Now I may have had a topic on this once before, I don't remember or this was covered somewhere so don't bash me please.
#1: Does the slim PS2s experiece the same issues as the big models, especially the disc-read errors?
#2: I still can't get used to the GC controller for some odd reason, did it take anyone awhile to get used to it?

I havent had any issues with my slim PS2 yet, but it's too new anyway. I'll have to see what happens after a couple of years.
I love the GC controller. It feels a lot better in my hand than most other controllers. I really like how the shoulder buttons are concave. I also like that the analog stick is right next to my thumb, unlike the ps2 controller, where I have to bend my thumb down a bit.

I find the GCN controller a great fit for my hand, easily my fave controller ever, with the Dual Shock 2 and the Genesis crescent-shaped controller.

#1: It reads disks fine even if they're really scratched, the only problem right now is that it heats up really fast.
#2: No

I really don't understand controller complaints, the only controller I've ever specifically felt uncomfortable with was 3DO. The rest were fine since they're, you know, ergonomically designed to feel comfortable. Do all gamers have hideous mutant hands, or do I?

I don't know. This seems to just be a me thing, but I've never been able to hole the PS controller for long without pain. Now, I do have wrist problems already, but the design of that thing makes them worse. There's an old non-Dual Shock controller I liked, which I affectionately call the Bat-a-rang, and I liked the old style Logitech wireless (except the analog sticks crapped out on me after less than 6 months.)
The Dreamcast and Xbox controllers, I'm cool with. Just looking at the GC controller makes my wrists hurt.
