Because of my love for animals, I'd probably take a copy of Nintendogs with me. Or maybe I'll pick up a copy of Catz. Has anyone played Catz? I'm wondering if it's actually worth playing...

If I was simply picking a favorite game to Represent me on my death bed I would have to go with either Crystalis(First RPG I ever beat, everything about this game is great) or Castlevania:SoTN(Someone would have to give me a copy)

However that one game to play in my coffin, I cannot help but think of Animal Crossing: Wild World. I played it every day for 4 months when I got it.

I thought about it but i would take a game with me that would never bore me, i think would take Tetris Tengen version.

Simple. SMB 3 for NES.
I agree. Bury me with SMB3!

Mmmmmmmmmm, I would probably take one of The Bard's Tales for the C64. Ahhhhhh, the good ole days. :)

Damn straight. But just to be weird, I'll take my yellow JP cart of SMB3 :)

It has been three years since I created this thread and almost a year an a half since we last visited it. I would like to see some new responses. My answer goes unchanged. Burgertime for the INTV...the explanation can be found in my original post.

I'm gonna go with...

Mr. Bones

Just kidding. Hmm. I'll go with Gran Tursimo 4 with my Logitech wheel I guess... Throw in SMB 3 while we're at it. Oh hell, throw in Sonic 2 as well. Might as well throw in Doom too. :P

After 8 hours of sitting on your backside, the sudden movement gave tear to the vital organs behind your fatty ribs.
Actually, the danger of forming blood clots after sitting down for long periods of time is a potentially life-threatening situation...they always warn about this on those long intercontinental flights.

Back on topic, eww, gross. I'd rather donate my stuff to a museum...or pass it along...the games I'd be likely to feel really good about doing well in shouldn't be buried with somebody (think Raiden for arcade).

This is a bit cliched (or as much so as you can be in a topic like this), but I have to go with Gunstar Heroes. It's one of the few games I can pick up at any time and play it. If not that, I want to be buried with a Galaga/Ms. Pac-Man combo machine.

I'd be clad in a bond tux with a copy of Goldeneye in my cold, dead hand (or placed in my top pocket, but theres a good chance i'd be holding it when I bite the dust)

Share with us the cart you wish to be buried with.

I've narrowed it down to:

Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! (NES)
Super Mario Bros. (NES)
Super Mario Bros. 2 (U.S., NES)
Tetris (NES or Game Boy)
Track & Field (NES)
Super Castlevania IV (SNES)
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
Mario Golf (N64)
Pokemon Puzzle League (N64)
Star Fox 64 (N64)
Burnout 2: Point of Impact (GC)

I guess the most logical choice would be either Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World (SNES) or The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition (GC), but I think I'll have to go with:

Star Fox 64

Super Metroid, or the SNES version of Rock'n'Roll Racing. I have a lot of time to decide, I hope...

A third option, more on the emotional side now, would be Snoopy and the Red Baron for the 2600. I have lots of good memories of this one. It was the first game I got really really good at playing. The one that made me a true gamer.

When I die, I want to be buried in a huge NES console, and my coffin would be shaped like a cart. In order to bury me, I'd have to be pushed into the NES, then pushed down, and the lid on the NES would close.

Funniest thing I've read in a long time.

I'm taking my entire Dreamcast collection as well as the console, controllers, memory cards, and rumble packs. I'm going to team up with the holy ghost and take on the father and the son in a game of tag-team Dead or Alive 2 and whoop the almighty ones. Then me and the holy ghost are going to high five, but our hands will pass through each other because he's a ghost.

Sonic 3

And if I can get away with it it'd be plugged in to Sonic and Knuckles.

Hmm.

Honestly, as much as I love fighting games, and as much as actually think others in the series are better...

Final Fantasy I

I've played through and beaten this so many times on SO MANY consoles (about to restart on a famicom version, so my first all-japanese attempt) with so many party configs (fav? WAR/RDM/WHM/BLM) that it just deserves to be there.

2nd place for the same reason (but less play throughs) goes to FFVII.

Third would be KoF 2003 - King as a broken top tier character? Sign me up!

The Legend Of Zelda, this was one of the first games I really loved as a kid and still do to this day. I still break it out 2 or 3 times a year to run through it.

The original Kasselveinia.

I wish I could be buried in a sand tomb, the sand feels awesome under bare feet (I work in a cemetery). Maybe I'd be able to come back as a mudman.

For me it has to be Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

This is the first game I really got into and it turned me into a Sonic fan for life. Many hours of my youth were spent on that game.

