I am going to be in the Minority here, but I think that except for the first Super Mario Brothers. The rest have been complete crap. JUST My opinion.
I know how that will piss off a lot of people. but it is my opinion.

I agree about Tomb Raider the last 2 have been very disappointing.

The games following SMB are not crap. That's silly.

As for Tomb Raider.. agreed! The first game is still great to play through to this day, while the others get crappier and crappier.

My entry for crap series is Ninja Turtles games. I know, TMNT 2: arcade is a lot of fun, but the rest poorly copy it, and don't improve the formula as they should. This includes the newer ones being released now.

Of course, it goes without saying that the original TMNT on the NES is crap. And creepy, in a way.

I hate Yu-Gi-Oh, but that's just me. Not judging the people who like card battle games.

I never liked the Ultima series either.

Agreed. Besides the fact it hasnt even made me lift an eyebrow since 7 the series has just become a stupid drama queen cgi movie. You ever sit through this crap? Slow motion falling in love oh ya giant sword to defeat this guy who was my best friend but now he hates me it turns out we are clones and he killed my girlfriend. Its like Dawsons creek with magic and big eyes.

They could have made that crap Final Fantasy movie into a PS2 game where every 35 minutes you have to wander around an isometric map and call it Final Fantasy 12 and It would have sold 10 million copies. and have its own convention where 37 yr old fat men dress in tights and buy fan art of the characters making iut nude. ... Ok that already happened but anyway.

In my opinion "which is unarguably the best opinion ever" the Final Fantasy fanboys have also become the most annoying subgroup amongs gamers these days as well.

The two Army Men RTS's on the PC rocked my face off. The others made me want to shoot my face off. So, I'll agree with that. An Tomb Raider. And Final Fantasy. I'll also throw in Bloodrayne. I bet a lot of you didn't like the first one, but I did. Lots of guns, killing nazis, its all good. The next one was like 'EDGY' LOOK AT MY BOOBIES. FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK. I SHOOT BLOOD, NOT GUNS. Hmm...well, double dragon was all downhill after the 1st one, except for Battletoads & Double Dragon which rocked, and I've also heard Super Double Dragon is really good as well, though I've never played it.

Also, as much as It pains me to say it, metroid. I love every game in the series, except for the FPS games, which I hate with a burning passon. Unfortunately, It seems that they're all going to be FPS from now on. Such a shame.

Oh, and Mega Man is still as awesome as he ever was, In case anyone had any doubts. 8-)

Yu-Gi-Oh for the PS1 was fun. The PS2 and GBC/A versions added new stupid rules. I wish I would've bought the PS1 version instead of the GBC version. Oh well, next trip to the states.

I heard a lot of hype about it being bad, but none of it actually prepared me for the experience of playing it. It literally FUCKED WITH MY HEAD for a couple days. After playing it, I just felt... wrong... as if my mind was trapped within that demented, evil checkerboard world. I'm seriously scared of that game. It's beyond just being a very bad game. Anybody remember Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey where they were trapped in their own personal Hell? Bubsy 3D would be mine.

GTA. Ive played all of them but SA and every one of them suck IMO. I dont enjoy a single one of them.

When youre thinking about Army Men...dont forget to think about Portal Runner. While it isnt exactly a sequel its still a nice addition to the Army Men line. :/

Dragon Ball (with so much crap are any of these good?)

Almost any liscensed series on GBC is rushed garbage.

For a while Star Wars games were about 90% crap.

Indeed, Bubsy 3-D is CRAP. Thing is, I liked the first two games. When EGM rated the Genesis as one of the Top 10 consoles of all time, they listed Bubsy as the low point. WHAT? Further proof that the writers at EGM are out of touch with older games... I could point out 10 games off the top of my head that are 10x worse than Bubsy. Sheesh.

Earthworm Jim is another that got killed in the move to 3-D. The first two games were lovely, then they sank the series with a wretched 3-D game. That's not the point of the thread, though, so I digress.

I will agree that Final Fantasy has gone down hill since 7, and now seem to be more CG than anything. I definitely agree on the Army Men series.

Here is one that nobody has mentioned and that was the Legacy Of Kain series. Since Blood Omen the Camera angles have completely sucked ass, and the gameplay and storyline have dropped drastically.

Also I second the Ultima Series. Not been good since the 2-D days.

Also Might & Magic series 5-8 just sucked.

The Gameday series for PS one have sucked since the first one.
