Just finished Klonoa 2. Great game, though overall not as good as the first. I can't quite pinpoint it, but it was just missing that extra something that the original had. Now, what shall I play next...

Link's Awakening DX (GBASP) - The ending sequence is rather charming for a Gameboy Color title. :)

Xbox - Ninja Gaiden

Such a great game. Lots of tough parts but after a few tries it's np. I loved the boss fights in this game and all the different weapons. The graphics and cutscenese were excellent. Probably the best xbox game I've played yet. Next up is KOTOR so we'll see how that one goes ;D.

I randomly decided to pop in Hammerin' Harry for Super famicom last night, and beat it. Fun little platformer that should've gotten a sequel. I think Irem really had something with Harry. Oh well. :/

Finally beat:

Playstation 2 - GTA: SA

Been playing this the past few days working my way up to 100%. Finally did it. Beat every damn thing in the game. When I waited through the credits, I got the 100% message, 1,000,000 bucks, I think my stats increased, but the hydra and rhino will not spawn outside of the house. Strange. The AT-400 now spawns at the Las Venturas airport. I took it nice and high and did a swan dive into the pavement.

Beat about an hour/12 min ago (12:56):

Front Mission: Gun Hazard

Wow! You know, I usually laugh at the overly emotive anime style of storytelling, but the end sequence for this game kicks all sorts of ass.

I'd say this was one of the best games I've ever played.

Damn shame there can't be more in this style (2D). At least the Front Mission series is still going!

Just now finished:

PC - Arcanum: Of Steamworks & Magick Obscura

Excelelnt game. One of the best rpgs I've played on the pc. I like the whole story and the late 1800's mixed with a fantasy setting. It was quite easy though using the magick path over technology....things just got burned and incerated to death. I decided at the end to destroy the whole world. ;D. Reminded me a lot of the fallout series. Now that I think about it, I've never actually beaten the fallout games, just messed around in them. Perhaps I shall load those up next.

Beat the shit whoop daddy pee pee out of Tekken Tag Tournament! YEAH BITCH I SET THAT DIFFICULTY ON EASY WITH ONE HAND TIED BEHIND MY BACK AND A BRAMBLEBUSH INSIDE MY ANAL SPHINCTER!!!

Also beat CvS2 a few dozen times, on normal, with an average of 800 GPS. The AI doesn't relaly know what to do against Morrigan, so that makes it fun.

Other games trashed this year:
THPS2 (last year I beat it with everything except one of the annoying Philly cash icons, then I lost my memory card and hunkered down and beat it again)
THPS4 (not at full 100% yet, but someday. Someday. ONCE THE SHIPYARD IS NO LONGER A STAGE. Stupid ships)

A slew of fighting games (MvC, MvC2, Project: Justice, Soul Calibur). None at the highest level of difficulty because my reactions aren't at their peak.

Gigawings 1 (exhilarating)

That game about a walking talking crime fighting anus.

And... umm.... whipped at Chu Chu Rocket a few dozen times. Does that count?

Today, just now, about thirty seconds ago, I beat Kirby Canvas Curse...and the end result, is "wow".

The gamew as incredibly more fun than I had expected. All following games will be compared to this one for a while, as it was a very solid, fun, entertaining and challenging game.

Of course, I just beat it the first time, now that i have unlockables, and mini games to complete, I'll have any adventures yet.

I definitely recommend this game though. HAL did right.

Just beat:

PC - Fallout 2

One of the best games I've played in quite some time. I really liked the story, and how the ending varies depending on what you did during the game. Frank Horrigan was kind of a bitch cause I didn't know what I was doing when I entered the base, so all the turrets weren't usable because I tried hacking the computer beforehand. So I had a 12 foot tall cyborg and 8 turrets on my ass ;D. Luckily for small guns skill and snipe perk though...Just sat back with his enclave patrol and sniped him in the eyes till the battle was won.

Sad it's finally over....oh well, I've got Himan 2, Hitman Contracts, Painkiller, and Planescape: Torment all up next on the PC ;D.

