What are a few of the longest RPG's?

Can you give the approximate hours it takes to beat it?

Xenogears-around 70 to 80.
Phantasy star 2-60 to 70 if you didn't know what you were doing.
Dragon warrior (quest)-god, like 100 to 120 hours long.

Dragon Warrior 7 - I stopped around 60 and probably had about 10 hours left
Dark Cloud 2 - 60+ hours

Disgaea - This can be beaten quickly or you can play it for near eternity....
Shadow Hearts: Covenant - 40 - 45 hours
Final Fantasy Tactics - Around 35 hours and probably much, much more depending how powerful you want to make your team ;D.

Breath of Fire III - 69 1/2 hours and I didn't get everything or go everywhere. A very underrated RPG in my opinion.

I'll second Final Fantasy Tactics. I'm sure you could have beaten the game with lower levels, but I kept my party at the guides suggested levels and by the time I finished the game I had clocked in 105 hours. :eek 2:

Most RPG's for me these days take around 30-50 hours, maybe some going up to 60. The short ones I can blow through in 20. There are a couple where I can log 70 and 80, but I can't recall the names of them right now.

I have a bad habit of leaving my game system on pause periodically so it's not unusual for my games to clock in over 100 hours on a regular basis.

Consequentally I only know for certain that I beat Rhapsody in under 10 hours (one night session) and my Paper Mario game is currently pushing 40.

Sides that... phhhht.... no clue. :P

Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind - 60-120 hours I suppose. Depends on how many quests you go on. I guess the entire Elder Scrolls series of pretty large though.

Kings Field I and II: ??? Not sure how many hours. Lots!

Phantasy Star II...god...that game would take FOREVER if I didn't have a walkthrough for some of the later dungeons (and finding the hovercraft...what the?). It's great fun, but I'm really glad the series advanced past this game LOL

Morrowind is indeed an RPG...and it's definitely the longest I've ever been in an RPG. It's been surpassed since its release, but you could play that one for a very long time. To just max out your stealth skill requires you practice hiding for the equivalent of many, many hours straight (I think I left the XBox on overnight to do it? God, it took forever), and if you're playing the XBox version they don't want you to take stuff out of houses and move it around, so waiting for herbs to regrow in the wild so you can max your Alchemy skill would take a long darn time, too. All the while you're doing this you'll only hear 5-6 different songs, too, seems like LOL

Dragon Warrior 7 took me like 60 hours just to get to the point where I could choose my class @_@ I think it took me around 120 hours to beat, and I still "hurried" through it for the most part.

most rpg's can take a long time, it depends on if you just run through, or spend time exploring...like FFVII, first time i played it took me 45 hours....second time a little longer...and now on my..::counts on fingers:: damn out of fingers...like my millionth time, im at 154+ hours...ive spend so much time finding every secret...every item...and ive spent about 40 hours in the golden saucer alone :P

Well, I spent 130+ hours of my life on Final Fantasy X... I was trying to capture ten of each monster, you see, in order to fight Nemesis. :|

I did'nt think about Morrowind, because I played the original PC version and it's not a 'pure' RPG to me. But I did spend a huge ammont of time on the game. The designers said that if you did everything in the game -- main quest, guild quests, misc ones, etc -- you'd log in about 500 gaming hours. I can personaly confirm that. :D

I did everything there is to do in FFVII and that took me 75 hours, longest I've ever spent on an RPG to date.

I spent 120+ hours on Pokemon Blue trying to get all 151 Pokemon. Finally did though. And that's not including the time I spent on my brothers copy of Pokemon Red trying to get the Red exclusives.

That game still kicks ass.

I spent 98 hours in 4 weeks on Pokemon LeafGreen for the GBA, and I only had like 200 of the little buggers when I stopped.

Dragon warrior (quest)-god, like 100 to 120 hours long.

What, the original Dragon Warrior for the NES?

I too would have to say that some Pokemon variant likely would take the longest to complete. (So much levelling!)
