stations and stuff there mostly for auto but have other things in them too.
