The Menacer cart is different. The 6-Pak has Revenge of Shinobi and Streets of Rage among others, a pretty amazing compilation of games.

I've been to the three sites listed just above and FOUND the Funny Boy/Balloon World ROM, but I'm having problems downloading it. The third site makes me wait 300 seconds and then seems to think I'm leeching (probably a Go!zilla issue). I'm not patient enough. If anyone's got these, please e-mail me, thanks!

These are RealTek games, and neither is dumped correctly due to some apparent bank-switching in the cart.

This is dumped as Megagames 6 in 1 US.

This is the exact same dump as the Megagames 3 in 1 vol 1.

Thanks to you, Dr. Snorter, I need only one now: Earth Defense. So it seems the only known dump is bad. Is it a problem with the original cart or with the dump process? Because I can donate my cart if someone will dump it. I don't have a cart reader for Genesis though if the person dumping these games is using the actual chips I could disassemble mine and do it that way too as a last resort.

The problem with all the RealTek carts is the same as with many of the pirate carts such as King of Fighters 98 or Sonic 6...they are not standard carts and seem to use some type of bank-switching. I have a pile of them myself and they don't dump currectly using an MGH, SMD or my own custom-built device. If someone could come up with the specs for these odd "black goo" carts, they could be dumped.

it's definetely not an us cart, it says mega drive, not genesis. but i'm not sure if it's japanese or pal, though i think it's pal

I don't think Japan had the Blue Block letter MD logo, I'm sure it
was a PAL/SECAM only marketing type thing.

So it could still be a U.S cart. x_x

Yep U.K carts are PAL :)

Mine says liscenced for use in Australia so its PAL aswell.

Ah yes. Isn't it FUN trying to figure out the difference between Mega-Drive PAL, Mega-Drive Japan, and - from what I"m being told now - Genesis PAL? I'm confuzzled.

The point is moot as for the emulation though, I've now got all of the ROMS except Earth Defense.

I plan on selling on eBay soon, so the first thing I need is a "Bloody"
digital camera. :roll: So in about 4 to 6 weeks I'll post some pics
of the elusive Genisis PAL cart.
(unless I can find someone with a camera or scanner sooner ;) )

I'll be able to scan my cart in a few weeks too(i have got a hp3300c scanner, but there are NO **** win2k drivers for it , i need to reinstall win98, but that has to wait until my new hd is here :( )

i suppose we do both have a pal cart, but your one is for the australian market and mine for the european

I think I've seen a 6 in 1 Volume 3 a few times on eBay with Predator 2 in it...but I could be wrong...