PC - Hitman: Contracts

Such a great game. I loved the level designs as much as the first game, including the remade ones. I'm glad it wasn't as touchy as silent assassin where you get shot in the head no matter what disguise you were wearing half the time. Got Silent Assassin rank on the levels. It was a bit tough wiring the swat fournier with about 50 people camped out in the streets with assault weapons, but a little exploiting worked out just fine ;D.

PC - Fallout

Just finished the oriignal fallout. Excellent game, just as enjoyable as the second game, but there's a lot more buggy stuff and some of the system is not as refinded as the sequel. The final boss was rather hilarious...I convinced it that it's race had no way or reproducing so it killed itself and set off the self destruct. Lol...no boss fight at all ;D.

Yesterday I beat Metroid Fusion (GBA). I took about a year. I was stuck with that SA-X bitch about half a year. Yesterday I kicked it ass, it hit me in the final battle. After that, the rest was easy. A very good game, but little too tough for me.

Today I finished Eternal Darkness (GC). An excellent game. One of the best, if not the best, current gen games I have played. More haunting than scary and a memorable game. Especially some of sanity effects are hilarious.

Recently finished:

PC - Planescape: Torment

Excellent, excellent game. The only thing I didn't like was having to downgrade my drivers back a few years, because the spell sprites mess up. Once they worked, they were pretty amazing, some of the spells even had FF like fmvs for the spells. The story in this game is amazing, and it doesn't come right out and tell you everything, leaving you to come to your own conclusion. Man, once you find out about the Nameless One's past...he's such a bastard.

Getting somewhat late in the year for this...I dont have much time to play through most games I have (same old story I know!) Luckily I got a $4 Pelican PS1 CodeBreaker disc compatible w/ Gameshark & other cheat devices, has tons of codes on it (you can add more & configure a mem card to save them) & has a few other uses. It's not compatible w/ PS2s, & I kept my PS1 at my parents' house an hour away most of the summer, so I only got around to using it around a month ago. Let me say this thing is a GODSEND! So far I've gotten through:

BRAHMA Force
PowerSlave
Countdown: Vampires

A(nother) cool thing in Countdown: Vampires is that after a few times through, more of the story unlocks & you meet some new characters.

I plan to get through Colony Wars, Abe's Exoddus, Hexen, G-Police, among others, if just to see the endings since I dont get to play often. Even though it's cheating, I still get a feeling of accomplishment, no matter how artificial.

I finally got through Half-Life (PS2) recently using the invinciblity cheat- I was very impressed w/ the first 90% of the game, but the ending (Xen) was poorly done & somewhat ridiculous IMO, almost as if it was tacked on. I dont know how they thought the game was beatable WITHOUT cheating!

In reverse order going back to June:

Zone of the Enders 2 - Just beat it a little bit ago. Far better than the first in every respect, though the boss fights tended to be more meh than anything. Being able to rip shit off of walls rocked.

Zone of the Enders - Yea, finally beat it. Enjoyable and other than Leo it'd had some really nice voice acting. Typical generic ani-fag storyline #20292383487, but the 3d beat 'em up action was really well done.

ChoroQ - No idea why this game didn't get more love. It's fun as hell! Tons of courses to race on (with multiple variations of each one), tons of ways to personalize and upgrade your car, tons of unlockable bonuses, and just a pile of stuff to do. Starts off slow (literally :( ), but stick with it for an hour or so and unlock the badassity. I hear Road Trip is better, and it's in my queue of stuff to play.

Minna Daisuki Katamari Damacy - If you've ever wanted a game that made the first Katamari Damacy unplayable, you need this one. Seriously, it's such a signifigant jump in quality that you just can not go back to the first game.

Castlevania Lament of Innocence - Initially I hated it, but midway through I really started having a blast. Can't wait for the next one.

Shining Force (Genesis) - Lord has this game aged poorly. Still enjoyable in the battles but the menu system is a clusterfuck. Shining Force 2 has aged quite a bit better.

