I'm thinking about getting the JPN versions of 1 and 2. Do I need to know any Japanese in these games or will I be fine?

There is a bit of story text, and the story is kind of cool, but nothing that really effects gameplay in any way. The story is told more in a visual manner than through words, anyway.

yeah you wont need to know japanese...esp if you ever played the english versions...now panzer dragoon saga is a whole nother story :P

Yeah I'd love to have Saga but would never be able to play the import. I'd just be a little bit lost. LOL
Edit: Just thought of another question I had. Should I play them in order or could I play the second game first and still be fine.

Yeah I'd love to have Saga but would never be able to play the import. I'd just be a little bit lost. LOL
Its a fairly linear game really, i'd doubt that you would have to much trouble playing it if you decided to import the game. Plus, you'd be saving yourself an aweful lot of money.

Money is the main reason I'm going for the import. I just bid on a couple of the US versions last night and lost. They went a little too high for me.

I just won a JP Panzer Dragoon on ebay for £1 along with a JP Christmas Nights for £1 so ill let you know once i get it here! ;)
I hope my Action replay is the right one for imports.....
It doesn't matter what order you beat them in. Unless you wanna cheat on Zwei. Just put a Saga save file on your Saturn and you'll have all the codes unlocked for Zwei.
