Very nice, looks like a relaxing little area to play games, as opposed to some game rooms where I'd be afraid of being crushed to death by shelves and games if an earthquake or something happened. :P How do you play the higher up systems, though? Don't the controller cords hang high in the air all weird? o_O

Kick ass collection of NES games too. :)

That's a really nice room, definitely the kind of setup I'd like to be able to have someday. Where did you get that giant gamecube banner? It looks really familiar but I can't place it :/

I don't like the samus logo on the pc, but that's just me. Anyway, great collection mate, i just hope i sometime get something around that quantity.

Surely that seating arrangement can be a bit deadly if you've had a few pints... Any plans to make it a little more *Permanent*? Lol! LOL

Nice idea though - Loving the whole faux cinema design! Now all you need is a projector and screen and you'll be set!

I got it on ebay. I think I got it for 25 bucks. Not a bad deal I thought.

man what i would do for a samus action figure

It's not the best action figure in the world, but as it's the only Samus action figure that I have ever seen, I think I'll keep it, being that I am a huge Metroid fan.

Face all of your NES games the same way.

The NES games that are facing the wrong way are the ones I still need to take apart and clean. I got a bit behind.

Someday, if I actually own a place, I will do it right with a projector and a platform built from wood. You would be surprised how stable the milk crates are though. Tends to freak short people out though when they can't touch the floor.

Let's just say I went a bit crazy when Circuit City was doing the whole 5 dollar thing.

It's a Monivsion. Not the best in the world, but things look good on it.

Tell me about it. This forum isn't making it any cheaper. Can't wait until my Flintstones 2 actually arrives. I have been buying lots of rare games from here in the past couple of days.

Again, thanks for the comment, and here's to 2000.

I made a few comments in the gallery itself.

@everyone: did you know you can do that? Just click on a picture, the "Add a comment" link will appear underneath it. It's kinda like each picture gets its own message board.

Ya, a little tip about them.... one of my buddies built a ~ 1.5ft stage so that the people in the rear couch could see the TV. It's sorta like statium seating.

Nice room... Very organized !!! :)

That's an awsome room. I wish I had that much room in my room. Mine is very cramped, and not pic worthy yet.

That is a nice NES collection. I'm at 330 right now about 100 boxed or complete.

That was bugging me too, but now I think that's actually a pretty neat system. I just keep all my dirty/untested carts in a milk crate (which is now spilling out onto the floor in front).

How exactly does the HTPC work/what does it do? I'm not familiar with those...

Holy crap, where'd you get the Genma and P-chan dolls?

Do you know how many bonus points i'd get if I bought my girlfriend a p-chan?!

How exactly does the HTPC work/what does it do? I'm not familiar with those...

My HTPC serves serveral purposes. First and formost, I have a Video input card in it, and I run my systems into in. I then use the program dscaler (http://www.dscaler.org) to deinterlace and upconvert the games I play.

Second, I use it to watch movies on.

It is also my music jukebox, all of my CDs have been ripped and stored onto it, allowing me to listen to whatever I want at a click of a mouse.

I also have an IR sender that controls everything. I tell my HTPC that I am going to play the Gamecube, it sends out the commands to the reciever to switch to that input. I can also control volume and everything else with my mouse.

The front end is the highly configurable xlobby (http://www.xlobby.com). I have done a lot of work writting macros in Open Office (http://www.openoffice.org) to convert my inventory spreadsheets into compatible format for xlobby. It has taken me litterally months of work to get it like I want, and all the programs I use working nicely together, but I have it running pretty smooth right now.

I got them at a local anime store several years ago. You can also see my Ryo-oki doll there as well. I used to really be into anime, but after I decided to go back to school, the pocket book will only support one collection, and I chose videogames. The stuffed dolls are really cool though.

Lots of my stuff is packed away in boxes, like the NES boxes, instruction books, and all that stuff. I am not a real stickler on complete, or else I would have only 30 or so NES games. I also have a couple of pong games, a six switch 2600, a 7200, and a Virtual Boy. Lots of spare systems as well.

Wow. That is one of the most sophisticated setups I've seen.

I have way too much stuff in my room, I could only DREAM of having a space big enough to spread everything out. If you've seen my "Lair", you'd see how cramped it was. It's even more cramped now, a year and a half from the last time I took pictures.

Also, I posted a comment about that GameCube banner, that is so cool. I would have nowhere to put one!

I like the Zelda banner though, I have a DS, Donkey Kong Country 2 (GBA) and Final Fantasy I + II (GBA) version. Only one is hanging right now. The FF one is in my brother's room and the DKC one awaits a place to hang. (I am outta room completely in here.)

Curious about the GBA games. They look to be in DS cases. Did you print out inserts yourself? That's cool. I wish I could do that. Well, I could, but I have no time. Oh well.

Kudos. I envy your space and setup.

Yep, that's what I did. I just wish there were cases that held other Gameboy games as well.

I get most of my information from http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/. They hae a HTPC forum that is good if you are willing to do a lot of searching.

Where can you get empty DS cases from though? Is there anywhere else that has cheaper cases than Nintendo directly? That would be a great way to diplay loose carts!

the online nintendo store is probably your best choice....buy them in groups of 10 or whatever if you can ( i know they have 10 packs for GCN cases)