Killzone - Here's a title that took me by surprise. Normally when I hear the term "Halo" in anything, I equate it with overrated hype and such. When previews of this game labeled it a "Halo Killer", I instantly wrote it off as another shitty console FPS (just like Halo lololololol). God damn was I wrong. No it doesn't compare to greats like Half Life 2, Far Cry, or Tron 2.0. Yes, it is buggy as hell. But god damn did I have a good time playing through it. Some really impressive graphics for the PS2, fun weaponry, and lots of shit blowing up. Right now it's $20, which is the perfect price point for it.

...and I've beaten a shitton of arcade games in MAME during my lunch breaks, but I don't count any of them since I've yet to 1CC any of 'em :( Hard to believe that I was so close to 1CC'ing Metal Slug at one time and now it takes me 12 credits (though I should have that down to 8 or less by Tuesday)

As always, more victories to add to the eternal war between myself and artificial intelligence. God, I need a life.

Killer 7 - Loved it so much that I even went ahead to beat Killer 8... and Hopper 7! As Dan would say, "This is too easy."

King of Fighters 2001 - I FINALLY figured out how to beat Igniz! Only pit one character against him, and have the other three teammates as striker characters! The one character you send against Mr. Cheapo will be more powerful with the other three characters supporting him/her, and he/she will actually be powerful enough to do normal damage against Igniz! Of course, you'll have to win in one round, but it's easier to send one tank vs. another instead of just four toothpicks.

Maniac Mansion - A classic Lucasarts adventure that I finally managed to beat. Several times, even. It took me a bit of time to finally find the Yellow Key. It's pretty easy to miss, all the way on the right wall in the Green Tentacle's room and whatnot.

Day of the Tentacle - The sequel to MM, still a classic after all these years. I was a little baffled with what to do with the textbook, though, so I needed an FAQ for that. :embarrassed:

Sam and Max - Man, I forgot how weird and wacky this game is! Damn funny, though. I had to use an FAQ for a few points, though. Curses. >_<

Shadow of the Beast - As far as I'm convinced, the Amiga version is absolutely impossible. But the Genesis version, although still fuggin' tough, is manageable. It takes a hell of a lot of playthroughs to learn where everything is and isn't, and you have to master precision when deflecting bouncing barrels with your mere fists, but it can be done... grudgingly.

Zombies Ate My Neighbors - I kicked their asses, all 48+ of them, including all the bonus stages. Man oh man... it took me the entire night to beat it. But I wasn't doing anything else, so I just thought I'd kick ZAMN's ass on a whim. It worked, and then I had to go to bed. :P

1/2/05 Who Wants to Beat up a Millionaire-DC
Surprizingly this game has alot of questions. I played it for probably 5 hours by myself and against my dad and got no duplicate questions. After my dad played a few matches with my bro he started to get some doubles.

2/13/05 Mortal Kombat-Tiger Handheld. Lets just say i beat it with 1 hand slightly incapacitated holding the batteries in and periodically sending messages in a chat room. Not a very impressive thing to defeat.

2/14/05 Easy Mode Chu Chu Rocket and Chu Chu Rocket Advance
I started play on Easy mode in Chu Chu Rocket Advance a few months ago and completely fogot about it. After buying it and beating Easy on DC i went back and beat it even faster on GBA. Total accumulated time was about 30-45 min. Time today 15-20 minutes. Time months ago on GBA 20-25 minutes.
Lets see how hard Hard Mode will be...

2/18/05 Hard Mode Chu Chu Rocket The only one that was really hard was Level 24. Other than that no more than a few tries each at the most. Maybe i get in the zone with this game?
Lets see how Special Mode goes...
Beat Special Stages
Special Stage 25 was pretty tough.
Lets see how Mania goes...
This has way more modes than i would have assumed. I am guessing this will be the last one though.

2/19/05 Smash TV-PS2
With out a roll of quarters this game would be very very hard to beat.
Luckily i was one step better and i had infinate continues.

