DP forum games: the competition is heating up!

Hi! I don't know how it happened, but, I won the first place trophy for Kwikshot with a score of 104,770. :hmm:

That's a huge mistake. My best score was 18 thousand something. Then I see that huge score. It should be removed, because it's in error. I would've remembered playing a game that long! :)

Also, my meseta is now 147, which is way too high. It should be under 10, I believe. After I played a couple times, I saw it was up to 18, but, unless you win meseta for Top 10 scores or something, it should be under 10.

I hope this is an OK thread to post this! If these things could be fixed, that'd be great.

I think its a great addition, but DAMN... Wheel of Fortune is so damn rigged. Anytime I get anything over 500,000, I get a bankrupt.. it happens WAY too often.

Thanks for your honesty. This game's scoring is clearly broken so I'm removing it from the list. You can keep the meseta you earned, consider it an "honesty bonus". :)

More games can be added at any time, folks. If you see anything on this list that you like (you can download and try them offline), e-mail or PM me and I'll check it out. I checked out a few games there. A few of them are really bad, but I really enjoyed Top Banana and would like to see that added. I also like Sonic Blox but I'm not sure we need another Tetris game.

You'll get it back, I'm certain. I thought my Frogger score was secure, and it got smashed. :)

As for Space Invaders, you literally can't lose at it once you figure out the simple method of destroying each wave. I intentionally quit at 330,000 points, with eight lives in reserve, 'cause I didn't think anyone would want to spend that much time grinding out a higher score. I was wrong, of course. Heh.

I kept waiting for it to get more difficult, and when it wasn't, I just listened to some tunes and watched/listened to the TV while doing it. The only problem is I think I hate video games now. :)

Thanks! Surely honesty is its own reward, but as long as no one loses belief in the meseta system, and my meseta has the full faith and credit of Digital Press behind it, well. . .eh, whatever. I thought I had some joke there, but, I guess not. :) Perhaps I can donate my meseta to those in need of avatars and fancy items.

Kwikshot was a pretty fun game, but as you note, the scoring was off, and the bonus stages didn't seem to add points.

Ha ha ha! LOL That's great. I didn't know. Oh well. Woulda saved my self some retina damage, but, it wouldn't have been the same using pause.

I expect scores in the billions now. Someone has to leave their computer on all day, and just pop in every once in a while to rack up a few thousand more points. :)

I just hit the 500,000 point mark on Space Invaders...after 3+ hours of play...Gods! My eyes are bleeding! I just had to quit. I figured out the pattern and once I did, it truly was an endurance test. Think I have carpal tunnel now. :(

Yeah I love the new games , they are alot of fun , but with some of the high scores being so "high" , the challange isn't about the skill of the player its more of :

Yes, 949 was very hard to get. Macnes and I sorta pushed each other to get it. if its possible to get any higher, I believe you would be rewarded with 950. But that would require an absolute perfect run.... :/ O_O

Some of the games won't let me sumbit the highscores after i've beaten them. Not that it matters all the time, but I just did a game where I regained my title for Hybrid Fighter and it didn't accept it and gave me the whole "sorry but your sumbit wasn't accept because blah, blah, blah." message and when I went back to the forums i'm logged off. :angry: Is this from the site crashing or something while i'm playing or something?

I'd like to consider myself a great gamer, but I often focus more on actually beating the game as opposed to racking up a high score, 'less the game doesn't have an end and the point is to get a high score. In which case, I'm not the best I could be. Bravo to all current trophy holders! :hail:

I am coming around to enjoying the games, but I wish I could tweak a few games to play better. So far the biggest problems I have found are small. Things like the special bombs in Ballon Bomber not carrying over to the next stage, or the multiplyer not going beyond 5. All around I think its very good that the games are included. I only wish I could figure out how to maximize my score in Ballon so I could get better then 2nd place.

I like that moon game...I forget the exact title...it's gameplay is reminiscent of the old black & white arcade game "Lunar Lander"...I'm in the top ten but doubt I'll ever get another trophy (had a few once but lost them) as I'm just not good enough :(

I just beat the highscore for Starfly, but when i hit submit it said error you must use the DP activity page

not THAT big a deal, but that took 40+ minutes to get that score, and that 200 or so meseta wouldve done nicely :(

If you were logged into the DP site and have been inactive for 15 minutes, then you are auto logged off. And you need to be logged in to submit scores. So check you are still logged in before hitting submit!

Just had to publicly congratulate mikeetler and dreams for beating my high scores and taking the trophies in mahjongg and solitaire. Solitaire didn't surprise me too much, but mahjongg :eek 2: Seriously, I've been trying to beat my own high score off and on since making it, and here mike comes out of nowhere and takes it! And the 2000+ meseta jackpot with it! Great job you two!

I cant believe I lost my high score in Warthog @_@ I mean everybody thought 175 was the top score and when I wake up this morning somebody has a score of 176... And on top of that it completetly throws me out of the the top two spots :hmm: Now I dont have any trophies :(

I played Warthog Rampage today & earned the silver trophy, because I couldn't pass 175 killed warthogs.

After thinking my mahjongg score couldn't be beat for the longest time, I just did and took the 2k+ jackpot 8-)
I know POG asked me this in chat, for my current high score I finished the game in about 117 seconds. It was a near flawless run, I always found another match after completing one. Good luck to those trying to beat it!

Mwahahahaha... took the mahjongg trophy from myself! Best part, also snatched the near 4,000 meseta jackpot! For those still trying to beat me, you must finish the whole board in less than 113 seconds.
