A bit over a month ago, I bought a Gameboy Color from a coworker for $AUS20, and it triggered me deciding to start collecting original Gameboy and GBC carts. I still don't fully understand why, but I tend to follow my impulses.

Who all of you out there actively collect for GB/GBC, and if so, let's hear some tales, see some pictures, share some resources for information on rarity and reviews, and even give some storage hints.

I'll start:
- lowballing on eBay is fun and can work now and then
- Navy Seals by Ocean for the original Gameboy is a fun
platform/action shooter
- the two on one arcade classics games are pretty reasonable
conversions.. I have Asteroids/Missile Command and
Centipede/Millipede.. looking forward to getting Galaga/Galaxians.. anyone out there know if there's more than the three in the series?

Games i recommend:

Zelda DX - Links Awakening (No Gameboy collection should be without this!)
Kid Dracula (a nice Konami game, reminds me a bit of Castlevania)
Harvest Moon (another classic)
Mystic Quest/Final Fantasy Adventure (A good FF Action RPG)
Final Fantasy Legend II (enough said!)
Skate or Die: Bad n Rad
Wario Land: SMB3
Mole Mania (A great Action Puzzle game!)
Pokemon Red/Blue or Gold/Silver (self explanitory)

Also invest in a Super Gameboy for SNES, you wont be disapointed!

I've got Mega Man: Dr Wiley's Revenge (MM 1, I guess) and I have to say
it annoyed the living fuck out of me.. I guess I don't have the skills to pay the bills, but.. damn.

Yes, its MM1. Haha i know what you mean :) Mega Man on Gameboy isnt that good as on NES. Worse controllers imo (most likely because on how the Gameboy are build compared to a NES controller, but still playable), and the arm cannon seems much weaker.

The Gameboy Color version of Defender + Joust is excellent. I'd go so far as to say it's the best port of Joust available, and Defender is also extremely well done. But watch out for the original non-color release, because it's completely different, and not nearly as good.
