Freedom Force 2 now available for pre-order (with bonus)

Since I know that there are not a few fans of irrational games on this board, I thought I'd repeat what may be obvious by now:

Freedom Force and the Third Reich is now available for pre-order. If you do pre-order, you get three bonus characters available in the game and some other stuff. I've already signed up; I think it's probably too late to squeak in under the blessed 500 limit for the signed art, though.

Just installed Freedom Force 1 on my PC not too long ago. Haven't had much of a chance to play it, though. (Takes a wee bit of getting used to, I think.)

I'll get it when it's only $5 in the bargain bin, that's how I got the first one, and Hero X also, are they ever gonna make a sequel to that one as well?

I've been told Hero X was abysmal.

Hero X has absolutely nothing to do with Freedom Force. irrational games are the guys behind it - also behind System Shock 2, one of the Tribes games, and some other stuff.

I eagerly anticipate Manbot's return. He's all set up with the time-travel bit they have going on.

UPDATE - Just went to Best Buy today and they have this game on the shelf. If you pre-order at Best Buy, you get one extra character there, too - a 70s version of The Ant. It says that the "activation code" will come in the box (maybe the pre-order box?)

You do NOT get the Ant if you pre-order from Freedomfans.com - you get Tombstone, Green Genie, and Queztacoatl.

Maybe if you pre-order the game other places (Circuit City or whatever) you get different heroes? If so, we should all pool activation codes and get the game @ different places.

I'd advise against pre-ordering anything from CC. The POS system is so crap it would probably take them a half hour to dig up the pre-sale. Just say no to pre-orders at CC. Take it from me, I work there.