2/20/05 Pit Fighter-PS2
It is a so so fighter. I have played much much better. I hope that everything seemed so screwed up because it was a port.
Mortal Kombat 3-PS2 This is so so much harder than on any other system.
Xybots-PS2 The end boss in this game is much much to hard IMO. And it sucks that when you die you loose all of the stuff you have collected.
NARC-PS2 This game also had an end boss that was stupily hard. It was strange the way you had to kill him because it seemed almost random how many shots it would take to kill him.
Rampage World Tour-PS2 I remembered this game being harder and longer for PS. It was short by no means. About 2 hours play time. It was also much glitchier compared to the PS version.

02/21/05 Katamari Damacy-PS2 Rolling up the moon was really hard for awhile but for some reason i tried this morning and got 700 some odd meters. Strange game oddly amazingly fun.
Got 169 countries at the end of the game. Going to go try for more at a later time.
Need to get 100% on some stuff still. But i am very very close.

03/12/05 Halo 2-Xbox I actually enjoyed this one more than the first... which i still have not beat... But in any case Halo 2 seemed shorter than Halo these games have a great story line. Can't wait til Halo 3. |D

03/23/05 Donkey Kong Land-Gameboy
All and all this game was a great way to pass time while riding the bus and before school. The levels were quite possibly more challenging to beat than the bosses with the exception of King K. Rool. Also got 100% of it completed so i don't have to go back now to try and find anything only to play levels and bosses that were fun. The game has damn good music too. It is very catchy.

05/20-21/05 Mortal Kombat 3-Genesis Beat it with Sektor, Cyrax, Stryker i think thats it...
Sonic 2 - Genesis More fun than the first Sonic IMO easier to beat too.

05/22/05 War of Nerves-Odyssey2 Got to 10 before the computer got 3 the first time. Got to 10 before the computer got 1 the second time.

05/29/05 Japanese Super Smash Bros. - N64
Started on easy and worked my way thru it up to very hard. I used a different character on each dificuly. Ended up beating it on various dificulties with Mario, Luigi, DK, Falco, Samus. I beat it with Mario and DK on multiple difficulties.

06/11/05 Revolution X - SNES
I have beaten this SOO many times. I wish i had a fully functional controller that way i coulda got the wings and just done things all around better and more efficiently.

06/24/05 Dong: Dan's Pong - GBA
Pretty cool pong GBA game Dan made. I was his play tester and offered him some ideas. You can download his game here --> http://www.freewebs.com/danvx6/games.htm

06/25/05 Mortal Kombat 4 - PC
It was really hard for me to get into this at first. The keyboard controlls suck so if you have any type of controller i suggest you use it. It will be a bit better. Also the frame rate is WAY faster than MK4 on any other console. There are a few tiomes you will have WTF moments.
When you knock down an opponant and they get back up and throw you or when they do a massive combo of moves that are not meant to combo thusly leading to them getting a flawless victory. It took me 2 sets of continues before i got good enough to beat it mearcilessly.
Super Dodge Ball - Japanese GBA
It wasn't that hard to finish this off. Just time your A button presses right and you got it. In the Jap version you play against the different territies in Japan. In the US version(and possibly PAL version too) you lpay against Korea, Japan, US, Canada, England, Australia and 1-3 other European countries.

7/20/05 Revolution-X - PSX
This version of the game is MUCH harder to beat than the SNES version IMO. I don't remember the last time i played thru the SNES version alone tho so it could have also been i was short a man :) I only got 3 out of 5 wings but i know where the others are i will try agani for those later. My score was 6,486,450. Now all i have left to play/beat is the Genesis and Saturn...
One of my all time favorite games though |D

7/28/05 Gungrave Overdose - PS2
Was a pretty damn good run n gun game if you ask me. It implemented some things into the game i have never seen else where.(or atleast don't remember seeing elsewhere) I only beat it with Grave which unlocked Juji Kabane and Rocketbilly something-or-other. They are making or already did a anime based of the game which i also want to look into. The story was good too and seeing it expounded upon would be excellent.

