I couldn't find this game/system in the Rarity Guide. Any info?

It's basically a custom Mega Drive board + 32X board inside the case. Doesn't play games for either though, and the only cart that works with it is the operating software it comes with (which is shaped like a 32X cart but won't play on a real 32X).
It's used to edit pictures saved on 5V SmartMedia cards, and there was also a Sega-branded digital camera released at the same time, which is about as poor & battery-hungry as other 1st-gen digital cameras.

*Bump... anyone else have any further info on this device?

Rarity and value. A first hand testimonial from anyone who's used one would be cool too.

Well, they're certainly very rare - on the DP scale I'd guess around R9.
Given how infrequently they appear, it's hard to estimate a reliable price. I know NFG sold a boxed one for about $250, which is probably a decent guideline, though it would probs get more on eBay.
Still a hell of a lot for a pretty redundant machine with only 1 utility cart ;)

I don't think that NFG really sold it for that much. I saw them sell one on Ebay for less than $100.
