I win, in your face.. or something.

Picked up PAL PS2 Silent Hill 3 for $AUS3 - also traded in
a few crappy DVDs and a couple CDs at a branch of the
CD Library here in Perth.

Also, since a lot of people list this kind of thing too, my in-the-mail bounty:

- 2 bills
- GBC All Star Tennis 2000 loose
- boxed/new PS1 The Hoobs "Playtime Gift Pack", including presumably a stuffed Hoob
- a massive box with a couple DVD movies (Hidden Fortress, Schizopolis), couple PS1 games (Teletubbies, Championship Manager Quiz), some GC demo/cheat CDs (from the cover of a UK mag called Cube), a bunch of audio CDs (eg Junkie XL, Humanoid sessions) and PS2 Jet Ion GP.. thanks to a trade buddy in Eng-er-land.

Life's good, and it's only Monday night.

Picked up this stuff Sunday night:

3DO - Escape from Monster Manor (complete) - 6....the back of the box has some nasty stain with hair stuck to it and some rips from stickers or something. Oh well.

3DO - Space Hulk (complete) - 8

Genesis - Super High Impact (complete) - 3
Genesis - Boxing: Legends of the Ring (complete) - 2

AWESOME Sega Genesis Secrets Vol. 1
AWESOME Sega Genesis Secrets Vol. 4

Pretty cool books! They have full walkthroughs for tons of games as well as cheats. I have almost all of the games in the books so it'll come in handy.

I only found one game today, and it was only Croc 2 for $12 for PS1.

I did, however, find a FAKE Shining Force for GBA  and I bought the second DVD of Get Backers. I enjoyed Get Backers volume 1 immensely because of the main character, Ban Midou. His voice actor was so great, he had a sexxxy voice. I lurved him. :)

SO WHAT DID THEY DO? THEY CHANGED THE F*CKING VOICE ACTOR. AFTER A MEASLY FIVE EPISODES. JUST ENOUGH TO GET YOU EXCITED. GRRR. BASTARDS. I AM SO NOT HAPPY.

I was happy with Croc though.

I just played it for the first time, and I must say I'm not impressed. Graphics and music aren't much to talk about, and the gameplay seems pretty standard, at least I haven't discovered anything unusual about it yet. Can't read the instructions though due to lack of Japanese knowledge ;)

I don't know if anyone saw my post that says "I'm in Hawaii" but I KB Toys out here in Hawaii has those joystick games.. buy one get one 50% off. They had about 7 or 8 different ones.

I picked up Commodore 64 for $17l.99 and the Intellivision for $4.99. They had others like Ms. Pac-Man, Pac-Man Mini, Casino, Spongebob, Batman, and more.

Don't know if it's all of them.

I bought these over the last two weeks, but today I got the last one, so I took a pic for the Finds thread.

Went on a bit of an import binge on eBay, but I think I did well for myself (I spent what I wanted to spend) So without further ado:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v695/klausien/imports2.jpg

AC3 & Star Ixiom were new/sealed, but I play my games. $15 for AC3 & $10 for Star Ixiom.

Had been wanting Gunners Heaven and Hermie (overrated) Hopperhead and felt $8 for the latter and $25 for the former was a fair price.

I dropped $20 on Tobal 2 because it was on the list of games I had to eventually get.

Finally $10 for Astro Trooper Vanark. StarFox on PSX. Excellent game with great graphics. Been looking for the import version for some time.

Mario Clash for Virtual Boy, complete - $1.

Found it a Goodwill in El Paso today. Had to drive all the way down there for a stupid support call. The Goody was right by the client site so I popped in and found it. I was so stoked because it was the first VB game (save for Mario Tennis) I've seen in the wild. That one measly game totally made the drive to EP worthwhile.

