Man, that GBA is FUGLY!!!! I am glad some people like it though. I myself like the Famicom one much better.
I am quite fond of those white Japanese Saturns and the white PS2s. I also like the standard Dreamcast (and the pink one is also pretty snazzy)! I guess you can say that I’m a sucker for white systems.
I have recently seen some pictures of the PSP, and I must say that it is really purdy!

I actually really like the NES. It doesn't look like any other cart system. I like the way it's red eye winks at me when I put a game in it too. ;)

I think the panasonic Q,hitachi saturn,PC-FX and PC-Engine LT are the sexiest of systems. Yet they also happien to be some of the most expensive ones. :(

I'll agree with the first two. The US released Pokemon N64 is so horrible that it leaks oozing madness onto the PAL one (which I don't think is too hot either).
Now, transparent red N64? Oh yeah.

Oh yeah, Genesis 1 is great of course.
Here's another - Philips portable CD-i player, whatever model suits your fancy (370 for me).
Sharp NES TVs are neat - but how about a BeoCenter with integrated CD-i? THAT is the best looking "game system" ever!
<3 myself old PCs, too.

two simple things
I like small systems.
I like green.
So my favorite would have to be my case modded Dreamcast.
Beyond that though, it seems there's so much attention given to rare, exclusive, etc systems. The topic is best looking system, not necessarily the most wanted.
Some nice console designs IMHO are :
the classic Atari 2600 w/ woodgrain - when you saw that shape, you knew you were looking at a game system
Dreamcast - small, powerful and elegant
PC Engine - how did the Turbografx balloon into something twice the size?
Gamecube - why, oh why didn't it come in green? who needs an ugly indigo (purple)
Genesis Model 3 - NES carts are about the same size...

Hands down the NES model 2 (toploader) w/ dogbone controllers is the system console I find to be the best looking, following in a close second with the 7800 ProSystem Version 1 w/ Euro CX78 Joypads. Both very nice eye candy as far as consoles go in my books and well complimented by the newer designed controllers also IMO.

Id have to say at first I didn't like the DC, don't really like the way ot looks. But what I do like is how the controller looks like the system, and the cases carry the same theme. I love the Platnium GC, the U.S. Saturns and the Sega model 2 with the CD and 32X. Yeah I love them big!

The super fami casing wouldn't be too hard to mod to fit US carts. Just make the opening more rectangular with a file of sorts. Or you could just play Japanese games.

I love the Vectrex. It looks like Darth Vader. And the controller compartment idea is pretty slick.
I also like the way the Top-Loader NES looks. Every time I think about it, I remember the first time i saw mine, sitting on the bottom shelf at the local thrift. :) It was so beutifull.... and so cheap.Love 8-)

1. Atari 5200 - Mm-mm. Big and beautiful. I say without the slightest trace of embarassment that the feel of a 5200 cart sliding into the machine slot is nigh-orgasmic.
2. Dreamcast - Purely beautiful system. Elegant for its simplicity.\
3. FM Towns Marty - I'm a sucker for Japanese hardware design although I don't play a lot of imports.

I'm surprised so many people like the 5200. I didn't think anyone had one because the games are horrid compared to the 7800 games.
I think the NeoGeo mainly looks cool because of the games :) I like the Neo Geo CD too. PC-FX ... the PCE LT would look cooler if it was white to match the cd player but is still cool.

also the new PStwo looks kool just a little flimsy as far as the lid goes is all
Atari 5200 without a doubt. No other system has ever looked so cool and futuristic. After 23 years it still looks more modern than any system I've ever seen. Even the controllers, whether you love them or hate them, look clean and modern. Whoever designed the systems case did a hell of a job on it. No wonder both the 2600 and 7800 later copied its design.

I'd rather live with the putrid U.S. design than desecrate the much better looking Super Fami casing.
I also dislike the use of "purple" on the US system. What was wrong with the rainbow colors for the controller buttons? The logo that used those buttons was far better than the "Super Nintendo" logo..

Nah, I've always felt the Super Fami (original model) was a strange looking beast what with the inset panel and rounded edges. Interestingly enough, the Model 2 was the SNES Jr. (or some similar name) over in Japan...and those aren't too hard to find.
Aesthetically....I'd say that the Dreamcast is my favorite. I remember when I saw it on launch day that I was shocked by it's white starkness. It looked pure and sterile. Very nice with the raised spoiler back, the snap in modem, and the clean lines of the controller port panel. The controller looked like a ship straight out of F-Zero or Wipeout.
The N64 is a nice system with good symetry and flowing lines. The Cube isn't bad. The PS2 is ugly in it's unevenness and the XboX is the worst.....it has ZERO style, just a dark blob.

Sega Dreamcast - no matter what colour it's in (though white is best) there's no other console which looks as beautiful as this machine.
Super Famicom/PAL Super NES - whilst it borders on looking like a kitchen appliance, it looks very clean and attractive, even when a cartridge is loaded.
Sega Mega Drive II + Sega Mega CD II set - together they look very clean, and like they're meant to be. By themselves, each console looks unfinished, but connected they look pretty. I would've liked to have seen a white version of this.
