Laseractive owners - Need your HELP !!!

Just got a Laseractive :D and I have a sound issue and have no idea what could cause it:

I set up the unit with the Digital Out sound and the in-game sound is completely screwed up:
- Triad Stone : plays Game Over sound all the time, no sound at all except for that.
- Pyramid Patrol : no sound at all
- CD : plays ok
- LD : don't have cannot test.

Now, I unplugged the Digital and plugged the regular analog out (white/red) and sounds plays fine with everything.

Can someone explains this to me and tell me what could be wrong with my player?

The digital out on the Laseractive only works for Laserdisc PCM audio, not for Gen/CD/MegaLD games. I've tried to use it as well, but mine only plays the LD's digital audio channels.

To get the Laseractive to output game audio via the digital jack, they would have had to add a digital mixer & probably an ADC to convert the Genny audio into digital (I don't think the Gensis's Yamaha sound chip supports digital output). This would have raised the cost for no real audio quality gain.