8/02/05 Mortal Kombat - SNES
I am disheartened to say that overall MK on SNES is beter than on Genesis. It has better controlls, better graphics, better sounds(for the most part). I didn't like that Goro had different moves(i think he was actually just missing one) I didn't like that Scorpion said "Come Here!"("Get Over Here!" is just to engrained in me) Giving the SNES version infinate continues makes it WAY easier too. The AI seemed stupider too. You can get the AI stuck in a loop of knocking them down incapacitating them knocking them down and incapacitating them while they are getting up again. Kano and Rayden can go into the ball/lunge though so don't sweep kick forever if it is your preferred cheapo technique ;)

8/19/05 Mortal Kombat - Gameboy
Beat it on the way to my dads house.
I don't understand why i couldn't beat Goro before and i had trouble with the Pairs matches before.
I got a flawless victory on Goro and didn't get 1 game over on my way thru. I was probably trying to rush the moves before whre as this time i payed attention to the natural game lag. Which sucks i migth add.

8/22/05 Pac-Man Collection - GBA
This game was very enjoyable. The arcade Pac-Man was a great port and you could play it full screen or scrolling which was cool to be able to chose.
Pac-Man Arrangement was challening and had a cool new take on the Pac-Man, Pac-Mania I didn't really enjoyed all that much to be honest. And my alltime favorite Pac Attack. Another challenging and cool take on the Pac-Man series. Which i always loved i might add :)

9/24/05 Final Fight One - GBA
This game gets very challenging on the later levels. I have almost all of the unlockables now. Just need the alternate costumes and "turbo button" and i am only a hundred or so kills from one of those.

9/29/05 Burnout 3: Takedown - PS2
I didn't get 100% yet but i have completed all of the races and unlocked nearly everything. Just need to get a gold on some races.

9/29/05 War Gods - N64
IMO a pretty good 3d fighter. The graphics where kinda iffy but it had decent fighting and all the characters were pretty well balanced. Was kinda easy though.

??/??/05 Unreal Tournament - PC
Beat Deathmatch - 8/17/05
Beat Domination - 8/22/05
Deathmatch didn't take too long and i thuroughly enjoyed it :) Domination was pretty short but i didn't like it. Hopefully i like that the least.
To be continued...

??/??/05 10 Yard Fight - NES
Beat the below modes - 8/4/05
High School 28 to 14
College 21 to 14
Professional 14 to 0
To be continued....

Haven't been able to play much lately but i think earlier in the year i made up for it.

Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction - Great game, but rather short. A must have for the fans of the Hulk, Joe Fixit, and the Abomination. :)

Hitman Contracts (XBOX), got SA on the final 2 missions as well, oddly enough I think they were the easyest out of all of them. Oh well fun game pretty good puzzels in it too.

PS2 - We Love Katamari

Just finished this one today. Got about 3,690 on the elephant mission and rolled up the queen & king and got the comet. It made a HUGE big bang that made my other one look like a gimp ;D. Afterwards I went to the sun level, rolled up all the plants and some random stuff and beat the game.

All in all, I loved it, but it does have some flaws.

Since the last post...

Sly 2 - Band of Thieves: Fan-fucking-tastic game. Amazing level designs and the humor factor was even better this time around. Again, awesome voice acting and a real slick presentation. At $20, it's a crime to pass on this one.

Right now I'm working on Armored Core (the whole damn series), so I'll gradually add those :)

September- Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando. I absolutely loved it. Easily makes my top 20 games of all time.

Test Drive Eve of Destruction is one of the XBox titles I had laying around and have not yet played. I decided to play the career mode. Start to finish in 3 days. What a joke. The game was fairly easy and extremely short. I was not even impressed with the damage. So a quarter panel falls off here and there. No biggy. Now, to finish Burnout Takedown.

Walker - Amiga ECS game. Very short game, very easy, but fun as all hell! I loke shooting the little guys. This game only takes about a half hour to complete. This is about the 100th time I played and finished this game.

I beat Kirby for the GB 3 times today.

