Ubersaurus: Sure, I can play SVC. I use Dhalsim. I used to play a lot when the game first came out, played all the top people, win pct is about 85-87% with 250+ games......must be ranked in the 200s by now due to lack of playing.

Not in the tournament. But banning some characters in Hyper sounds like a good idea for the league. Such as the ones you mentioned...and banning Gill in Third Strike.

Doesn't look like anyone's banned in this tourney, although I'd assume Gill is banned in 3rd Strike.

I actually haven't heard much about HSF2 tourneys to know who'd be banned in that. I mean, WW Guile still has to contend with Dhalsim, but I don't know about Bison and Akuma (wasn't he slowed down in HSF or something?)

The ranks don't mean anything to be honest. If you start a new acct and keep beating B ranked players until you reach 1000 games total, your points will move up exponentially because you are supposedly playing "veteran" players. I first started playing the Japanese import, which is why my rank is SS in all the proper SF games, but my rank is so low. SS means you have won at least 70% of your matches. Each player I played was only worth around 3 points, and after 1000 matches, everyone is worth only 3 points =( I ended up making it to the top 10 overall in CVS2, only because I won 85% of my games, and kept playing it. I must have 12000 wins in that game compared to 1200 apiece in 3s and AE.

I believe it's the same style you'd use to get him in SSF2T arcade... it involves highlighting Ryu for 4 seconds, then going to other characters for a couple seconds before going back to Ryu for two seconds and hitting start. If you have the guide, it explains how to do it there.

Well, the tournament kinda died, and it is entirely my fault. LOL I did get to add a pile of Xbox Live gamertags to my friends list through this thread, though, and I hope everyone else did the same. Here's hoping we can have another tournament in the future, with somebody besides me in charge of it!
