BTW, at EB, is there limit on how many games you can trade in if there're no repeat(s) in your trade? ie, 8 games with no 2 of the same title.

Yeah I found that out the hard way. Sucks that I cant trade in two of the same game, because now I have 12 extra copies of Primal. Then only way to deal with it is to go find 12 copies of some other cheapo game so that I can trade these in...

Gamerush doesn't care how many copies of the same game you trade in, plus they'll give you $5 in trade in for Primal. I just traded in 7 copies of Mojo! which I paid $7 for, got $35 trade in value, and pre-ordered Project Snowblind using the $35 in trade in value. (Gamerush has a deal where you trade in any 2 XBOX, PS2 and GC games except old sports games [current ones are ok], you can pre-order any $50 game for $35 plus use your trade in). So I got a $50 game for $7.

If only there were a gamerush around here... At first I thought you said gamecrazy and I was excited. Oh well.

I went to TRU just to walk out with Eternal Darkness (GCN) for $5. There was nothing there except a million copies of Perfect Dark and a bunch of sports games for the DC. :/ Oh well, I was in the neighborhood anyway...and the game got excellent reviews from gamespot. :)

The second time, I mellowed out, and brought the 13 copies in a TRU bag, and the cashier laughed when I kept pulling out Drake's. The manager was nearby, and I flashed the bag, and fessed up what I just said, including price paid. Even showed him the two receipts. He laughed.

The third time, the next cashier laughed too, and the manager said laughing 'Just spend the credit here!'

And I did, some of it anyway, so far, except for gifts for my V-day and my sixth month anniversary that the store didn't have in. I'll be back to spend the rest soon enough. ;)

Well, I didn't have as good luck trading mine in. I bought 17 of those Drake games. 14 were $5.88 and 3 were $7.48. The first 3 FYE's I went to would only take 1 each. A 4th FYE wouldn't take any at all claiming they already had 2 in stock. The 5th FYE took 8 of them. I probably could have gotten rid of all of them, but I had only bought 11 at that time, with the other 6 being purchased after I left this particular FYE. so when I went back with the last 6, a different store manager waited on me and said she couldn't take them as she already had 8. Oh well. I now have 6 left and am debating whether to hold on to them and try later or just return them to TRU. This is what I managed to pull off:

11 Drakes at $5.88 each for$64.68 netted me $165 in trade-in
2 Mojos at $1 each for $2.00 netted me $17 in trade-in
1 ESPN College Basketball 2K4 at $2.00 netted me $10 in trade-in

So, $68.88 turned into $192. I also traded in Robotech and Ice Climber for the GBA and got $13.50 more.

I picked up a Nintendo DS, Super Mario DS and Mr. Driller Drill Spirits. Total was $232 with tax. I spent an additional $27 to cover the difference.

So, a DS and two games cost me $95!

Latest update: Gamecrazy went back on what they said, and wouldn't take in more than two copies of Primal. He also said that it doesnt matter because they didnt give you the $10 bonus on any games past the first two. So I went to the EBGames in the next town, and they guy took all 12 of the games without flinching. $66 in store credit, which got me Paper Mario: TTYD used, F-Zero GX new, a GC controller extension cable, and a DC first party rumble pack. and I still have $10 left on my edge card. Add this to getting RE:4 with TRU trade-ins on Friday and the TRU deal has been good to me.

Apparently the fun is over with the EB tradein deal. EB Corporate sent out a memo killing the ability to walk in with 30 copies of one game and trade them in for the $10 extra credit for every 2.

The Ultimate/Travel GBA Paks retail at $39.00 and they have tons of them at the one store I hit..I just took a few of these a few of those $1.00 each.

A lot of stuff is 10 cent....(Crazy)..and I'm only taking 1 or 2 of each.


I spent less then $40.00 on all the stuff in the pictures.
At the one store the Bill came out to $22.00 and the cart was over flowing like I went Christmas shopping.

Yeah, I found some interesting price differences going from store to store...

In the first, Primal, Mad Maestro, Everquest and a few others were clearanced. In the second, all of those games were still full price. I figured they would ring up like a green tag, so I asked for a price check on one. Primal - $20.00. And these two stores are literally just across town from eachother.

I've seen Drake at prices anywhere from $9.99 to $3.88 new. I think that I might grab some and use them for in-store credit sometime. I have one now... I bought it because I was interested in it and then heard how bad it was.

By the way, I'm going to post all the stuff that I got that I don't want / need in buying and selling a little later. I'm not looking to make much money off the sale, so if you need anything take a look in there later and I might have it cheap :)

Funny thing is..That's the store I was originally going to but I couldn't find it listed on when I did a serch for stores.
I've been there before but t's been awhile since.

As Rte 4 came into view I took the right and hit that store.
Driving in the rain was horrible and I chose rush hour to go and do this...

The two stores I hit had I'd say over 25 copies of Perfect Dark($1.00 each)


Lots of Computer games but I never check them..

There were two types of Mojos. The ones not on sale were in the stand clear plastic case. The ones on sale were in a purple plastic frame that you had to break away in order to open the game. Also, the UPC code had a sticker over it with a new UPC number on it. Some TRUs had both versions of Mojo. It was odd, some were marked down while otehrs weren't

Good for the Gamecube collection - I knocked out some tough titles to find for very cheap (RedCard, ESPN MLS), but there's nothing left now save for a few PS1 soccer titles. It was nice to see a receipt for $20 that said "You saved $180" or whatever, but it was fairly lackluster overall - part of living in the backwoods I suppose!

The sad thing about this is that Target had clearanced some Gamecube titles down to $9.99 - and after this, I thought they were too expensive. LOL

I'd say the same thing about Target, but I bought a copy of Champions of Norrath for $10 last night and I don't feel like I got ripped off.

At any rate, I just wanted to add that Drake for Xbox trades in for $15 at FYE, so don't squander those on EB's 2 for $10 deal, people. I gave one to them and I felt like crying after I discovered my mistake. Mojo for Xbox is worth $8.50 by itself.

In about an hour, I'm going to buy 5 copies of Drake from my local TRU so I can stack my trade-ins at FYE and finally buy that Sliders Season 1 DVD box set... 8-)

I went back to the TRU I went to last week, and to my surprise...3 more copies of Eternal Darkness. WOOT!! :D I though I had got the last one when I was there but the guy working told me they had found a few more in the back. I took them all and grabbed 2 copies of Drake to use a trade bait at F.Y.E. Not sure what I plan on doing with the 3 extra copies of E.D. yet... :/

my total was 198, and i paid 19. it said on my receipt that i saved 168 (i think)

i am currently looking for trades on games that i end up not getting, as i will end up with probably at least 5 ejay clubworlds by the end of today. i am going to spend at least 30 or 40 to get as much crap as i can (which means before savings at least 300-400).

for trades: i am mostly looking for n64, but also will take some next gen stuff that i didn't obtain there.
