From a pawn shop in Socorro yesterday for $38:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v255/pzcortez/IMG_0155.jpg
This was all (except for Gauntlet) sitting behind the counter in a box with a bunch of loose controllers and common carts labelled for $40. I guess I smell like a collector, because the shop owner started jerking me around on pricing. He wanted $40 for just the console, $10 for the wireless and insisted on ten dollars each for the carts, none of which was better than R3 ROFL . Sensing I wasn't going buy any of the carts, he dropped the console price to $30 and "threw in" the wireless. I said okay and walked away from the carts. The Gauntlet disc was $8.
This is my 2nd good find this week on out-of-town business trips. I need to get out of town more often. 8-)
Your Sears Video Arcade II is in better shape than mine. Mine has the first owner's name on it, And the cable was being held together with tape when i got it. But the video cable has died since.
Do you have the AC for it? I don't see it in the picture..

Nice job at finding the Game Gear. Is the case that came with it the one that when flipped up has the game case holders and has room for the AC Adapter, Battery Pack, Super WIDE Gear (is that what it is called?) and the system itself?
I got one of those when I got my Game Gear many years ago... Too bad I dont play it because the games I have are terrible and the battery life is just as terrible. Im so happy they got the battery life up there for DS.
That's the one! (Oh, and not sure if there was confusion...I only acquired the case. I had already found the Game Gear previously at a flea market.)

I got a compatible PS with it, yeah. Atari branded, not Sears, so I didn't bother putting it in the pic. The pawn owner offered me 3rd party controllers for the machine as well (besides the wireless), but I have plenty of controllers so I didn't care. I'll have to hunt down the Sears ones now. 4Jays sells them I think.
You know you could probably replace that dead RF cable on your machine. If the board inside is set up anything like a woodgrain (or even a Jr) then the cable is not soldered on. Just pop it off and put a new one on...
I am admittedley curious as to what the board looks like inside this thing. I'll PM you if I find out anything worthwhile...

Thanks for the info.
I don't have the Exact Power supply either, But i do know three Power supplies that work with it:
Genesis 1 PS
Master System PS
Nintendo NES PS
Here is a site where you can find out more about the console:
http://darkwatcher.psxfanatics.com/console/2600.htm
It goes directly to the Atari 2600 Page.
My Sears Video Arecade II's Video cable goes directly to the TV. Do you think that it was modded? If it was, it's pretty well done.

Well, I picked up my 1000th game (plus) this week. Was going to wait and get something like Hyper Duel, but I couldn't resist:
Donkey Kong Jr. Math, loose, but in excellent shape - $6
Also picked up some other NES curiousities, all loose:
Chiller - $2
Venice Beach Volleyball - $2
Thundercade $1
Finally, was in EB last night and saw a brand new Hip Gear PSOne battery pack that I had to have for $10.

Chiller is a good find. It's sort of rare. But what makes it worth having is that it's pretty gruesome stuff. It was something of a grail (with a little g) for me, and I was lucky enough to find a complete one for $2.

$50 at Goodwill on Friday netted me the best find I've seen there in years:

That 2600 is a heavy-sixer, I think it's probably the first one I've owned 8-) . The manual stack was awesome and has filled quite a few holes in my collection, but the carts are all tradebait. Same thing with the INTV; there were a few carts in there I didn't have like Microsurgeon, Swords & Serpents etc and after gleaning through for missing overlays and manuals the rest will be bartered off or Ebayed.
Between the Sears Video Arcade II and this it's been one of my best weeks ever, and it's barely spring. Happy hunting days hopefully remain ahead.