Heaven = Final Fantasy VIII

Hell = Resident Evil 2

Purgatory = World of Warcraft

I figure I can play WOW until the end of time and by that time the big guy could decide if all the times I have helped little old ladies across the road overcomes all the little kids who I ripped of (It wasn't that many...) ^_^.

Without a doubt it would be Mega Man 2 (NES).

Arguably the game that got me started with gaming in general, I still go back to it every year and relive the magic.

Ok, so like a soulmate right? Cartridge based?

Not one I would play, but one that I would forever be one with in an eternal slumber with it by my side as a mirror into my soul?

That would have to be Maniac Mansion for the nes.

Yes, I can sleep peacefully knowing that it is there.

Phantasy Star Online Ep 1&2. That game is almost infinitely replayable to me, even offline.

If we're talking cartridges, I don't know, maybe Pac Man on the 5200 because it's such a great port and so replayable? Treasure of Tarmin on the Inty because it's a fairly deep game and has a lot of nostalgic value?

TheRealist50

Sonic 2 got me started in gaming when I was 6 and got my first Genesis. Sonic may have got me started but The Punisher dominated my youth. So I'd go with The Punisher and maybe a sonic 2 cart tucked into my sock :)

Assuming I actually change my mind and decide to be buried, Yoshi's Island. I think that was the first game I ever sought out by name. Before that, my parents had bought just a couple of games that were simply big hits, but after I played Yoshi's Island at my friend's house I knew I had to have it for myself.

Hmmm... I just tell my friends to make sure my NES is in there. If I had to pick a cart, it's a hard choice between Mega Man 3 and Chrono Trigger. Heck, I've already thought about requesting "To Far Away Times" being played at the service.

As a side note, here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6iT-lMgfAI)is the ultimate funeral song.

Well as a big Mother fan I would love to be buried with Earthbound, though I don't own a copy myself. My other options would be the Mother 1 proto cart that gave birth to repros, and the Mother 3 Deluxe Box. As far as what I actually own and want to be buried with, ZAMN, since I could never get tired of playing it :)

Legend of Zelda for the Nes, still one of the best games ever made, period.

Now only if they have a Nes and a TV in hell, because everyone knows thats where i am going to wind up. LOL

No hell is having every game made ( both sealed and open for play), a 72" 1080p plasma TV,a great surround sound system, every console modded for best resolution, the fluffiest couch, all your favorite snacks you could ever eat, all the time in the world and

no power outlets anywhere :(.

Oh and i would take Final Fantasy for the Nes. My favorite game of all time.

This was a neat thread that would surely benefit the entire community if it were BUMPED.

There you have it.

I still stand by my Mega Man 2 choice from a few years back... but I suppose a game like Bible Adventures would be more appropriate. Problem is, that game SUCKED.

I'd have to say my copy of TJ&E. Not only is it one of my favorite games (much more fun with two players though) its also one of the only pieces of my original collection from back when I was a kid that I still have. Somehow I convinced my brother to buy it when my mom made me sell off my collection and I ended up getting it back years later. I'd love to track down my old collection but that'll never happen so just have it to remind me of the good ol days

Linking it in a new thread got me to thinking...;but my selection reamins the same. Nothing gets me in the mood for some hardcore oldschool gaming like INTV Burgertime. Sure, SMB 1, 3 & 4 are all the shiz but Burgertime is where the business is. I'm all Burgertime. That's who I am.

Cartridge? Aw man, the only systems I've owned that use cartridges are the Sears Video Arcade II and the GBC, GBA, and DS Lite....so, Disgaea DS.

Oh. Classic cart. *sigh* Solaris, then.

(If I wasn't limited to cartridge-based games, I'd choose any of the Commander Keen games.)

There are so many "classic" carts (particularly for the NES) that had a significant impact on my childhood and are still quite meaningful to me as an adult, but the one that elicits more fond memories than any other is probably the NES port of Bump 'n Jump, which I used to play every time I was at my cousin Lee's house when I was growing up. He passed away unexpectedly back in 2005. Not only do I love that game (even though I still find it incredibly challenging, and have never beaten it!) but it reminds me of growing up with my cousins, who were more like siblings to my brother and I, as we were all very close. I miss Lee frequently -- probably most notably, as of late, in that I wished he could have been at my wedding last summer -- but whenever I start up Bump 'n Jump, I always think of the good times that we shared as children.

There are many games that I love, but this one likely holds more meaning, and more fond memories, for me than any other.