Not so much an acquisition, but I haven't bought anything recently so I'll post this in leiu of actually buying stuff to post about:

I decided that my life just seemed rather empty due to the great amount of time since I last played Knuckles' Chaotix...I had a working 32X sitting around, but no leads for it. Therefore, I decided to improvise!

http://img118.echo.cx/img118/6449/10001526ch.jpg

It's a complete mess, and it'll probably all fall out if I pick the thing up wrong...but!

http://img118.echo.cx/img118/4006/10001509hw.jpg

Holy hell, it actually works! Pay no attention to the fact that the game in there isn't actually Chaotix -- I haven't yet reaquired the game (though I plan to pick up a copy in Tokyo if I see one) so I put it on my flash cart.

...yup, that's probably going to be about it for the next month or so. Oh wait, my friend and I did find an RCA Selectavision (WTF? Movies on vinyl-record-like media?) but the thrift I found it at was asking FORTY DOLLARS. That's twice what they go for on eBay. x_x

Stopped at a used game store today that I normally don't go to. Most of the people have bad attitudes. But now I'm glad I did!

NES:
Deathbots R6 $5

SNES:
CIB Super Scope 6 $13.00 :D
Exertainment Mountain Bike Rally R6 $7 :D

Genesis:
Punisher $5 Been looking for this one in the wild for some time now. Love the arcade version. :D

Best part of all: This stuff in is in great shape. The Scope itself looks brand new. It's box has minor damage but still in great shape. There's no stickers or tears on the cartridge labels of any of the games.

TG-16 console
CD attachment w/case & CD card
TurboExpress w/TV attachment
Air Zonk

Davis Cup Tennis
Dead Moon
Gunboat
Keith Courage In Alpha Zones
Klax
Power Golf
Super Volleyball
Takin' It To The Hoop

Fighting Street CD
It Came From The Desert CD

I think all the games are complete except for the outer box. Air Zonk, Chase HQ & Dead Moon don't come with plastic cases correct? Sherlock Holmes has 7 "The Times" newspapers. Is that all it came with? Did any of these other games come with anything besides a manual & case? I also got a Sega Master System w/Rocky & Spy vs. Spy thrown in with the deal.

At the thrift store today:

N64 System, Power Cable, AV Cables, Four Controllers, and loose GoldenEye for $21

Usually the systems I find in this thrift stores aren't complete (in the sense of having all necessary cables and controller to play). I've passed up a VCS because it didn't have the RF cable. And I've passed up several Genesises (Geneses?) because of missing one thing or another, so I was happy to get everything needed (and the analog sticks of the controllers were all in good shape, too)

Also, at Gamestop, I picekd up a new Phantom Brave for $20.

I found (at EB Games of all places) a SEGA Game Gear carrying case for $4. I'll be first to admit it's not in perfect condition (I had to clean it a bit, it's missing the letter "S" in SEGA, and the plastic's cracked a bit) but I bought it to carry my Game Gear, games, Wide Gear, and adapter...NOT to just sit on a shelf looking pretty. I think I got a pretty good deal.

Nice job at finding the Game Gear. Is the case that came with it the one that when flipped up has the game case holders and has room for the AC Adapter, Battery Pack, Super WIDE Gear (is that what it is called?) and the system itself?

I got one of those when I got my Game Gear many years ago... Too bad I dont play it because the games I have are terrible and the battery life is just as terrible. Im so happy they got the battery life up there for DS.

It's a complete mess, and it'll probably all fall out if I pick the thing up wrong...but!

That's twice what they go for on eBay. x_x

Get into Contact with my buddy Adam Vaughn, AdamAnt316 here. He can tell you ALL about the SelectAVision. :) I know. I've seen his and his Disc Collection.

From a pawn shop in Socorro yesterday for $38:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v255/pzcortez/IMG_0155.jpg

This was all (except for Gauntlet) sitting behind the counter in a box with a bunch of loose controllers and common carts labelled for $40. I guess I smell like a collector, because the shop owner started jerking me around on pricing. He wanted $40 for just the console, $10 for the wireless and insisted on ten dollars each for the carts, none of which was better than R3 ROFL . Sensing I wasn't going buy any of the carts, he dropped the console price to $30 and "threw in" the wireless. I said okay and walked away from the carts. The Gauntlet disc was $8.

This is my 2nd good find this week on out-of-town business trips. I need to get out of town more often. 8-)
