Wow, REALLY NICE. MY only HUGE problem is that pitifaul console setup he has going. Everything else in the room is immaculate and perfect, then the console looks like a drunk duck with a poor sense of direction got ahold of it.

I agree with everyone else in that this is one of the best ever.

The only thing that I dont like is the fact that to play a game, he would have to pull it out from under a bunch of others and then lift up those others to put it back. Way too hard to keep tidy, unless you never play them.

oh and as a response. im not lame for knocking this guys collection. of course im the only one here who has said they werent incredibly impressed, but at other sites ive seen, 90% of the members said they thought his collection sucked, and i had the manners enough to word it nicely.

honestly its not the actual games that dont impress me (he does have far too many loose titles though)
its the fact that with all those games and systems hes got it all jumbled up hooked into one tiny ass TV. doesnt particularly make any sense.
i would also hate to see the current condition of those saturn game's booklets seeing as how they are lying on there backs.... i bet they are curved and bent as hell x_x

Love that Mario wall!!! Anyone who has problems with this collection obviously needs to have their head checked. This collection is very respectable and the owner has a lot of pride and love put into it. Don't knock him because he doesn't have something that you like- maybe he doesn't like the same things as you.

That is one of the best collections I have ever seen, but by far the most professional looking. I really like all the glass cases, and the shelves built onto the wall. My only complaint is how bad his system set up is. It's not terrible or anything, it just doesn't really compare to how great everything else looks.

Been there, done that. Even after I stated I do not sell a game unless it's a duplicate, I was torn apart for having a bunch of crappy games... then the "you're lying" posts started. That's why I only read and post on two boards there now.

The collection is clearly impressive, but not unreal. I do like his layout, and I've got something similar cooking in my basement.

I've got my collection up to 2500 games in about 2.5/3 years time. He's been collecting since 1998, so doing the math, if I keep spending like I do (and I don't get divorced), this will be achievable in a fairly short amount of time.

I've already got my car, house, and picket fence. All that's left is video games ;)

And, it goes without saying, that the gamefaqs and (to a slightly lesser extent) ign/gamespot boards are the slums of the collective video gaming presence on the net. Thus we can immediately disregard any comment originating from them.

Those pirate systems are absolutely hilarious. And how about that copy of Harry Potter for the NES?
It reminds me of that one site I saw (Red Eyes, I think) whose owner had a copy of "Rockman 5". It turned out that the game was a pirate of Darkwing Duck for the NES with the sprite of Darkwing swapped with the sprite of Mega Man. All of Darkwings moves remained, though (ie. Mega Man shot gas at enemies). It was funny, seeing as I don't think Mega Man has ever taken on any Disney villians.

I think this guys collection is most impressive, very well put together, and some amazing stuff in there. And who cares about a larger TV! I can play Pong on a 13" magnavox from the 80s as well as I can on a 60" plasma!

Anyone of us collectors put a lot of time, effort and love into our collections. We are proud of what we have accomplished, whether it be a beginner with a hundred games and a handful of consoles, or the veterans with thousands of games and too many consoles to list. No one has the right to dump on what we are proud of. To me it doesn't matter what you collect, as long as you have a passion for it. I love Nintendo (obviously) and don't care too much for Sony (although I don't rule it out entirely) but I won't crap on someone who loves Sony, because that's their thing.

cjayc decided to ban all users that had an account number higher than some number. i don't know what it it. lunarhawk was the user with that number meaning he would be the last one ever allowed in lue. he became known as "the one" when he started to post there. lueshi is an ascii image of mario riding yoshi. after it was posted it became a "fad" there. i don't know about the rest of what he said though.

Maybe he isn't interested in Neo Geo. I personally am not interested in it at all. If I won 100 billion dollars tomorrow, I still wouldn't have a Neo Geo, and many other consoles in my collection.

Neo Geo Pocket Color games are cheap, and it would be a heck of a lot cheaper to get a complete US collection of them than all those NES games had cost, I bet. Plus, I really can't imagine any type of gamer not finding at least ONE game to love on the NGPC; it's got platformers, shooters, fighters, RPGs, sports, just about everything a person could want.

It by no means makes the guy's collection bad, but I think it's silly to have such a broad collection yet lack anything SNK. If I knew the guy, I'd definitely recommend it. Of course, my collection is lacking key pieces too, but my collection is nowhere near as huge. If I ever reach that point, I'd like to hope I'll have at least a little of just about everything significant.

Anyway, chill out. There's been hardly any criticism here at all. o_O Although, I do think in this situation people would be a bit more inclined to criticize. The guy didn't come here and personally link to his collection and ask for feedback. Since he'll likely not see these messages, there's no harm in posting whatever our own opinions may be, whether positive or negative. I'm sure we all could come up with various criticisms of the collections we see posted here all the time, but the people who personally post or link to them themselves are seeking encouragement and praise, so I think that's what they deserve. Even if the guy did find this topic, I don't think anything we could say would scare him off from collecting. Heck, maybe he'd take to heart the few comments and alter his collection, making it even more enjoyable. At the very least, our criticism is a lot more constructive than "get a life". :P

Anyway, chill out. There's been hardly any criticism here at all. o_O Although, I do think in this situation people would be a bit more inclined to criticize. The guy didn't come here and personally link to his collection and ask for feedback. Since he'll likely not see these messages, there's no harm in posting whatever our own opinions may be, whether positive or negative. I'm sure we all could come up with various criticisms of the collections we see posted here all the time, but the people who personally post or link to them themselves are seeking encouragement and praise, so I think that's what they deserve. Even if the guy did find this topic, I don't think anything we could say would scare him off from collecting. Heck, maybe he'd take to heart the few comments and alter his collection, making it even more enjoyable. At the very least, our criticism is a lot more constructive than "get a life". :P

I *personally* find this in bad taste.. but whatever. I understand people have the right to express their opinions. You might say I was expressing my "counter" opinion.

I admit, I did get a little hostile in my post. But I'm just sick and tired of the hatin from other boards. Last thing I wanted to see was hating here. But hey, people are people and this board ain't a perfect utopia... MAH BAD. YUP, at his level it's his duty to get SNK goods. What the hell was I thinking?