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say I've beaten ZeroWing. I got past round 1, and got the congratulations screen with the things in my avatar, but I haven't beaten round 2 (when you beat it once you have to play through it again, i.e. round 2)

Sonic 1,2 and 3

Empire of Steel a couple of times

Ren and Stimpy's Invention

Streets of Rage 1 and 2

All in the last couple of months or so.

I'm close to beating a few PS2 games. I've got 97% on GTA:SA, but i can't find the last 2 horseshoes and last oyster. (Actually I've been that far since January) I started another game and got to about 40% then lost interest.

I'm about 3/4 through Half Life, but my PS2 is dying and won't read purple discs.

Working on Splinter Cell, too.

Ninja Gaiden Black, pretty hard game but the end bosses were a little too easy. I had a harder time with some of the midbosses. Oh well still fun though.

Ugh I hated platforming in this game however.

PS2 - God of War

God Im so fucking pissed....fought through all the BS battles in the final part and on the third fight, it freezes up whenever I get in a swordlock with Ares. I'm not going through the 2nd part of that god damn battle for a 5th time so it's beaten, over and done.

I've beaten Champions Of Norrath - Return To Arms in the second difficulty level some days ago. The last boss was way too easy (not as the one from the first game which I still wasn't able to beat) and now I have allready restarted the game on the next difficulty level. This time I will go for the way of the bad guy. I hope the levels will be different...

Woo, just beat the main storyline of Armored Core. Clearing out the last 1/3rd of the missions I didn't get to play the first time through due to the storyline and then I'm going to play Project Phantasma.

Awesome awesome fun, though that last level was fucked up. :( 3rd person mech combat games with questionable cameras and poor vertical aiming should NOT have lengthly platforming segments requiring you to jump up a very large shaft on reasonably small moving blue blocks while shooting at turrets and enemey MCs. That's just evil.

Fuck it though, I beat the game :D

Just beat Mars Matrix. Anyone who thinks Ikaruga is hard has never played this game. It took me all the lives and continues possible short of free play to beat it.

Just Beat:

DS - Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow

Most fun I've had in such a long time. Finished it with 100%, found all the souls, and forged all the ultimate weapons for each class, which brought my souls back down to like 88%. Finished Boss Rush and got all of the secret weapons. Nothing better than beating a demon in the face with a teddy bear.

Gonna replay the game on hard to unlock the last soul attack. So much fun I won't mind going through it again! Nothing else to start playing until my damn xbox P.S.U arrives anyhow...

Been on quite a roll for a while...recent completions:

PS2 - Devil May Cry

Geez...had it saved on the griffin fight FOREVER. Just never picked it up again and continued on. Finally threw it back in the ps2 and finished up the last chapters in about 2 hours. The zeus demon statue guy got his ass kicked so hard. Pretty funny stuff.

PS2 - Gitaroo Man

This game kicks quite an amount of ass. I was stuck on that shark level FOREVER and never got around to passing it. Finally got the technique for those insane button presses down and it got much harder towards the end, especially the final boss. I've been replaying it quite a bit, trying to go for all A's on the levels. The day of the dead level was my favorite of them all.

Gamecube - Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes

Great revamp of the classic. I like the addition of the FPS mode and the graphic makeover is excellent. Some of the cutscenes were a little more over the top then I remember them being originally. The redone Psycho Mantis cutscene was rather hilarious. Beat it twice, doing Otacon's ending first for the stealth camo, and then did Meryl's ending.

PC - F.E.A.R.

Just plain damn awesome! The game looks amazing and the combat was furious and really intense. Without that slowmo feature, it was quite easy to die in seconds. I'm defenitely going to replay through with cheats, to use all the weapons (damn 3 weapon limit!) and blow the crap out of soldiers. It was quite unique how they added in the "Ring" type horror element. It worked surprisingly well and really hightened the tension going from dead silence with creepy shit happening to loud as hell firefights. Man...that girl got damn creepy towards the end ;D. Most of the scares throughout were pretty predictable though.

I recently finished Fighting Force 64 and Carmageddon 64. Ouch.
